Gunther makes his way to the ring.
Gunther waits for the crowd to get its Cena chants out before speaking. Gunther tells the fans chanting for Cena not to get their hopes up because he won't be here tonight. Gunther says this is his time. As he walked to the ring, it dawned on hiim. By submitting LA Knight, he has earned the biggest honor of his career. In five days he will be the last opponent and the last match in the career of John Cena. Gunther says 17 world championships, all of the time on the road, hustle, loyalty, and respect. He says that John is the greatest sports entertainer of all time. Cena will face the best professional wrestler of all time.
He tells them to put up the clock which is a count down to Saturday. This way you know how much time you have to worship John Cena as your hero. A man who never gives up.
Beating John on Saturday is not enough. He will do what nobody ever did before. He says he is going to break John's spirits. He says he is going to bully John Cena and then wrap his arms around John's neck and squeeze until there is no hustle, loyalty, and respect. He says he will force John Cena to give up.
We take a look back at the main event from last week's Raw.
Oba Femi is in the crowd.
Match Number One: Iyo Sky (with Rhea Ripley) versus Kairi Sane (with Asuka)
They lock up and Sane misses a back fist. Sane goes into the ropes to stop Iyo from doing anything. Sane with a wrist lock and Iyo with an Irish whip and she runs into a boot. Sane with a head scissors but Iyo with a handspring to her feet. Iyo with a chop and Sane with a sunset flip for a near fall. They exchange near falls. Iyo with a La Magistral for a near fall. Iyo sends Sane to the apron and Sane goes up top and leaps over Iyo and shows no respect for having ears. Sane with a head scissors to Iyo. Iyo with a back handspring followed by a leg sweep and a clothesline. Sane goes to the floor and Asuka gets on the apron to stop Iyo. Iyo goes to the floor when Asuka moves out of the way but Asuka cannot spit mist because Rhea makes her way over to Asuka. Sane with a forearm off the apron. We get some posing.
Sane tells Rhea to get out of the way so she can pick up Iyo and Sane with chops.against the apron and announce table. Sane gets a near fall. Iyo with forearms but Sane pulls Iyo down by the hair. Sane with forearms. Sane with a single leg crab. Sane ties up the legs to add more pressure while Asuka dances on the floor. Asuka drops Iyo on the middle rope while the referee talks to Sane. Sane goes for a Boston Crab and locks it in and Sane leans back. Sane leans back and Iyo escapes and gets a near fall.
Sane goes for the Sliding D but Iyo with a boot to the arm. Iyo with shotei and a flap jack. Sane with an Irish whip and Iyo goes to the apron and kicks Sane. Iyo with a springboard drop kick and she shows Sane to respect the ears. Iyo with a running double knee strike in the corner and she gets a near fall. Iyo goes to the turnbuckles for a moonsault but Sane with a double sledge to the back and that puts Iyo in the tree of woe. Sane goes up top after some kicks. Sane with a double stomp and she gets a near fall. Sane misses a back fist and Iyo with a round kick. Sane lands on her feet to escape a butterfly X Factor and Sane with a sliding D. They go to the apron and Sane back drops Iyo but Iyo lands on her feet. Iyo with a German suplex on the apron and Sane falls to the floor.
Iyo with an Asai Moonsault. Iyo sends Sane back into the ring and Sane misses a punch. Iyo with a round kick and Sane falls to the mat. Iyo goes up top for a moonsault but Sane rolls away and Asuka drops Sane onto the turnbuckles and she falls into the tree of woe. Asuka misses a kick on Rhea and Rhea with a thrust kick and she sends Iyo over the ringside barrier. Iyo with a head scissors to counter a double stomp. Iyo with a moonsault for the three count.
Winner: Iyo Sky
Paul is with Bron and Bronson in LOCKER ROOM and Logan Paul shows up.
Logan asks if anyone saw Rey slap him. He says something needs to be done.
Bron and Bronson get up and Bron says they will handle it. They will do it tonight.
