ORLANDO, FL – Major League Wrestling (MLW) today announced Okumura as a participant in MLW Battle RIOT VIII on Thursday, January 29 at the Osceola Heritage Park Events Center in Kissimmee, FL.

A two-time MLW World Tag Team Champion, Okumura enters the RIOT with a championship résumé few can match. Known for his toughness, ring intelligence, and global experience, Okumura brings a seasoned, battle-tested presence to MLW’s biggest and most chaotic match of the year.

Throughout his career, Okumura has competed at the highest levels across the international landscape, battling in iconic CMLL rings and testing himself against world-class competition in NJPW. That blend of lucha libre roots and Japanese strong style has forged a competitor who is comfortable in grind-it-out wars, high-pressure situations, and unpredictable environments.

The Battle RIOT is exactly that. Two competitors begin the match. Every 60 seconds, a new combatant enters. Eliminations occur by pinfall, submission, or being thrown over the top rope with both feet hitting the floor.  The last competitor standing earns a guaranteed future shot at the MLW World Championship.

Okumura’s championship experience, composure under pressure, and understanding of how to survive long matches make him a dangerous factor as the RIOT unfolds. In a fight where endurance and awareness are as important as strength, Okumura enters January 29 with the tools to make a deep run.
