This was the first 3 hour Smackdown, so we were expecting a great show and they delivered. There were a lot of signs (not shown on TV) that read like "I thought I was seeing RAW" or "This isn't Raw" This was originally announced as a Raw taping (the one this Monday) but a few days after tickets went on sale, they switched it to Smackdown.
Merchandise stands were absolutely packed all night.
The crowd was loud and into the whole show.
Only one match for Main Event - Talla Tonga defeated Apollo Crews.
When Randy Orton came out the noise level was off the charts. No one expected him to be there. He got a great reaction and ate it up for a long time
Women's tag match was well received, Rhea was way over with the crowd. I saw 3 people dressed as Rhea in my section.
When Matt Cardona came out, younger kids didn't know who he was. The "older" crowd went crazy. He was really over and I hope felt the Buff-A-Love.
Chelsea Green losing was kind of a letdown as she was well received.
The Ambulance match was awesome to see,
There were signs but we called his name and he did not appear. A lot of people expected Joe Hendry to show up.
No dark match and no return date announced.
I'm not sure how the crowd came across on TV , but in person, this was one of the loudest shows that I have been to.
