11/6 TNA IMPACT ON AXS REPORT: OPEN FIGHT NIGHT RETURNS

By Mike Johnson on 2025-11-06 23:07:00

Welcome to this week's PWInsider.com report for TNA Impact on AXS TV, an Open Fight Night themed edition of the series.

The show begins with a pre-recorded backstage message from Santino Marella, who reflects on the aftermath of Bound For Glory. He announced that next week’s show will air live from Orlando, Florida.  Tonight is open Open Fight Night and Santino invites everyone to have some fun.

The System vs. Sinner & Saint vs. The Rascalz vs. The Great Hands

The action starts hot with all four teams colliding. The Rascalz hit a running basement dropkick to Judas Icarus’s face for a near fall. Sinner & Saint drop Jason Hotch facefirst off the ropes before landing a double dropkick.  Hotch tags in Skyler, who traps Brian Myers on the top turnbuckle while standing on his groin. Myers counters with a sunset flip pin attempt for two. As the referee’s back is turned, Tasha Steelz attacks Myers at ringside.  Hotch locks in a headlock, but Myers breaks free with an enzuigiri and tags in Eddie Edwards. Edwards goes on a tear with a flapjack on Hotch and a Frankensteiner on Skyler. Travis Williams delivers a German Suplex on Trey Miguel, and Skyler connects with a slingshot spear on Judas Icarus.  The System takes control as Brian Myers hits the Roster Cut, and Eddie Edwards follows with the Boston Knee Party to secure the victory.

Your winners, The System!

Fun match with everyone working hard.  Great Hands have a ton of upside.  Everyone worked hard.  Edwards and Myers are such a great veteran tandem.

Jody Threat announces that Santino Marella has allowed her to choose her opponent for Open Fight Night. She challenges Dani Luna.

The Personal Concierge says they’re searching for Mr. Elegance.   The Concierge invites fans who think they qualify to send a video submission to EleganceBrand@TNAWrestling.com.  Good luck to all who enter.

Dani Luna vs. Jody Threat

Threat overpowers Luna, taking her down with tackles and strikes before hitting a suicide dive to the floor. Attempting a swanton from the apron, Threat crashes when Luna evades.   Threat regains control with a suplex and a crossbody from the top, but Luna counters with a German Suplex for two. Threat locks in a rear naked choke, but Luna escapes to the ropes. After trading forearms, Luna hits a German Suplex off the ropes followed by Luna Landing for the win.

Your winner, Dani Luna!

Fun while it lasted.

The TNA Injury Report: Mustafa Ali is expected to be cleared in the coming days.  Jake Something is now cleared for action.  Mike Santana suffered lacerations at Bound For Glory but is now cleared.

Cedric Alexander is backstage and states that fans have been waiting for one match, himself vs. Mike Santana. He promises to prove why he's the best.

The Colons confront the Hardys, claiming to be the greatest brother tag team in TNA. Matt Hardy fires back, saying they will have an El Paso Street Fight.

The Hardys vs. The Colons: El Paso Street Fight

The Hardys kick things off with Poetry in Motion on Eddie Colon and take the fight around ringside. They whip the Colons into each other before both suffer simultaneous low blows. The Colons doubleteam Matt for a near fall.  They set up a table, but Jeff knocks Eddie off the top rope. Orlando goes for a Twist of Fate, but Matt counters with a low blow of his own and delivers his signature Twist of Fate. Jeff climbs to the top and nails a Swanton Bomb through the table for the victory.

Your winners, The Hardys!

They air a May 2012 bout between Bobby Roode vs. AJ Styles.

They show highlights from Bound for Glory.

They catch up us to speed on everything that went down on WWE NXT.

TNA Knockouts Champion Kelani Jordan discusses her evolution, saying the main difference between her North American and Knockouts title reigns is time. She’s not feeling pressure and isn’t handing out title shots lightly.  She praises Ash by Elegance, crediting her for believing in her early on. Kelani names Lei Ying Lee and Indi Hartwell among her recent opponents and acknowledges Tessa Blanchard, Tasha Steelz, Xia Brookside, and others.   She says she won’t be labeled or limited by others’ expectations, saying other "want to see" her do well, but not better than them.  She says no one does it like "Lani" and she will continue to succeed.  Good character building.

The Elegance Brand look for Mr. Elegance in Edmonton. Ash insults the city, calling it a dump, and insists they leave since “there are no men in Edmonton.”  This is going to end up being Tommy Dreamer, isn't it?

TNA Champ Mike Santana vs. Cedric Alexander

A fast-paced, technical encounter sees both men exchange holds and reversals early on. Cedric hits a springboard moonsault, while Santana answers with a pump kick on the apron.  Cedric scores a near fall with a Michinoku Driver, then locks in a chinlock. Santana powers out and fires back with a clothesline and an enziguiri.  Cedric catches Santana with a German Suplex and a Fisherman Buster for two. He attempts the Lumbar Check, but Santana counters. After battling on the top rope, Cedric attempts a Sunset Flip Powerbomb, but Santana escapes and hit the Rolling Buck 50 for a near fall.  They exchange hard chops and quick pin attempts until Santana lands Spin The Block and scored the pin.

Your winner, TNA Champion Mike Santana!

This was really good.  Hope they get a chance to rematch down the line.

That's it this week.  TNA returns to normal programming next week with a live Impact!
