AEW Collision was recorded earlier today at the Utilita Arena in Cardiff Wales. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.
We get a rundown of the matches this afternoon, and a recap of Samoa Joe’s victory over Eddie Kingston. They then show that after Adam Page and Swerve Strickland beat Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata, Page said he is coming for the World Title.
Swerve Strickland w/Prince Nana vs Josh Alexander
Don Callis joins commentary.
They lock up and Swerve is forced into the corner and Josh grabs a side headlock to pull Swerve from the corner and they run the ropes. Josh’s shoulder tackle doesn’t drop Swerve, but Swerve knocks down Josh. Swerve picks up Josh and hits snake eyes on Josh in the corner. Swerve then gets a backbreaker and motions that he is favoring his leg. Swerve then gets a knee drop on Josh. Swerve then gets a pair of neck breakers.
They fight into the ropes and as Swerve gets a neck breaker in the ropes, Nana gets in Callis’s face. Josh grabs Swerve’s leg and backs him on the apron, and then picks Swerve up and drops his leg on the announcer’s table. Swerve recovers and gets onto the apron, and Josh hits a crossbody block into Swerve’s back to knock him to the floor as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, they are throwing hands in the middle of the ring. Swerve gets a mule kick and they trade kicks. Josh attacks Swerve’s knee, and follows with a knee breaker into a back suplex. Swerve escapes a power bomb and turns it into a power slam and both men are down.
Swerve gets a snap mare of the corner and then a diving blow from the second rope. Swerve lays in kicks in the corner and puts Josh on top as Nana sings at ringside. Swerve joins him on top and Josh drops down. When Swerve tries a kick into Josh on the apron, Josh traps his leg over the top rope and slams him on the apron.
They both go to the top again, but this time Swerve is in control and hits an avalanche suplex from the top for two. Josh tries for a figure four, but Swerve rolls through for a small package for two. Josh keeps trying for a leg lock and Swerve captures him again for two. Josh gets a leg whip and then a single leg crab. Swerve gets to the bottom rope for a break.
They fight in the corner and Josh hooks Swerve's foot on the second rope and stomps on the back of Swerve’s leg. Josh tries for a double knee drop front eh top, but Swerve dodges it. Swerve hits the House Call for a two count. Swerve picks him up for a front slam for the pin and the win.

Swerve grabs a mic and says the last time he was here, he was world champion, and it’s time he got back to that. He didn’t come back to face off against the Don Callis Family, Hobbs, or Shibata, he came back for a world championship. He is coming for Samoa Joe’s championship.
Then there is a hype video for the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega vs the Family on Wednesday.
In the back, Toni Storm says she and Mina Shirakawa need to be involved in the Tag Team Title Championship toast.
Kris Statlander and Jaime Hayter vs Sisters of Sin (Julia Hart and Skye Blue)
Hart and Blue attack from behind before the bell and it doesn’t take long for Hayter and Kris to take control back. Hayter tags in Kris, and then she slams Kris on top of Blue. They drop elbows on Blue for two only. Kris catapults Blue into the turnbuckles and Hart tags in. Kris drops Hart and Hart fights her way to Kris’s corner. Hart knocks Hayter off the apron and gets a tejaris from the top on Kris. Hayter tags in and hits a pump kick and follows with an exploder. Hayter gets a back elbow in the corner and follows with a snap suplex for two.
Hayter charges at Hart, and Hart trips her. Blue gets a rising knee strike from the outside, and Hart follows with a standing moonsault for two as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Kris and Blue tag in at the same time and Statlander works over Blue with a flurry of quick offense. Blue slides down when Kris tries for a pile driver and gets a rollup for two. Hart tags in and they get a double team face plant on Kris for two. Hayter break it up and Blue tosses her to the floor. Hart lays in blows on Kris. Hart comes off the ropes and Blue is tagged in. Kris gets a power bomb and as she pins Hart, Blue gets a Code Blue for two and Hayter breaks it up again.
Hart gets a lung blower on Kris and all four women are down. They struggle to their knees, throwing hands as they get up. Hayter and Kris get jawbreakers and go for clotheslines, but Hart and Blue dodge so that Kris and Hayter clothesline each other. Blue gets a cover on Kris for two. Blue gets a kick on Kris, knocking her to her corner when Hayter tags in. Hart walks the ropes with Hayter, dropping Hayter’s arm on the top rope.
