WWE cut Ridge Holland from his expiring contract early after Holland took to Twitter to complain about his currentl situation as he recovers from his foot injury and is unable to perform.
Holland, real name Luke Menzies, wrote on Twitter this past Tuesday:
"I never thought I'd not be able to pay my mortgage.
I feel like I've just been hung out to dry after getting injured working for another company on behalf of WWE.
Add to that my contract not being renewed knowing that I wouldn't be able to wrestle for 7 months. This is brutal.
Yes they are taking care of the surgery and physical therapy but let's be honest, that's the bare minimum after what we sacrifice for the company.
Plus the possibility of having to get my neck fused too.
Talk about getting totally fucked."
Holland, who had previously announced his WWE deal was not going to be renewed, was swiftly let go by WWE after his post, as the company felt the comments were in breach of his WWE deal.
Holland was injured several months ago performing on a TNA TV taping against Moose, a booking he made as part of his WWE deal.
Fightful.com initially reported Holland's release last night. PWInsider.com independently confirmed he was cut this afternoon.
