Has Matt Cardona signed with WWE to reprise Zach Ryder or was that just a 1 off for the Cena tournament?
As Mike Johnson reported at the time, it was a one off for the tournament.
While RAW wasn't epic as HHH said it would be, I did like quite a bit on the show.
The last few weeks have been better, for sure. Hopefully they keep building up momentum going into Mania season. This year hasn’t been good from a booking perspective.
1. Gunther v. Solo : as far as I'm concerned, they can run this back anytime. REALLY enjoyed it, and those two smacked the snot out of each other. I enjoyed the dirty pool one-upping during the closing minutes with the low blows. Did you like it as much as I did?
I did. Those guys really laid it in. They have not done Solo any favors this year. I hope they book him better in 2026.
2. Did you or do you see this match at all as a soft launch for Gunther as a babyface? Crowd was mostly behind him, given the two options to root for. It seemed like a strange pairing at first, but Gunther would make a bad ass babyface that heels would not want any part of. I could see him working with Breakker down the line. Now that would be physical. Thoughts?
I think that they can go that way if they want to, for sure. I have wondered if they would start him down that road if (when) he gets the match against Cena. They could definitely tell the story where Gunther shows respect and turns into a bad ass babyface.
3. Uso v. Knight : Happy to see LA get the win. I would have figured Jey to go over, but Wade Barrett was laying it on pretty thick about Jey not being 100% after War Games, so that changed my mind as the match progressed. Did the finish surprise you?
It didn’t because it would have meant a rematch Gunther and I think that is something that they should build to, not just have happen due to a tournament.
4. When Rhea was talking to Charlotte early in the night, and she said "Charlotte, I respect you", did I actually hear you cringe and groan way up here in Canada? Lol.
No, but you probably heard me drop an F Bomb. If I never hear that phrase again on WWE TV it will be too soon!
