'THE SMASHING MACHINE' RECEIVES DIGITAL RELEASE, BAUTISTA'S 'TRAPHOUSE' RELEASED NEXT WEEK AND MORE

The Smashing Machine starring Dwayne Johnson as Mark Kerr was officially released for digital purchase and VOD rental today.  There's no word yet on a physical media release.   The plot - "In the late 1990s, up-and-coming mixed martial artist Mark Kerr aspires to become the greatest fighter in the world. However, he must also battle his opiod dependence and a volatile relationship with his girlfriend Dawn."  The film will eventually stream for HBO Max subscribers as well.

The Dave Bautista and Samuel L. Jackson film Afterburn will receive a DVD and Blu-Ray release on 1/6/26.  The plot of the film, which received a small theatrical release this year - "After a massive solar flare destroys the Earth's eastern hemisphere, an emboldened treasure hunter for hire adventures to Europe to uncover the coveted Mona Lisa, only to learn the world needs a hero more than it needs a painting."

The next Bautista film Traphouse will be released on 11/14 in theaters.  The plot - "A game of cat and mouse ensues when an undercover DEA agent and his partner learn that their own teenage children are using top-secret tactics and intelligence to steal from a dangerous cartel."
