12/3 AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

AEW Dynamite is live from the Fishers Event Center in Fishers, IN. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Bryan Danielson and Tony Schiavone.

Tony Sciavone is in the ring to hold the microphone for Samoa Joe and Eddie Kingston to have words. Joe tells Tony to get out of his ring before he snatches the wig off his head. Joe says he wasn’t in a suit because it would be like wearing a tuxedo to a petting zoo. He then explains why Hook turned and Joe said he felt Hook needed to know what it would be like on the other side, how the food tastes at the 2nd place table, and no one is better than that was Eddie.

He then tells Eddie that next week, Eddie will bring everything he has to the table and Joe will still beat him down. Eddie will lose because Joe will choke him unconscious in the ring.

Eddie lays out how important Joe is and then says that Hook learned perseverance from him. He says the Joe he knew, he respected, but the Joe he sees now is that guy the old Joe used to call out. Eddie says if he doesn’t bring the Old Samoa Joe next week, Eddie will eat him alive. 

In the back, Hook, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata let Dark Order know if they can get past them tonight, they get a Trios Title Shot. 

Pac vs Kazuchika Okada - Continental Classic Tournament match

Don Callis joins commentary. 

They lock up and quickly go to waistlocks and arm bars. Okada backs Pac into the corner and when they break, Pac pie faces Okada. Thai leads to them trading blows and Eddie is able to slam into Okada in the corner and then comes off the top with a drop-kick. Okada dodges a lariat and rolls to the floor. Okada trips Pac and pulls him to the floor. Okada then whips Pac into the barricade. 

Okada keeps up the pressure on the floor with another slam and then rolls Pac into the ring. Okada attacks Pac in the corner. Okada hits a neckbreaker for two. Okada then gets a scoop slam and goes to the top. Pac rolls out of the way and Okada comes over for an ax handle blows to the back. Pac is able to drop Okada and starts stomping him down as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Pac gets a running boot to Okada’s head. Pac goes to the top and waits for Okada to get up. Pac leaps, and Okada dodges him and hits Pac with a drop-kick into the corner. Both men are down and struggle to get up. Okada throws blows when Pac gets up and then gets a sliding back elbow to Pac. Okada gets a DDT for two. Okada gets a scoop slam and goes to the top for an elbow drop.

Okada then flips all of us the bird and pulls Pac up. Pac backs them into the corner and hits a series of back elbows. Pac charges into the corner and they go back and forth until Pac gets a big boot to Okada’s head and then gets a cutter from the apron. Pac builds up a head of steam, but Okada nails him with a drop-kick, and a casadora for two. They trade kicks in the corner. Pac gets a German suplex out of the corner. Pac gets another German suplex into a bridge for two. 

Okada is able to surprise Pac with a tombstone piledriver and both men are down again. Okada goes to the top and Pac joins him. Pac gets a brainbuster from the top and then hits a running clothesline into a brutalizer. Okada reverses it into a pin and holds on for the win.

Winner and getting 3 points: Kazuchika Okada

In the back, Mark Briscoe starts talking about Daniel Garcia and their past matches. They are one and one, and Mark says that Danny is the real deal. He then says that Garcia is getting a Death Rider mindset and avoided it when he challenged Garcia./ But Mark doesn’t play games and got Tony Khan to assign a match for Winter is Coming.

Ricochet and GOA are in the back and he is getting far too many requests to come to Indy promoters since he won the National Championship. He says his first Indy show will be at Ring of Honor’s Final Battle and then next day, he will give someone a shot at Collision.

We then get the Conglomoration, and Roderick Strong says he is not in the Conglomeration and he will be facing Orange Cassidy on Saturday and Conglomeration rules are that there will be no chops. 

We are told that Darby Allin is not cleared to travel or compete after last week’s match. 

Kyle Fletcher vs Kevin Knight - Continental Champion Tournament match

Don Callis is once again at commentary.