Logan would like to talk to Paul for a second.
Logan says this Rey situation is going to be handled tonight. Paul says Logan has backup now. Logan says he appreciates the back up. He wants them to know if they get in trouble, he is their back up too.
Paul says he didn't think he could respect Logan more but he does. Paul gives Logan his brass knuckles . . . just in case.
They say 'just in case' fifteen times.
While Rey Mysterio walks in the back for his match, Adam Pearce is arguing with The New Day.
Byron Saxton is in the Interstitial Interview Area with Lyra Valkyria and Bayley.
He asks about the tag title picture.
Bayley says the tag division is the strongest it has ever been. She says that means a lot to her. She says they want to start dipping their toes. They don't care who it is because they are not a team to mess with.
Lyra says Liv remembers losing to tag titles to her and what happens when she wins the titles again.
Erik and Ivar say they rise time and again. They are stronger than ever. They have shed their armor. They head into their future without fear. Your time to run and hide has ended.
Match Number Two: Rey Mysteiro versus Finn Balor
Logan attacks Rey as he makes his way to the ring and he sends Rey into the ring post. Logan kicks Rey in the ring. Logan with punches to Rey. Logan pulls out his brass knuckles and puts them on. Logan winds up and Rey kicks Logan's hand and Rey with punches. Logan with an elbow. Logan winds up again and Rey drop kicks Logan in the knee and he falls into the ropes. Rey sets for a 619 but the hooded mystery person with a super kick and Black Out. The man leaves as security is five seconds too slow and they chase masked man to the back.
The referee helps up Rey and Logan with a punch.
LA Knight's music plays and he comes to the ring and Logan leaves the ring.
He tells Logan to stay there. He says if that is Seth in the hoodie, he will be angry. He says the group sucked more when you joined them. It is time for you to pay. He doesn't want him to pay on Saturday or Friday. He wants him to pay on Monday . . . in KC.
LA Knight helps Rey to the back.
Je'Von Evans is in the crowd.
AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will face Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater at Saturday Night's Main Event.
The New Day appear at ringside.
Match Number Two: Erik and Ivar versus AJ Styles and Dragon Lee for the Raw Tag Team Championships
AJ with a forearm into the corner and Lee with a leg sweep and hesitation kick. Lee with a drop kick for a near fall. Lee with a reverse chin lock on Erik and AJ tags in. They hit a double back elbow. Erik with a forearm and Ivar tags in. Erik goes over the top rope to the floor and Lee leap frogs a charging Ivar. AJ tags in and Lee is caught on a cross body. Erik and Ivar send AJ into the apron and Erik is sent into the ringside barrier. Ivar with a cross body against the apron. Ivar with a back elbow and a head butt. Ivar with an elbow to the top of the head. AJ with forearms and he escapes a slam. Ivar with a cartwheel and spin kick of doom for a near fall. Erik tags in and Ivar slams AJ and then Erik slams Ivar onto AJ. Erik gets a near fall. Erik with a reverse chin lock. AJ with a forearm and Erik with a back body drop for a near fall.
Ivar tags in and Ivar with a splash and Erik with a running back elbow for a near fall. Ivar with a chin bar on AJ. Ivar gets a near fall. Erik tags in and he connects with a knee after knocking Lee off the apron. Erik with a near fall. Ivar tags back in and Ivar with knees. Ivar gets AJ up but AJ gets to his feet. Ivar misses a spin kick of doom and AJ with a Pele Kick. Lee and Erik tag in and Erik with a kick to Ivar and he hits a head scissors on Erik. Lee clotheslines Erik over the top rope. Lee with a leg sweep and slingshot kick to Ivar. Erik puts Lee on the turnbuckles but Lee stops Erik and puts him in the tree of woe. Lee with a double stomp and a jumping knee to Ivar.
