1/3 AEW COLLISION REPORT

By Cory Strode on 2026-01-03 22:24:00

AEW Collision is live from the Esports Stadium Arlington in Arlington TX. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

We get a series of quick promos to start the show.

El Cl0n vs The Already In The Ring Angelic

El Cl0n is the evil version of Hologram and he is finally taking to the ring in the arena that Hologram premiered in. It's kind of strange to have this squash match as the show opener.

They work arm bars and takedowns. Cl0n gets a running lariat and then follows it up with a series of attacks in the corner. Cl0n gets a springboard into a two count. Cl0n gets a springboard DDT and lays in slaps in the ropes. Angelico gets a chop and a kick before Cl0n gets a leaping enziguiri and a tiltowhirl backbreaker. Cl0n hits a spinning blue thunder bomb he calls the Protobomb for the pin and the win.

Winner: El Cl0n.

Cl0n beats down Sirpentico until Komander rushes the ring for the save.

In a stairway somewhere, Jon Moxley puts over the Continental Classic again, and he says that what comes out of that is something unique, like nothing else in professional wrestling. He says because of the competition, the championship he holds has a high price tag. He says Shelton Benjamin is one of the best he will ever be in the ring with. He says Shelton will have to do a lot more than hurt him to get the championship.

Timeless Love Bombs (Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa) w/Luther vs Hyan and Maya World

Mina and Maya start. Mina gets out an arm bar and dodges a clothesline. Mina is able to trip and then drop onto Maya. Hyan tags in and Toni does as well and they shake hands before they trade headlocks. Toni gets a shoulder tackle and a basement drop-kick. Toni hits a snap suplex and tags in Mina. Mina gets a snap suplex of her own.

Toni drops Mina onto Hyaa for two. Hyan forces them to her corner where Maya tags in and Toni is able to drop-kick both of them. Toni tosses both of them to the floor and when Mina gets into the ring, Toni balances her as she comes off the top ropes into a crossbody onto Hyan and Maya on the floor and we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Hyan and Maya are double-teaming Mina. Mina fights her way free and when both her and Hyan are dropped, Toni gets that tag as does Maya. Toni runs wild, and after a DDT gets a two count. Hyan tags in, gets a facebuster, bulldog, a drop-kick and a two count. Hyan and Maya get a double team blockbuster for two, broken up by Mina. Toni avoids a double clothesline, and Mina gets a crossbody from the top onto both of them followed by double hip attacks from first Mina and then Toni. Mina hits a sling blade from the top. As Mina hits a tornado from the top onto Hyan on the floor, Toni gets a storm zero on Maya for the pin and the win.

Winners: The Timeless Love Bombs

They all shake hands after the match.

As Toni and Mina head up the ramp, we get Marina Shafir’s entrance music and she glares at them as we go to commercial.

Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne w/Penelope Ford vs The Already In The Ring Rache Chanel and London Dior

I guess all of the competitive matches are later in the show.

Shafir wins within 2 minutes with Mother’s Milk on Chanel.

We are told there is a problem in the back and Josh Alexander talks about how the Don Callis family will win at Wrestle Kingdom tomorrow as they are beating up a bunch of unknowns in the back.

Hechicero vs Komander - Winner faces Mark Briscoe next Wednesday for the TNT title.

Hechicero gets a shoulder tackle for two, and they do a quick series of mat rollups. They reset and go back to mat work as Hechicero gets a type of submission and Komander gets out of it with a tejaris. Hechicero picks the leg and then runs the ropes, grabbing Komander’s leg and slamming it into the mat.

Hechicero works over Komnader in the corner. Komander fights his way free and gets a hurricanrana off the top ropes. Hechicero wraps up Komander on the mat, but when they work to their feet, Komander leaps off the top rope and shoots Hechicero to the floor. Komander dives onto Hechicero, who catches him and tosses him into the barricade as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Komander is fighting his way out of the corner. Komander misses a series of kicks, goes for a DDT with Hechicero blocks before slamming Komander.  Komander leaps onto Hechicero’s shoulders for a takedown and then hits a springboard attack Hechicero picks the leg and slams Komnader back and forth before putting him into a bow and arrow. Hechicero then pivots the move holding Komander with a leg across his chest. Komander gets to the ropes for the break, and Hechicero lays in body blows.

Hechicero misses a crossbody in the corner and Komander kicks him to the floor and then runs the ropes until a shooting star. Hechicero is rolled into the ring, and as he rolls out, Komander gets a moonsault from the top to the floor. Komander gets a sunset flip in the ring for two.

Max Caster and Anthony Bowens are supposed to say three nice things about each other, and they say a bunch of sarcastic passive-aggressive commentary. We then see them being sent on a scavenger hunt. The end by saying that they will not be partners.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring to speak to Eddie Kingston and Ortiz. Eddie gives celebrations for the people holding up “It’s my birthday” signs. Eddie says he has quit the company at least 8 times since he came back, but with Ortiz with him, he’s gonna last a little while longer. Ortiz says that Eddie was born with the gift of gab and he has the gift of putting his foot up people;’s asses and they are coming for GYV. Eddie says they will get the GYV.

