After the announcement last night that former ROH Tag Team Champion Tony Devito has retired due to health concerns, his Carnage Crew partner HC Loc took to social media to pay tribute to Devito:
"The GOAT really did retire this December.
Its impossible for me to say how much this man means to me. Im not even sure I have the words to try.
With him at 35 years in the business and me 2 weeks shy of 31, 24 of those years we've been the Carnage Crew. 3 of those years we rode the roads in ECW. We shared a locker room for the first time in 1996 and wrestled each other for the first time in 1997. Im so thankful for all of it.
I'm thankful for Ground Zero recently having us in for their #DunnandMarcos tournament and treating us with such respect. I'm thankful for Mahdi Hendricks bringing me down to Florida so Tony and I could still team a handful of times a year . I'm thankful for Johnny Kashmere and Mike Johnson for treating us like gold the LAST TIME we thought Tony had to retire lmao! I'm so f**king thankful for Tony Devito .. my wrestling soul mate. I love you, my brother. My life would have been totally different without you.
Nobody tell him I said this, but the 3 decade argument is over.... he's the Shawn.
I'm sure we'll do other stuff but it looks like the Carnage Crew will never have another official match. I just wish we knew the last one was the last one.
You've earned the time to rest and heal up, my brother. I'll keep flyin the flag as long as I can
..... Hell of a ride"
