12/13 WRESTLING REVOLVER SEASON FINALE REPORT

By David Houston on 2025-12-14 10:46:00

The Wrestling REVOLVER held their annual Season Finale event in the Horizon Event Center in Clive, Iowa.  There were 3 title matches scheduled but REVOLVER champion "The Young GOAT" Myron Reed was unable to make it due to travel issues. They also held a pair of matches to determine future contenders and faction-breaking death match.

Bork Torkelson held down commentary with a revolving door of color commentators, including WR Vice President Phil Stamper, WR founder Sami Callihan and Jake Crist.

They start off pretty hot with opening with the two remaining title matches.  The Rascalz (represented by Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz) won the REVOLVER Tag titles from Latino's Most Wanted (Koda Hernandez, Sabin Gauge) in an exciting bout.  All gas, no brakes as you would expect from these four teams.  Gauge and the Rascalz observed the Code of Honor, but Hernandez was not having it. Spun his partner around and ushered him out of the ring.

KJ Orso became the first holder of the new WR Texas title to survive his first title defense, beating WR fan favorite Crash in a pretty good match.  Crash was all power and strength with Orso countering with speed and focus on Crash's left arm he had broken previously.

The fresh new aggression of Tye or Die (KJ Reynolds, Ryan Matthias) paid off with them getting a win over former WR tag champions Alpha Sigma Sigma (Brent Oakley, KC Jacobs), securing the number one contender position for the tag titles.  These two teams have faced each other in multi team matches in the two previous events, making this their first time in a standard tag match (REVOLVER not having a multi team match on this show is a pleasant surprise).  For a pair of young teams, this was quite good. ToD had a strategy of attacking Jacob's leg, something of an old school tag match.
They beat Oakley with their Acid Drop finish.  He was extremely frustrated after the match, another loss as they've been trying and failing to get back on track since losing the tag titles. Tense standoff with Jacobs. I'd hate to see this team break up but it's looking bad.

To determine a number one contender to the REVOLVER championship and to fill the void left by them not being able to have a main event title match, a 6 Way Scramble match was held. This also took the place of the scheduled 3 Way match between Jake Something, Damien Chambers, and Gringo Loco.

"Bulletproof" Steve Maclin got the win over "Firestarter" Jake Crist, Rich Swann, Loco, Chambers (with Kayla Cassidy), and Something. Wild match, even had some shenanigans with referee Nick Chin getting Stunners on everyone for reason.  Maclin got isolated with Chambers in the ring after Crist hitting a moonsault off the scaffolding on everyone, pinning Chambers with the KIA DDT.

The Golden Ticket gauntlet match (eliminations through pin/submission or tossed over the top rope with the winner gets to challenge for any title at any time) featured a wide assortment of talent: Dante Leon, "Big" Dick Meyers of Alpha Sig, Bigg Pound, "Starman" Harley Rock, the monsters Amazanga and Sam Stackhouse, Jessicka Havok of the Macabre plus the WR debuts of Slammie Davis Jr (whose name popped me and was impressive), JDX, Donnie Peppercricket and Leon King. They even included WR VP Phil Stamper and cameraman TussleMania.  This was a lot. A whole lot. Fun match. Stackhouse and Leon were caught up in the ropes when Alan Angels, who very recently betrayed the Macabre, who was not officially in the match, ran in and eliminated both then pinned Havok with a nasty spinkick to the head and a Frog Splash. He was the last man standing so he was awarded the win and the Golden Ticket.  Clive went mild. Probably not out of disrespect to Angels but confusion over what just happened.

Former friends and fellow podcasters turned wrestlers BDE and Chris Danger faced each other in a Mystery Partner tag match.  Danger picked great young heel Joe Alonzo, BDE picked former world champion Mr. Ken Anderson.  They had a solid bout. Anderson looked good but it was the young fellas out there putting in good work.  They did the "pull the ref to break a pin" spot for the second time on the show. Ugh.  Alonzo pinned BDE to give his team the win and seemed to make a point to Danger he wanted a shot at Danger's WR Remix title.

"The Atrocity" Krule (also Major League Wrestling World champion Mads Krule Krugger) sought to make Alan Angels pay for betraying the Macabre in a Macabre Death Match.  Angels had on some white pants so I knew there would be blood.   Angels fought his heart out but Krule was too big and too determined and too willing to take whatever Angels dished out.  Krule hits his full nelson face plant finish for the win. I'm not sure if this makes the Macabre faces in REVOLVER but Angels is definitely going for a top heel spot.

This was a show with something for everyone (except women's wrestling) and it went by pretty fast for just under 3 hours with intermission.

I enjoyed it a lot.
