IS JEY DONE AS A SINGLE, TIME FOR VAQUER TO MOVE ON, STATS AND MORE

Can Stephanie Vaquer be done with Nikki Bella now....please?

I am with you 100 percent.  I respect Nikki and all but her taking Stephanie to the limit does nothing for the champ.

I know it's early, but Austin Theory's addition to the Vision hasn't exactly been must see viewing for me.  Last week, he needed to be saved late in his tag match from taking a pin.  I don't think he should have been put in that position where he "could" have been beaten.  And last night, Logan Paul got him DQ'd when Mysterio had him on the ropes.  I would much prefer to see him being very dominant for the onset, so the announcers can say "this is a brand new Austin Theory" and it would help rehab him to the fans as well.  Your feelings?

I see your point, for sure.  The flip side is that when he left, after his horrible run with Grayson Waller, he was a goof so it would make sense that he would need to be taught a little bit by the vision.  If he was just suddenly great it makes my brain say, “Why didn’t he do that before”?

Is the Jey Uso singles push officially over, or on a hiatus?  Being honest, I don't want him in that mix anyway, but I do understand why they put him there earlier in the year.  They can always slot him back in at some point if they want to try again or the injury bug hits.  Do you feel that they got all they could out of him as a single, and at least he has the pedigree of being a former champ going forward if/when they use him to elevate a younger talent who is one the rise.  Thoughts?

I don’t know if it’s over but obviously they moved him back into the tag ranks.  When you look at the women’s division and all of the big name talent that they have in it now, it’s not a downgrade in the eyes of this creative team.  With that said, they have really dropped the ball on Jey’s push.  He was white hot coming out of the Rumble and they booked him really badly overall after that.  Hell, even last week he had a crisis of confidence.  Again.  They have done him no favors.

I know WWE announcers like to use stats when it comes to days as champion, and last night Joe Tess said it was the 4th title defense for Styles & Lee.  Being old school and raised on 80's NWA, 4 title defenses over 70 days isn't something that would fill me with awe.  Do you care about the stats in general, or should they save talking about that stuff unless it's a really significant number or plays into a larger narrative?

I think there is definitely a place for stats but they have to be the RIGHT stats. That one is just a stat for stat’s sake.