Hayter dodges a running kick from Blue, who nails Hart instead. Hayter gets a release German suplex on Blue and then a backbreaker on Hart when she gets into the ring. Hayter hits Hayterade for the pin and the win.

A spotlight shows Thekla is watching from a skybox.
Lexi is in the back with Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter and they decide to have a match at World’s End, and Hayter says she wants the title, so she will take it. They shout at each other about it as we go back to the ring.
Claudio Castagnoli vs Konosuke Takeshita- Continental Classic Tournament match
Renee Paquette goes over both men’s titles while at ringside. Don Callis joins commentary.
They lock and move to mat wrestling. They work back their feet and go to the ropes and they break clean, staring at each other. Claudio grabs a side headlock and they move to wrist locks and go to the ropes again. They run the ropes and neither can shoulder tackle the other until Takeshita gets a kick as Claudio comes off the ropes. Takeshita gets a leaping strike on Claudio. Takeshita throws punches in the corner. He then gives Claudio nine in the corner before Claduido carries him out of the corner.
Claudio gets a running uppercut in the corner, but it doesn’t drop Takeshita. They throw hands in the middle of the ring. Claudio rakes the eyes and then slams Takeshita. Takeshita fights out of it and gets a big boot. Takeshita clotheslines Claudio out of the ring. Takeshitya tries to leap off the apron into Claudio, who nails him as he leaps. Claudio then gets a double stomp on the floor. Takeshita nails Claudio with a DDT. Takeshita charges at Claudio, who catches him for a tilt a whirl backbreaker as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Takeshita gets a hurricanrana on Claudio and then dives over the top onto Claudio. Takeshita rolls Claudio into the ring and gets a running big boot followed by a blue thunder bomb for two because the blue thunder bomb never wins a match. Takeshita tries for a knee strike, but Claudio catches it and gets the Big Swing. Claudio turns it into a sharpshooter. Claudio turns it into a crossface to stop Takeshita from grabbing the ropes. Takeshita rolls back for a two count. Claudio gets an uppercut for two.
Claudio gets mocking kicks until they are throwing hands in the middle of the ring. Claudio gets a big uppercut, and they move to big attacks back and forth. Takeshita hits a pile driver into a back suplex. Takeshita gets a running hidden blade for two. Takeshita waits for Claudio to get up and runs into a pop-up uppercut for two from Claudio. Takeshita gets a rollup for two. They trade blows back and forth until both men are down.
They crawl toward each other and go back to throwing big blows. Claudio is dropped to his knees and they move to the apron. They throw hands back and forth until they both drop to the floor.
They move to throwing blows back and forth on the floor until they are both down again. Takeshita makes it into the ring at 8 and Claudio dives in as the ref is about to call ten. Takeshita goes for Raging Fire with 30 seconds left, Claudio blocks at and turns it into a neutralizer for two.
The bell rings and the time limit has expired.
No winner: Each man gets one point.
The two men keep fighting and the referees corp get into the ring to break them up. This brings out the Death Riders and the Family to hold the combatants back.
Lexi is with Speedball Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight in the back, who will face each other tonight. They say they each bring the best out of each other, and they will not hold anything back.
Tony Schiavone is with Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron for their Champaign celebration for winning the tag team championship. They talk about their partnership as we then get the entrance of the Timeless Love Bombs, Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa. Mina says they asked Harley and Willow for a fight to remember and Toni says that’s what they gave the fans. Mercedes Mone shows up on the stage and says there can’t be a championship celebration without her.
Mina tells her to shut up. Mone says that she has beat them all at Blood and Guts. Toni says they should do it right here and right now. Mone refuses and heels Wales. Harely says they are four of them and one of her, and Willow says Mone has no friends. Mone says she doesn’t need friends, but Wednesday she will bring a team of killers to face them in a four on four match
Backstage, Ricochet says he is entering the Dynamite Diamond ring battle royal. We also see Brody King, Mac Caster, Anthony Bowens, Shelton Benjamin, and Mark Davis are all also entered.