Lee tries to get Ivar on his shoulders and he falls under Ivar's weight. Lee with a rolling Death Valley Driver-ish move. Lee with a running back elbow and he gets a near fall. Ivar pushes Lee into the corner and misses an elbow. Ivar with a seated splash and Erik tags in. Lee with a double rana and they go to the floor. Lee goes for the rana over the top rope to the floor but Erik blocks it. Lee with a super kick and then Erik sends Lee to Ivar for Viking Experience on the floor.
Ivar goes up top and Erik tags in. Ivar with a moonsault and AJ breaks up the cover. AJ pulls Lee into his corner for the tag and then Erik tags back into the match. AJ with a forearm to Erik and Erik with kicks. AJ with strike but Erik with a knee to the head and he gets a near fall. Ivar tags in and he goes to the turnbuckles. Erik gives AJ to Ivar and AJ with a rana and Ivar goes into Erik. Lee with a flip dive to Erik. AJ goes to the apron for the Phenomenal Forearm and he connects for the three count.

After the match, the New Day enter the ring.
Jey Uso's music plays and he comes to the ring through the crowd with Jimmy.
Before Jey or Jimmy speak, we get to raise and lower our arms again.
Jey says they are in your city. Jimmy says they have a big ass announcement. They are back in the tag team division. Jimmy says because they have been taking a lot of Ls. Jimmy says he was watching his brother crash out and he felt bad. He called Jey when he got back to the hotel and he asked what are they doing.
Jey says they gonna get back to us. They gonna block the noise. They gonna body them all. The tag division is on notice that the best tag team is in your city. They need gold.
Jimmy says they respect the tag champs and he says they don't know them.
Jey says The New Day does. You know how this ends. They gonna body y'all and go through them as usual. He says they are taking it all.
Jimmy and Jey punch Kofi and Woods. Waller decides to leave the ring to check on Kofi and Woods.
Stephanie Vaquer is walking.
They run through the card for Saturday Night's Main Event.
Jackie Redmond is in the ring and she brings out Stephanie Vaquer.
She asks Stephanie who is next for her.
Stephanie says she wants to face everyone. She says she is not someone who talks too much. She speaks through her actions. She can prove why she is the best luchadore on the planet. It is not because of the Devil's Kiss. She says she is the best and Nikki is a legend. Today the women's division is different than 15 years ago. We have Rhea Ripley, Bayley, Nattie, Iyo Sky and they are all amazing.
Nikki Bella interrupts and makes her way to the stage.
Nikki says Kansas City does not deserve someone like her. She tells Stephanie that they are so not done. She says she demands a rematch.
Raquel Rodriguez pulls Nikki off the apron and she lawn darts Nikki into the ring post.
Raquel enters the ring. She tells Stephanie to name the time and place and she will take the title.
LA Knight is bouncing in the back.
Byron is back on the Interview Stage and he is with Ivy Nile, Brutus and Julius Creed.
Byron mentions Ivy's match against Maxxine for the IC Title. He asks how will she prepare to face her former best friend.
Ivy says they were friends, but so what? You have been a champion and it it unbelievable that Maxxine is a champion and she is not. You will get your social media push and now she is training with Nattie. Congrats. Is that what you want? Ivy says she has been training like this her entire career. Just because you are champion, it does not make you better than her. You have never beaten her. You will drop the ball like the Chiefs did last night. No matter how much training you do, nothing will save the title from her.
The Judgment Day are in the back and Finn says it was an easy night for him. Finn says Dom's deadbeat dad kicked and stomped him.
Liv wants to know what Raquel did.
Raquel says Nikki cost her a title match last time and she wanted to stop her.
Liv says she wishes she was told.
Roxanne says she didn't know they had to get Roxanne's approval.
Raquel says she is going to talk to Pearce.
Liv tells Roxanne that she will be in her corner because they are going to be the next tag team champions.
Finn says that is good for them.
Sol Ruca is in the front row for this match since she is wrestling Bayley on Saturday.
