Lots to unpack after RAW last night. They certainly started the new year with a bang. With the earlier title changes in the show, did you feel it foreshadowed Punk retaining? I just didn't see 3 title changes in one show.
I did, yes. I didn’t think that they would go that crazy with title changes. It would have felt a bit like hotshotting to me.
I really enjoyed the main event, but with the way the match was falling into place, it felt more and more like Punk retaining. Breakker was in control most of the match, and I was getting the feeling he was going to slip on a banana peel or Punk would capitalize on an error. Did you enjoy the match?
I thought it was excellent and it was done well in that the loss didn’t hurt Breakker at all. It more felt like it was just a matter of time until he became champ to me. I get why they didn’t have him go over the first time he got the opportunity.
The Vision interference was expected, but I was glad it didn't lead to Punk losing as I would rather see Breakker get a clean (more or less) first title win. You?
I agree with you 100 percent. His first Title win should be a no question about it victory.
I felt the commentary during the main event was exceptional. Cole & Graves really created a great narrative making Breakker seem like a killer and Punk possibly being in over his head, skill wise.
I agree as well. Cole and Graves are really good together as a team.
