Wrestling Open

1/8/25 Worcester, MA

Spotlight Match: Bobby Casale vs All Go Nelli

What is important is that Nelli is dressed up like a traffic light…and declares himself the “crossing guard champion”. I am cheering for traffic. F*** the ranch and their “latest prospect”. Bobby spends most of this match pummeling Nelli. AGN rallies back but Casale gutwrenches him and hits a Bobbinator, slamming him down on his face for the three.

Match 1: Oxx Adams (w/ BRG) vs Brando Lee

Brando is looking to get one back for Ichiban, who Oxx put down on New Years. Lee starts fast but then Oxx grabs him and starts slapping the hell out of Brando. Lee starts to come back finally but BRG chokes him on the ropes and draws an immediate DQ. BRG gloats on the mic and tries to leave, Lee challenges them to a rematch next week. BRG is in a sling but maybe he wants to get involved again?

Match 2: Sammi Chaos vs Shannon LaVangie

Shannon reallllllly trying to frustrate Chaos but her offense just bounces off. Shannon tries a sunset flip and Chaos just sit splashes her. She tries a codebreaker? Sammi just tosses her. Shannon is “relentless” and refusing to stay down, no matter what Chaos throws at her. Sammi falls victim to “running into a boot” and then Shannon kicks her a bunch, hits a codebreaker, Sammi tries a facebuster but Lavangie rolls her up and gets the three. This was seven minutes.

Match 3: Christian Darling vs Mani Ariez (w/ Sammy Diaz)

Darling attacked Mani last week. It’s time for payback. Mani laying it in hard until the fight spills to the floor. Darling picks him up and rams Mani’s leg into the post with a hard crack. Christian stays on target but Ariez refuses to quit. He rallies back and tries a gutwrench bomb but his leg gives out. Darling with a superkick and a TKO puts Mani down for the three. The crowd started perking up big for this match.

Darling on the mic. He says Brother Greatness lied. He’s not getting handled. And next time he steps in the Eagle? Sammy is next.

Match 4: Eye Black Jack vs Nick Robles

From number one contender to Nick Robles. Nick annoys us with his cowbell and general presence. Jack puts him away clean in under five minutes with that high angle uranage.

Jack on the mic. He admits Bobby Orlando was the better man last week. But he still has title aspirations and plans to watch his defense tonight against DJ Powers VERY closely.

On the tron, Dustin Waller challenges Alec to a tag match for next week: Miracle Generation vs Bustah and the Brain - Alec Price & JORDAN OLIVER!!!

Match 5: Big Business (Brad Hollister & Love Doug w/ TJ Crawford) vs Stetson Ranch (Steven Stetson & Brian Morris w/ Bobby Casale)(c) (for the Wrestling Open Tag Team Championships)

Big Business is FEELING this moment. The crowd is right there with them. Stetson immediately tries to cheat but gets steamrolled by Bacon and Doug. Bobby Casale gets involved and Ranch is up for a while. Bacon gets the tag to doug and we’re

Off to the races again….but again, the ranch is doing ranch things and now Doug is isolated and taking a beating. Bacon finally in! Stereo Ankle locks! Stereo Olympic slams! The ranch tosses Doug…hi lo lariats to Bacon! Kick out! Fallaway slam to both member of the ranch! Doug barely recovered in the apron making the tag. Bobby with another cheap shot and Doug eats a Chasing the Dragon variation! Bacon makes the save but eats a Stetson powerslam! Stetson’s gonna do a moonsault?!? Doug throws the flower petals! Doomsday slice of love!!!! Stetson kicks out! This is bonkers. TJ finally intercepts Casale. Doug goes for the Rebound while TJ celebrates the inevitable win on the apron but Morris dodges the finish. rolls Doug up. Brian Morris gets the three. NOOOOOOOOOO!

Doug is furious and shoves TJ, blaming him for the loss. It’s really not entirely his fault. Doug DID miss the big move. The Ranch is shocked but estatic that they pulled it off. Crazy good match. I can’t even fault the end.

Match 6: Pedro Dones (w/ Pedro Jr) vs 23 Hazard

Hazard hates teachers. He mocked Pedro’s abilities as a dad. Dones is bringing his actual son to watch how dad lays down a beating. Mind you, this  is the same kid that kicked Ray Jaz in the d*** that one time. But before we get to the bell, Hazard attacks Pedro Sr with a chair. Pedro Jr runs to cover up and protect his dad. Hazard pulls the kid off and tosses him. Cue the entire lockerroom of faces charging the ring to check on the Pedros and drive Hazard away. We never get to the match itself. Everyone hates Hazard.

Main Event: Bobby Orlando(c) vs DJ Powers

Orlando running through DJ early and brings the fire to Powers, who is highly

Motivated and driven to win (according to his “goals” promo last week). Powers finally takes over and just talking so much trash as he beats on our championship mom. I notice that Eye Black Jack is seated on the entryway stairs, hopefully just trying to make sure DJ doesn’t pull any BS. Bobby with an awesome back rake and sunset flip bombs Powers across the ring. Bobby bomb For two! Powers eats a superplex but pops up with a neckbreaker breaker and frog splash for two! DJ is completely unhinged and demanding Bobby give up. This is HIS time! Bobby with a suicide dive and he suddenly realizes that EBJ is out there. He shakes Bobby’s hand but DJ demands he gets out. It almost breaks into a fight but the ref throws Jack out! Powers blocks a sick trick cutter…he’s going for the kill but Orlando swerves him in the corner, staggers him and the sick trick cutter connects for the three! Powers is DONE! Orlando celebrates with Worcester as we go off the air! Very fun night. It wasn’t a huge crowd tonight but it was LOUD and that clearly helped the performances tonight. Good stuff.
