COMPLETE 11/22 AEW FULL GEAR 2025 REPORT: CAGE MATCH, MONE 14 BELTS?, RETURNS, TITLE MATCHES, AND MORE

By Cory Strode on 2025-11-22 19:20:00

It’s the AEW Full Gear Kickoff show at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The hype team is Renee Paquette, Jeff Jarrett, RJ City, and Lexi Nair. They explain how to see the PPV and then show a hype video for Hangman Adam Page and Samoa Joe’s title match. They are joined by Justin Wang from “Tales from the Internet” and they discuss Page and Joe’s match. This is what is going on over on YouTube to hype the show.  I did not realize that Collision was going on as they talked up the PPV.

On TNT for Collisions, our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

Max Caster and Anthony Bowens vs. Bang Bang Gang (Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson) vs. Big Bill and Bryan Keith vs. The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd)

Dalton Castle joins commentary.

Austin and Bowens start with hip drags and covers back and forth. They run the ropes and Austin trips Bowens and then nails him with jabs. They run the ropes again and Bowens face-plants Austin. Caster tags in, as does Juice, and he gets a Russian leg sweep and a senton on Caster. He covers Caster for two. Truth tags in as Juice hits the ropes and then drop-kicks Caster. Bill tags in and he fights with Truth in the corner. Truth knocks Bryan to the floor before Bill knocks him to the floor and we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Truth escapes a splash from Bill and crawls to his corner. Turbo tags in and he runs wild with body slams. Juice tags himself in and the Outrunners toss him from the ring. They then get the double biceps drop on Bryan. Caster and Bowens get into the ring and set up for the Scissor Me Timbers and Bryan breaks it up. Bowens gets back in the ring and they start to work together. Caster calls for scissoring, but Bill breaks it up.

Bill is knocked out of the ring and Juice sneaks in for the surprise rollup for the pin and the win.

Winners of the $200,000: The Bang Bang Gang

Next is the trailer for Full Gear.

Paul Wight joins commentary.

We get a promo in the back from Samoa Joe with a bunch of men in Opps Dojo Shirts, and he says he represents men who have been pushed aside and are now a movement behind him.

Boom & Doom ("Big Boom!" A.J. and Q. T. Marshall) (with Big Justice) vs. RPG Vice (Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta)

Don Callis also joins commentary. Also, they have been showing up on AEW shows for over a year and I still don’t get Big Justice and the Rizzler.

RPG Vice starts by throwing hands until QT and AJ whip RPG Vice into each other. Rock and Trent throw themselves around the ring to make AJ and QT look good.  As they st6art to brawl around the ring we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, QT has been the babyface in peril. When QT is knocked to the floor, Rizzler goes to help him. Rocky gets in his face, and Big Justice gets in his face, but Trent knocks Big Justice down. Paul Wight helps him up and in the ring, QT gets an enzuigiri and finally gets the tag to AJ, who cleans house. His run ends when he gets a full nelson slam on Trent for two, broken up by Rocky.

Trent gets a big boot, but AJ hits him with a spine buster and looks gassed. Don Callis gets on the apron and the ref makes him leave as Trent attacks AJ from behind. Trent gets a shotgun dropkick for two. Rocky and Trent get a strong zero for two, broken up by QT. Rocky gets sliced bread on QT and then forever clotheslines on AJ.

Big Justice gets to the ring and hits a Diamond Cutter on Rocky who was using part of Trent's cast. Trent grabs Rizzler on the floor, so Wight punches him. AJ and QT get an electric chair cutter for the pin and the win.

Winners: AJ and QT Marshall

In the back, Don Callis is OK with his team losing since they will be successful for the night. AND He will have three new members, Mark Briscoe and the Young Bucks. The Bucks are ambivalent, and Josh Alexander talks about getting rid of Kenny Omega. Don is told Kazuchika Okada is not there tonight, and he isn’t worried, but feels the Bucks haven’t been responsive enough to Okada. Don then gives the Bucks a gift as they go to get ready for the show.

Hook and Eddie Kingston vs. The Already In The Ring WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry and JD Drake)

Hook’s music is still terrible, the Workhorsemen get beat in less than two minutes and Hook gets to put on a Redrum.

Winners: Hook and Eddie Kingston

We then get a hype video for Kris Statlander and Mercedes Mone’s title match.

El Sky Team (Místico, Máscara Dorada, and Neón) (CMLL Trios Champions) vs. The Don Callis Family (Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, and Hechicero)

The bell finally rings as Mistico is taken backstage. In the ring, Neon and Dorado toss Takeshita and Hechicero to the floor for a dive. Okada’s car pulls up in the back in his gear and slowly heads to the ring. In the ring, everyone is brawling as we go to the PPV.

Full Gear Begins!

As Okada heads to the ring, Dorado gets a quick rollup on Takeshita for two. As Okada gets in the ring, Hechicero tries to play peacemaker, but Okada flips on Takeshita. Neon and Dorado attack as this goes on and they knock everyone down.

He runs wild on the two of them, and they are knocked to the floor. Hechicero gets into the ring and Mistico gets a tejaris to force Hechicero to the ring and then dive onto Hechicero. He returns to the ring and starts to work on Takeshita, but Okada breaks it up and Okada lays in blows on Takeshita.

Neon and Okadatrade quick attacks until Okada is rolled from the ring and then Takeshita comes in and gets a slam on Neon. Okada and Takeshita keep interfering in each other’s moves on Neon. Dorado gets into the ring and dodges a Rainmaker from Okada which hits Takeshita instead.

Time for lots of dives from Sky Team. Hechicero is left in the ring and Mistico takes him down for two. Mistico gets a rollup crucifix pin for two. Hechicero gets a big knee strike and then picks up Mistico who turns it into a poisonrana into an arm bar and Hechicero has to tap out.