They lock up and Kyle finally forces Knight into the ropes, Knight reverses it and they break clean. They lock up again and move to mat work where they go back and forth. They work to their feet and Kyle gets a waistlock slam. They lock up once again and Knight is able to trip Kyle and then walks across his back. They run the ropes and Knight gets a pair of arm drags and goes for a drop-kick, but Kyle bails from the ring to avoid it. 

Kyle slowly gets into the ring and gets a sledgehammer blow to Knight. Knight is able to clothesline Kyle to the floor but misses a dive as Kyle gets into the ring and knocks Knight off the apron. Kyle tries for a power bomb, but Knight escapes out the back and gets a lariat on the floor. Knight gets into the ring and dives onto Kyle as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Knight gets a rollup for two. Knight gets a drop-kick and they both struggle to get up. As they get to their feet, they trade blows and Knight gets a pair of clotheslines on Kyle in the corner. When Knight pulls Kyle to the center and gets a leaping lariat.  Knight sells his midsection before a clothesline in the corner and hits a hurricanrana followed by a DDT for two. 

Knight gets a leaping sunset flip from the apron for two. Kyle catches Knight and tosses him to the middle turnbuckle. Kyle gets a running boot and then tries for a brainbuster, but Knight escapes it and hits a leaping clothesline for two. Kyle runs into the rope to knight knight off the top. They fight in the corner and Kyle is tied in the tree of woe. Knight gets a series of stomps and then hits a coast-to-coast drop-kick. 

Knight goes to the top and hits the UFO splash for two. Kyle gets a Liger bomb for two. Knight gets a rollup for two. Kyle gets a big boot and then a kick in the corner followed by a brain buster for the pin and the win.

Winner and getting 3 points, Kyle Fletcher

After the match, Don grabs a mic and asks Kyle how he is feeling, and he’s honest and says he isn’t feeling great. Hechicero and Josh Alexander bring out the duffle bags filled with money from Full Gear. Don says he has a message for the Young Bucks.

Don says he can forgive lying, cheating, and even killing someone, but he cannot forgive signing with Kenny Omega. He then says he has the Young Bucks’ money and if they don’t like it, they can try to take it from him.

The Bucks show up and clear the ring. They grab the duffle bags and Okada attacks Matt from behind. He then attacks Nick. The rest of the Don Callis family join in until we hear Jurassic Express’s music. In the attack, Okada nails Luchasaurus with a low blow. Jack Perry then attacks Okada by biting his hand. Mark Davis shows up and gets rid of Perry and then goes back to attacking the Bucks. 

This brings out Kenny Omega who clears the ring. The Family takes off, bringing the money with them. 

We get a hype video from the Babes of Wrath about the women’s tag team title tournament.

Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir vs Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa - Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament Holiday Hard Core Death Match.

They all start brawling at the bell. Mina and Toni get stereo Thesz presses and follow with stereo DDTs. The fight then spills to the floor. Toni nails Shafir with a bottle and digs the broken bottle into Megan’s head. Mina has a big barbed wire candy cane and rolls Megan into the ring and uses it for a sling blade. Megan is busted open and Toni drops Mina onto Megan. Megan tries for a double DDT and doesn’t quite get all of it. Shafir pulls Toni to the floor and Megan tosses Mina onto her as we go to picture in picture,

When we return to full screen, the ring has been filled with plunder and Shafir is beating Mina with a frying pan. Meghan nails Toni’s back with a chair and Shafir uses the frying pan back and forth. Mina kicks the chair into Megan’s face. Toni hits Storm Zero from the apron through a chair on the floor. Marina locks in Mother’s Milk on Mina in the ring. Toni gives Mina a broken pool cue that Mina uses on Shafir.

Mina dives onto Shafir on the floor, and then rolls her into the ring. Toni then holds Shafir so that Mina can get a sling blade from the top onto chairs for two, broken up by Megan. Megan spears Mina through a table set up in the corner. Toni gets a Storm Zero on Megan onto Shafir on the floor. 

Santa Claus arrives and comes to the ring with a gift and gives in to Shafir. She tosses it. Santa takes off his beard and it’s Luther! This allows Toni to nail Shafir with a shoe for the pin and the win.