Match Number Three: Lyra Valkyria (with Bayley) versus Roxanne Perez (with Liv Morgan)
Perez rolls away from Lyra but Lyra blocks a second attempt and Lyra backs Perez into the corner and they lock up. Lyra with a wrist lock and a Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Lyra with a hammer lock using her leg and she ties up the arm and leans back for a near fall. Perez goes into the ropes and she punches Lyra. Lyra with a leg sweep and drop kick. Lyra with another Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Perez goes to the floor and Lyra with a drop kick through the ropes but Perez blocks it. Lyra kicks Perez away. Perez with a hammer lock and she sends Lyra shoulder first into the ring steps. Perez pulls the shoulder into the ring steps a number of times. Perez stands on the arm on the ring steps.
Perez wraps the arm in the ropes and she kicks the arm. Lyra with forearms. Perez with an STO and she drops a knee on the injured arm. Perez chokes Lyra in the ropes. Perez gets a near fall. Perez with a wrist lock. Lyra with forearms but Perez sends Lyra to the mat and she tries to stomp on the elbow but Lyra moves and grabs the leg. Lyra with forearms. Perez with a Northern Lights suplex and she gets a near fall. Perez with a flatliner DDT and she continues to work on the arm. Perez with an arm bar. Lyra stomps on Perez to get out of the hold. Lyra with a cross body for a near fall and Perez bridge sout of the cover but Lyra with another rollup for a near fall. Perez with a jackknife but Lyra counters with a sit out power bomb but she cannot capitalize because of the damage to the arm. Lyra with clotheslines.
Lyra with a back heel kick and more kicks. She misses an enzuigiri but Perez misses a cartwheel knee drop. Lyra with a drop kick through the ropes and she sends Perez back into the ring. Lyra goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Perez blocks a suplex and Perez goes for an arm bar. Lyra drops Perez on the apron and Perez drops Lyra on the top rope. Perez with La Mistica and a cartwheel knee drop for a near fall. Perez with a Fujiwara arm bar. Lyra counters and goes for a power bomb but Perez blocks it. Perez has a back heel kick blocked and Lyra with a leg trapped German suplex. Lyra gets Perez up for Night Wing but Liv distracts the referee and Perez rakes the eyes. Bayley pulls Liv off the apron and then Perez with a drop kick through the ropes to Bayley. Lyra with an inside cradle for a near fall. Lyra goes for Night Wing but Perez with an elbow. Lyra with an O'Connor Roll and Lyra is hit by Liv on the apron and Perez with Pop Rox for the three count.

Interstitial Champion Kofi Kingston interrupts Byron.
Kofi asks if that happened. Did the Usos stick their nose in their tag team business. Do they think they can come and go as they please. Kofi says they are the greatest tag team in history and the titles belong to them.
Woods says the Usos told the truth about all of the Ls you have taken. Next week, you can add another one. To get a title match, you need to go through them. It does not matter if you bring the face paint, the ula fala, or your father with the bad BMI, they are going to bury you under the Uso Penitentiary.
We go to the latest Maxxine Dupri training video. Maxxine taps a number of people out and wants more.
Nattie tells Maxxine to try it on her.
Maxxine makes Nattie tap out and she wants to do it again.
Match Number Four: Logan Paul versus LA Knight
Logan with an end around of the referee to punch Knight and the referee starts the match. Logan with punches and kicks. Logan with an Irish whip but Knight with a clothesline out of the corner. Knight punches Logan and sends him into the turnbuckles. Knight suplexes Logan back into the ring and gets a near fall. Knight clotheslines Logan over the top rope but Logan moves and Knight goes to the apron. Knight with a clothesline off the apron and then he rearranges the announce table. Logan hits Knight from behind and he runs Knight into the apron. Logan with a punch and Knight pulls Logan to the floor. Knight sends Logan's head into and near the announce table.
