The late, great Eddy Guerrero will be honored by the city of El Paso next week
El Paso City Representative Deanna M. Rocha announced the following on her Instagram account:
We’re just days away from celebrating Eddie Guerrero Day! ????
Join us Tuesday, November 18 at 9 AM at City Hall (300 N. Campbell St.) as we honor Eddie’s life, legacy, and impact with an official proclamation. ????
Wear your wrestling persona or luchador mask and show your support for El Paso’s own legend — Viva La Raza! ????????✨

Guerrero, a former WWE Champion and a star internationally across the world in AAA, New Japan Pro Wrestling, ECW and WCW, passed away at the of 38 in November 2005.
There has a been a push locally to name a park after Guerrero as well as build a statue in his honor.
