Drew McIntyre defeated Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship in Berlin, Germany, scoring the victory in a Three Stages of Hell match on Smackdown, which just went off the air in The United States. This would be McIntyre's third WWE Championship reign.
McIntyre pinned Cody in a traditional match after a low blow and Claymore Kick in Stage One. Rhodes won Stage Two, a Falls Count Anywhere Match, after a CrossRhodes on the announcing table. The Third Stage was a Steel Cage Match, won after McIntyre escaped the cage following Jacob Fatu's return.