Knight sends Logan back into the ring and Knight with an elbow across the edge of the apron. Knight with a slingshot shoulder tackle for a near fall. Knight sends Logan into the turnbuckles and follows with an Irish whip. Logan with a boot and clothesline. Logan with a kick and punch. Logan misses a punch but he lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex. Logan with a Zig Zag for a near fall. Logan with punches in the corner. Logan with a running uppercut into the corner. Logan chokes Knight in the ropes. Logan with a boot to the head and he poses before hitting a split leg drop and he gets a near fall. Knight with punches. Logan with a knee to the midsection. Logan kicks Knight in the corner. Logan with forearms and he goes to the turnbuckles for punches but Logan is dropped on the turnbuckle. Knight with many punches but he misses a discus clothesline. Logan with a hot shot and an Over Bomb for a near fall.
Logan punches Knight. Logan with more punches. Knight with punches. Logan with a kick and Knight with a flying clothesline. Knight with a side Russian leg sweep. Knight with an Irish whip and leaping neck breaker for a near fall. Knight with kicks in the corner. Knight with a running hip into the corner. Knight puts Logan on the turnbuckles and Knight goes up top.
Bron Breakker and Broson Reed make their way down the aisle to the ring.
Logan punches Knight off the turnbuckles an Logan with a cross body like maneuver for a near fall. Logan kicks Knight. Knight escapes a gutwrench into a reverse DDT. Knight goes to the turnbuckles for the Catchphrase Double jump elbow drop and he hits it. Knight sets for the BFT and Bron gets on the apron. Knight punches Bron. Reed with a head butt and the referee does not see it. Bron and Bronson attempt to get in the ring and the referee sends them back. Knight knocks Reed off the apron. Knight with a drop kick through the ropes to Logan. Knight punches Logan and the hooded stranger with a Stomp to Knight. Knight is rolled back into the ring and Logan goes up top. Logan with a frog splash for the three count.
Winner: Logan Paul
After the match, Logan holds Knight for a WARP spear. They pull Knight into position for a Tsunami. Reed goes up top again and he hits another one.
Officials make their way to the ring to check on Knight. They roll Knight to the floor.
Paul takes a mic.
Paul introduces himself and the rest of the people in the ring.
Paul says he truly doesn't understand what you are booing for. When you live in a hell hole. Is this Kansas City, Kansas? Is it Kansas City, Missouri? Paul says he cannot tell. One thing he can tell is that on January 5th, you will have a new Heavyweight Champion and his name will be Bron Breakker.
Bron is handed the mic.
Bron says he has one question. Where is CM Punk? He's not here because if he was here, there would be two losses in back to back days in Kansas City. He is not asking where is Punk physically, but where is Punk? He does not buy the nice guy. He comes back and is the nicest guy ever and takes photos with the talent to make everyone think he is a great guy. He says Punk is a fraud. Imagine preaching your entire career that you are straight edge and then it turns out he looks like the biggest crackhead you have ever seen. He doesn't want to face the new nice guy on January 5th. You might as well stay home and vacate the title because he can beat him easy.
He says he wants the old CM Punk. The guy from 2011, 2012, and 2013. The guy who beat the Rock and was champion for 434 days. He wants to face the guy that he thought was the greatest when he was a kid. Bron begs for the old CM Punk because he wants to beat the greatest superstar to lace their boots. If not, he will destroy him and take his title. He will take Punk's title . . . and his wife, too.
We see LA Knight in the back and he tells he officials he is not done.
Bronson and Logan go to the back.
Bron tells Punk he will keep it real simple for him. It will be spear . . . one, two, three. Bron rips off his shirt and he repeats himself.
Logan and Bronson send Knight into a storage case and then punch him. Knight fights back but Logan and Bronson attack Knight and security. Reed power bombs Knight through a table.
Reed says they run WWE.
Knight tries to get up so Reed and Logan resume the attack. Reed hot shots Knight onto a vehicle. Logan with knees. They put Knight on the roof of the vehicle. Logan with punches. Reed with a Tsunami off the storage case onto Knight.