Lexi Nair is in the back with Big Bill and Bryan Keith. They call Eddie Kingston a dope, and there is a bounty of Jet Speed and they will collect that bounty.

Jet Speed (Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight) vs Big Bill and Bryan Keith

Speedball and Keith start the match. Speedball kicks Keith’s leg and they run the ropes. Speedball gets a big kick and then takes a clothesline from Keith. Keith gets a big boot. They then trade blows in the middle of the ring and as they work back today Keith’s corner, Bill grabs him. Keith knocks Knight to the floor and then starts to double team him. Knight gets to the top and drop kicks Bill and Keith. Bill is lured over the top rope before Speedball and Knight dive onto him and Keith.

Keith is rolled into the ring and Knight is tagged in. They give Keith a hip toss, Speedball hits a double knee drop, and Knight gets a splash for two. Knight gets a scoop slam and goes to the top where Bill shoves him to the floor. Bill gets a side slam on Speedball and Keith slams Knight into the barricade. Bill and Keith work over Speedball on the floor as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Knight has been the babyface in peril through the break. Knight gets a drop-kick on Bill after Bill misses a splash in the corner. Keith and Speedball both tag in and Speedball runs wild. Speedball covers Keith and Bill just picks Speedball up and tosses him away. Bill and Keith double team Speedball and nail him with a pair of quick big boots for two, unbroken up by Knight.

Knight tags in and Speedball dives onto Bill as Knight gets the UFO splash on Keith for the pin and the win.

Winners: Jet Speed

In the back, the Grizzled Young Veterans talk about how Ortiz and Kingston being pals is a story for the fans, but they see them as two down and dirty New York street rats. They will make their name at their expense.

Shelton Benjamin w/MVP vs Dante Martin w/Darius Martin and Christopher Daniels

They shake hands to start the match. Shelton locks up and just shoves Dante back. Shelton then tosses Dante over his shoulder. Dante gets a waistlock into a side headlock, and Shelton tosses him off into the ropes. Dante gets a tejaris followed by a drop-kick. Dante charges and Shelton is a brick wall that Dante bounces off of. When we return to full screen, Dante is firing forearms and then leaps until Shelton’s arms, who then slam him. After showing MVP trying to get Dante to give up during the break, we come back to Dante getting a flying DDT. He goes to the top and gets a flying splash for two. Dante gets a flip out of the corner for two. Dante gets a sleeper hold on while on the back of Shelton. Shelton spins Dante and slams him to the mat. Shelton gets a release German suplex. He hits a second and a third. Shelton gets a rising knee strike into a superkick for the pin and the win.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin

MVP calls for a mic and asks for a round of applause from Dante, and badmouths Scorpio Sky while doing so since Sky was not cleared to wrestle tonight. He then calls for applause for Shelton. MVP says Shelton is one of the most decorated and gifted individuals ever to step into the ring. MVP then says Jon Moxley rose above to capture the Continental Classic. MVP then says he is a cult like leader to his crew, and wants to make a revolution. They don’t care about that, they just want to make money.

MVP knows he likes to bleed all over like an animal, but Shelton Benjamin is the apex predator and there is nothing he can do about it. He says Mox is driven by an ideology, but he is NOT Shelton Benjamin. Mox will face Shelton Benjamin, and he will get hurt.

MVP needs to given the mic more often. He knows how to talk people into the building, old school style.

In the back, we have a pre-tape with Lexi with Sammy Guevara, who challenges Bandido next Wednesday and he will do something so heinous, he will put Bandido out. Bandido asks why he is so angry, all he had to do was ask for a match.

We are then given an update on Stokley as he requests Tony Schiavone read his update. Anyone who mocked him is dead to him and he is so courageous, they have nicknamed him little Lashley and his medical bills total over $400,000 and if you want to donate, see Tony after the show since all he has to do is drink anyway.

They lock up and Yuta quickly turns it into an arm bar. Darby reverses it and trips Yuta, grabbing a side headlock. When we return to full screen, Darby fights to his feet and then runs into Yuta. Darby gets a modified coffin drop after being whipped into the ropes. They trade waistlocks and Darby gets a Code Red for two. Marina trips Darby and Yuta attacks him from behind. The referee had seen the trip and Marina is outta here! Marina refuses to go, and Toni Storm charges from the back and they brawl at ringside until Daniel Garcia clotheslines Toni. In the ring, Yuta hits a sidewalk slam for two.

Yuta goes to the top and misses a splash. Darby dives into Garcia and then goes to the top and gets to the apron where Yuta drop-kicks him to the floor. Darby is rolled into the ring and Yuta covers for two. Yuta gets the hammer and anvil elbows, following with a scorpion death lock. Darby rolls under and Yuta springboards him to the top where Darby comes off with a double stomp to Yuta’s check and then a coffee drop from the top, then a second one for two count. Darby then grabs a scorpion death lock and Yuta finally taps out.
