Spotlight Match: BRG vs Handyman Jake Gray
The crowd is very much in “anyone but BRG” mode. Jake is definitely being fueled by the crowd. BRG just being an absolute s***, amused by the crowd and our hatred of him. Jake goes for a trust fall but BRG rolls away and hits an Unprettier for the three. Booooooooo! Brett says tonight was a statement…but it’s not the only statement he’s gonna make tonight… oh?
Match 1: DJ Powers vs Dezmond Cole
Cole isn’t dancing. He’s not out for fun. He’s out for blood and charges right in. DJ runs for cover to the crowd but Cole flies out after him. DJ still has a few tricks in his bag. He gets some big hits in on the floor but ends up chopping the post. Boofa tries a swanton but DJ gets knees up. Powers is DESPERATE for the three but can’t get it. He slams Boofa on the floor and tries for the count out. Nope. Boofa with a slow rally, huge falcon arrow/suplex combo! Cole with a Finlay roll and the rolling legdrop for a close two! DJ hits his neckbreaker…still not enough! DJ tries to hit the ropes but slips! Cole with a superkick! Swanton connects! DJ barely gets a foot in the ropes! DJ tries to come back but Cole drops him again and another swanton gets the job done for the three! We give DJ a lot of crap but he’s very good.
Match 2: Shazza McKenzie vs Gabby Forza
Gabby talks about her she fought her heart out against Liviyah last week. She applauds Liv’s heart and invites her back for a round 2. The Heart Break-core immediately blindsides Gabby and starts to beat on our homie…until Forza catches her right into an Oklahoma stampede. Forza with a cartwheel before ramming back into Shazza. Shazza wants timeout but….nah. A frustrated McKenzie tries to stomps Gabby out and grind her down with stiff kicks to the spine. A basement leg lariat almost gets the three! Forza starting to come back and pounds Shazza with double axe handles and a powerslam. A Vader bomb can’t get it done! Shazza dodges the spear and goes for the kill! Gabby with a roll up and Shazza is stuck for the three! McKenzie is Furious and cracks Gabby with a stunner before leaving.
Match 3: Ricky Smokes vs Big Bacon Brad Hollister (w/ TJ Crawford)
Bacon starts great against Smokes, just leveling the kid with big slams, suplexes and some heavy chops. Smokes back into it and trying to slow down the former Open champ. But…he gets too into preening. Bacon fires up and starts to steamroll. Jackhammer is coming…Ricky with a headkick and slingshot spear for two! Bacon dodges a meteora, Ricky tries the slingshot again…Bacon catches him into a powerslam for the three!
TJ on the mic “this is the Bacon I’ve missed”! Crawford is full of energy to beat Ryan Clancy at Novembercanrana. But he wants to help Brad take the tag team gold as well! Brad says it would be an honor to tag with TJ…but he’s picking Love Doug. Brad says he doesn’t want to give TJ an excuse if he loses to Clancy. Brad with a great fire up promo that sets the stage for Crawford to maybe actually take that championship this time. But if he doesn’t? Big Business might be holding gold without him…again.
Match 4: Julius Draeger vs Eye Black Jack
EBJ is fresh off his main event JGP tournament Win over Steven Stetson last week and that fact goes right under Draeger’s skin. He attacks Jack so hard that I think he bloodied his own mouth! Draeger is so raged up, he turns into a Jack attack, the spear connects and the uranage Keeps Draeger down for the three! EBJ celebrates as Dustin Waller slides in and blindsides him with the JGP trophy. Waller is here to introduce himself to Jack and remind him that Miracle Generation built Wrestling Open. Jack doesn’t run this. And next week, Dustin will prove it.
Match 5: Bobby Orlando(c) vs Christian Darling (for the Wrestling Open Championship)
Darling finally gets what he wants. Rich Palladino announces him for the match. But he’s not OVER this beef and he’s too busy mad dogging Rich that Bobby immediately shotguns him and goes on the attack. Christian keeps trying to dedicate attacks to Rich…and keeps failing. Bobby keeps working Darling but Christian keeps finding ways back on top. A sweep on the buckles and Bobby cracks back first and crashes to the mat. The champ is far from done as they brawl in the center. Bobby with a sitout bomb! He tries the sick trick cutter but Darling slams him out of the air! Bobby tries again with a slingshot and connects! The challenger kicks out! Bobby to the top for the dab elbow…Darling hits the ropes and Orlando gets crotched. Darling with a stif powerbomb! Darling hits the TKO…and pulls the pin. He wants to put the cherry on it…he calls out Rich Palladino again as Bobby Orlando slips the second TKO and rolls Darling up for the three!
Darling is FURIOUS. It’s apparently Rich’s fault that Darling couldn’t keep his eye on the prize. He goes to attack Rich again…and Big Boofa Dezmond Cole runs interference! Next week, Cole is putting the fear of god into his dweeb a**!
Main Event: Tyree Taylor vs Bear Bronson
Round 2 begins as an enthusiastic crowd chants for MEAT. They charge into heavy fire and unload the clip! They both get a good slam in before the fight hits the floor! Tyree tries to throw Bear back in but Bronson flies right back out at him. Tyree with a big slam and legdrop on the apron! The crowd loud and fired up for this war! Taylor throwing hands to the kidneys! Bear baits Tyree into a dropdown…and drops a senton right into Taylor’s back! Bear with a huge hip attack into the ropes! Taylor weathering a huge storm right now….but eventually the right chop hits the wrong way and Tyree gets mad and starts fighting out of the corner! Taylor with a body attack and boot wash but Bronson is far from done. They both go for a discus clotheslines and wipe themselves out! We might be in referee’s discretion territory as the both grab a chair. Ref Bill won’t let them use the chairs…the crowd encourages them to sit down and talk it out…so they sit down and slug it out! Tyree gets the better of the exchange and boots Bear backwards! Bear popups with the chokebomb. Tyree kicks out! Bronson can’t believe it!!! Bear winds up another huge lariat. Tyree reverses it into a black hole slam! Taylor’s lariat connects! Bear kicks out!!! This rules. Back and forth, heavy shots and pin attempts! Tyree hits the lariat again and brings back the Brooklyn Zoo bomb to get the win!!! Fantastic match!
Tyree pulls Bear up. They have nothing but respect for each other and the crowd loves them both. We’re chanting for a Round 3 and it looks like they are about to agree to it…and then BRG’s music hits. He runs down Bear and Tyree and just before he is murdered by some angry meat…he comes Oxx Adams who double clotheslines Bear and Tyree. Oxx destroys them both and leaves them laying. Booooooo to this….but hot damn that was a crazy good Main event.