Winners and going to the title match - Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa

We then get a hype video for the Triangle of Madness vs Kris Statlander and Jamie Hayter.

Dark Order is on their way to the ring. Hangman Adam Page starts to walk by, and they ask him not to ruin this for them. But the second the match is over, the Opps are his.

Renee Paquette is with Mercedes Mone who snaps at Renee when Renee says she was unsuccessful in her match for the World Title. Mone then mocks Red Velvet as someone she has already beat and she will beat her at Ring of Honor Final Battle.

Then we get a hype video for the feud between FTR and the Bang Bang Gang.

FTR is in the back and Stokely says that the Bang Bang Gang wanting to be champions for people on the injured list is pathetic. Cash talks about how FTR has beat them in the past. Dax says they are both second stringers. 

Hook, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata vs The Dark Order (Evil Uno, John Silver, and Alex Reynolds)

All six men brawl on the floor as Dark Order is making their way to the ring. The Opps dominate them as they fight and Silver is rolled into the ring with Hook as the bell rings.

Silver gets a series of kicks until Hook gets a shoulder capture suplex. Alex dives from the ring into Hobbs, who catches him and tosses him aside. Uno is knocked off the top of the floor and the Opps hold the ring as we go to picture in picture.

Uno is tagged in and gets a flurry of offense. After Uno gets a double DDT on Hook and Shibata, Hobbs enters the ring. He and Uno throw hands and Hobbs gets a clothesline and then a power slam for two. Hobbs gets a spine buster on Uno for the pin and the win.

Winners: The Opps

The Opps Dojo members come to the ring to celebrate. 

Hangman Adam Page hits the ring with a chain around his neck and he beats down Hobbs. Shibata attacks from behind and they start the beat down on Page. Page ducks when Hobbs charges and Hobbs takes down Shibata. Page then nails Hobbs with a beer bottle. This brings out security, who swarm Page. Page clears the ring and hits a buckshot lariat on the last security guard.

In the back, Renee is with Don Callis, Okada and Kyle, and Okada says that Takeshita has let them down again. Takeshita shows up and they have words. Renee asks why Okada’s International title isn’t on the line and Don says he is not an idiot and doesn’t risk the title unless he has to.

In the back, Page cuts an angry promo about how Hook cost him the title, Joe will lose when they meet, and for Hobbs and Shibata, he is coming for them and he is not coming alone.

Claudio Castagnoli vs Jon Moxley - Continental Classic Tournament match

Marina Shafir comes out with Mox and Yuta and Garcia come to the ring with Claudio.

They grapple in the ring, neither one getting an advantage. They lock up with a greco Roman knuckle lock and Claudio forces Mox to the mat and gets a big double stomp on him. Claudio lays in chips in the corner.  Mox gets up a big boot as Claudio charges and then lays in a series of blows. Mox gets ten in the corner and then gauges the eye of Claudio. They go back to brawling as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, they are throwing hands back and forth and Mox is busted open. Claudio gets the giant swing on Mox and turns it into a sharpshooter. Claudio switches it to a crossface. Mox rolls back and gets a two count before reversing it to a bulldog choke. Claudio works to his feet and shoves Mox off of him. 

They throw hands again in the middle of the ring. Mox dodges a charge and Claudio goes to the floor. Mox dives onto him, They get back in the ring and Claudio gets a backslide for two. Mox gets a cutter, but Claudio pops up and hits a clothesline. Both men are down and they answer the ref’s count at 4, Claudio goes for a pile driver, but Mox escapes. Claudio tries again and Mox reverses to a pin for two. Mox gets another pin for two. Claudio gets an uppercut and Mox gets a lariat and again, both men are down. 

Mox is able to get a curb stomp for two. Mox grabs a rear naked choke and Claudio works to his feet, using his power to drop Mox to the floor. They fight on the floor where Claudio dominates.  Claudio rolls Mox into the ring, gets a lariat for two. He hits a power bomb on Mox for two. They go face to face and they throw hands again. Mox gets a paradigm shift but is slow to capitalize. Claudio gets a running uppercut for the pin and the win.

Winner and getting three points: Claudio Castagnoli.