Kevin Knight vs Speedball Mike Bailey - Continental Classic Tournament match
Renee is at ringside to go over both men before their match.
They have words and shake hands before the match. They get quick rollups immediately and then dodge each other’s moves. Knight backs them into the corner and Bailey’s taped spine goes into the turnbuckles. Knight gets a hammerlock into the ropes, and when they break, Bailey gets an elbow shot and they trade shots. They dodge each other's dives until Bailey gets a moonsault from the top onto Knight on the floor as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Knight gets a springboard clothesline from the top rope onto Bailey on the floor. Bailey is rolled into the ring. They fight in the corner and Bailey gets a leaping hurricanrana from the top. They fight in the corner angina and Knight gets a leaping hurricanrana from the top. Knight gets a deep DDT for two.
They fight on the apron and Bailey gets the backflip double knee drop. Bailey then goes to the top and Knight joins him there. Knight is knocked down but then leaps to the top where Bailey gets a superplex from the top for two. Bailey gets a Spanish Fly for two, and Knight reverses for two. Bailey gets a big kick, but Knight gets a drop-kick and both men are down.
Knight leaps into a roundhouse kick from Bailey. They get up slowly on opposite apron and hit a springboard leap into each other in the middle of the ring, which looked amazing. Knight gets a coast-to-coast drop-kick on Bailey from the top. Knight goes for a UFO splash, but Bailey gets the knees up. Bailey gets a big kick for two. Bailey gets two more big kicks, but he misses the Ultimo Weapon from the top. They trade two counts back and forth. Bailey gets another big kick and puts Knight on top and gets a Rubik’s Cube into a cover for the pin and the win.

A great spotfest between two men who are both incredible high-fliers.
In the back, Kyle Fletcher complains about losing to Bailey, but on Wednesday, he faces Pac. He needs to bring the fight to Pac, and he will get his momentum back. We then get a short promo from Pac who says he is in awe of what Kyle has achieved, but he is about to dive into a very different pool.
Mark Briscoe (TNT Champion) vs Daniel Garcia w/Marina Shafir
They move immediately to mat wrestling and since neither can get an advantage, they break. Briscoe chips Garcia to the corner and then stomps him down. Briscoe tries a suplex, but Garcia escapes out the back. Briscoe backs Garcia to the corner and then knocks Garcia out of the ring. Briscoe gets a running drop-kick onto Garcia on the floor. Garcia returns to the ring and grabs Briscoe when he gets on the apron and then gets a running knee to Briscoe’s back, knocking him to the floor.
Briscoe tries to get back into the ring and Garcia stomps him down there. Garcia and Briscoe fight in the corner and Briscoe pulls Garcia to the floor where they brawl. Briscoe goes for a dive from the apron, and Shafir distracts him so that Garcia can attack. Garcia gets a swinging neckbreaker on the floor as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Garcia has Briscoe in the ring and gives mocking kicks. Briscoe shoves him off and they start fighting. Briscoe comes off of the ropes and gets a series of blows on Garcia and drops Garcia. He nails Garcia with a series of jabs and then Redneck Kung Fu. Briscoe gets an exploder suplex for two. Briscoe goes for the Jay Driller, but Garcia reverses it into a suplex.
Briscoe gets a Death Valley Bomb and then goes to the top for Froggie Bo. Shahfir knocks his feet out from under him and the ref suspects her of something. Garcia goes to the top and scrapes Briscoe’s back. Garcia gets a superplex from the top and holds on. He puts Briscoe up on the top again and gets a second superplex. Garcia tries for a third, and overcomes Briscoe's resistance for another, but Briscoe rolls through and gets a brain buster.
Both men are down, They get up at the same time and throw hands. Garcia gets a series of blows and Briscoe dodges a final blow and gets a flurry of his own. Briscoe runs into a big boot and Garcia gets a series of kicks and strikes. Briscoe comes back with a lariat. Briscoe tries for a Jay Driller, but Garcia blocks it. Shafir grabs Briscoe’s foot and is dragged into the ring and she…is…outta here.
As she leaves, Wheeler Yuta hits the ring for a low blow and Garcia covers for two. Garcia gets the hammer and anvil elbows. Garcia tries for the sharpshooter, but Briscoe reverses it into a Jay Driller for the pin and the win.
