AEW Collision was recorded after Dynamite on Wednesday in Edinburg, TX at the Bert Ogden Arena. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.
The theme for tonight’s show is Fright Night, and we start off with a hype video for tonight’s matches.
Konosuke Takeshita and Kazuchika Okada vs. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens
Don Callis joins commentary.
None of the partners care much for each other.
Bowens and Takeshita start the match by locking up and moving to arm bars. Bowens gets a snap mare and poses. Takeshita and Bowens trade chops, and Takeshita gets a leaping strike, then they go back to chops. Takeshita gets a rake to the eyes. Bowens gets an over-the-top facebuster. Max tags in and gets a series of strikes until Okada hits Max’s back. Takeshita almost runs into Okada, and then Max knocks them into each other. Bowens then joins Max to clothesline Takeshita to the floor.
Max dives into them as Bowens goes to the top to do the same. This leads to Takeshita and Okada hitting them with DDTs before going face to face. Takeshita rolls Max into the ring, and he and Okada work him over with quick tags. When Okada goes for flipping the bird, he instead flips it at Takeshita. They do work together to double-team Max, but Okada pulls Max out of the way when Takeshita charges into the corner. Okada gets a two-count on Max, and then he and Takeshita go face to face.
Bowens gets the tag and runs wild. Okada gets a flapjack on Bowens as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Bowens has been the babyface in peril. Bowens starts firing shots at Okada, who then tags in Takeshita. Max gets a blind tag and hits a quick series of moves on Takeshita. Max gets a falcon arrow for two. Max gets the crowd to chant for him and tags in Bowens, who wasn’t paying attention. They try to double-team Takeshita, who fights out, but Bowens hits a big knee for two, broken up by Okada.
Bowens takes down Okada and goes to the top, but Okada meets him there. Takeshita then grabs Okada to suplex them both. Takeshita leaves the ring to work over Max. Okada and Bowens throw hands; Bowens holds onto the rope to avoid the dropkick. Bowens delivers a spinning faceplant for two. Bowens goes for the Mollywomp and runs into a Blue Thunder Bomb from Takeshita. Okada and Takeshita have issues, allowing Bowens to get a famouser on Takeshita.
Okada hits a dropkick, and when he goes for the Rainmaker, Max gets a blind tag. Bowens gets a slam on Okada, and Max is on top, but Bowens covers Okada. Max and Bowens argue and then throw hands. Bowens takes out Max, and Takeshita gets a blind tag on Okada. Okada hits the Rainmaker on Bowens, but Takeshita shoves him out of the way and takes out Max with Burning Fire for the pin and the win.

Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale cut a promo on Mercedes Moné and Athena for their tag team match on Dynamite. This is followed by a hype video for Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa as a team.

Mercedes Moné (CMLL Women's Champion) vs. Olympia
They have a mini pose-off and then lock up. They break, and Moné slaps Olympia. Moné gets a sunset flip, and they trade two counts. Moné gets a hair-pull takedown, and they run the ropes. Olympia runs right through Moné and then does a handstand into a knee strike in the corner. Olympia runs into a boot from Moné in the corner, but she then gorilla presses Moné with one arm before a slam.
Olympia and Moné fight in the corner, and Moné gets a series of knee strikes. She hits a running double knee to knock Olympia to the floor before diving. This takes us to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Olympia gets a spinning slam for two. She then hits a series of forearms followed by a shotgun dropkick and a facewash in the ropes. Olympia goes for a stalling vertical suplex, but Moné is able to get a small package for two. Moné tries for the Moné Maker, but Olympia powers out and gets a pin, then picks up Moné for a powerbomb for two.
Moné gets a jawbreaker and hits a leaping slingshot DDT off the ropes for two. Olympia blocks a spinning DDT, but Moné attacks Olympia’s arm and then tries for the crossface, but Olympia powers out. Olympia gets three squats with Moné on her back and then slams her for two. Moné rolls to the floor, and Olympia joins her there. Moné throws Olympia into Kris, and she and Moné have a faceoff. As Moné backs up, Olympia pulls her into the ring. Moné is able to get a spinning takedown into the crossface, and Olympia has to tap out.

Kris goes to the ring to confront her, but Moné bails and backs up the ramp.
Backstage, Renee Paquette is with the Young Bucks, and Don Callis joins them and says he has got them a Million Dollar Match where they team with Josh Alexander, Jurassic Express, and Kenny Omega at Full Gear.
Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize vs. Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir (w/ Penelope Ford)
Jon Moxley joins commentary.
Newell and Alize attack Bayne and double-team her quickly. Shafir gets in the ring, and they double-team her as well. Shafir goes back to the corner, and Bayne is able to suplex both of them at the same time. Shafir tags in, and they work over Newell and Alize. Bayne hits a powerslam on Newell for the pin and the win.
Winners: Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir
We then get a hype video for the Women's Blood and Guts match.
The Triangle of Madness — Mercedes Moné, Marina Shafir, and Megan Bayne — will take on Toni Storm, Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter, Harley Cameron, Queen Aminata, and Kris Statlander.
Mörtos, Sammy Guevara, and Dralístico vs. Komander, Mark Briscoe, and Roderick Strong
Roddy and Sammy start the match and trade arm bars. Komander tags in and lays in chops. They run the ropes, and Sammy gets a dropkick. Sammy gets a snap suplex and tags in Dralístico, who works over Komander in the corners. Komander flips out of the way, and they run the ropes. They trade arm drags and quick covers. Briscoe and Mörtos tag in and throw hands as Sammy throws in some commentary.
Mörtos gets a big back body drop, and after his second, Briscoe lands on his feet and goes after Mörtos with Redneck Kung Fu. Komander tags in and gets a slingshot takedown. Komander throws Sammy to the floor, and this sets off the tag team brawl as everyone fights in and out of the ring as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Komander has been the babyface in peril. Komander gets a flipping faceplant on Dralístico and tags in Roddy, who cleans house. He gets a backbreaker and a powerslam on Sammy for two. Mörtos gets in the ring, and this starts Roddy being worked over with quick tags.
Roddy fights his way free to tag in Briscoe, who runs wild. Briscoe gets a corkscrew dive from the top to the floor on Sammy and Mörtos. Dralístico is rolled into the ring, and when Briscoe goes for a Jay Driller, it’s time for everyone to hit big moves on the last person in the ring. After everyone has their turn, Mark gets the Jay Driller on Dralístico for the pin and the win.
Winners: Komander, Mark Briscoe, and Roderick Strong
We get a video from Hook and Eddie Kingston from after Dynamite, where Hook says, “If you’re caught, you’re caught.” Eddie says they will catch up with Joe another day.
It’s then time for another MxM TV Casting Call. Mason Madden and Mansoor have dressed up as Johnny TV and Taya Valkyrie.
The Bang Bang Gang (Austin Gunn, Ace Austin, and Juice Robinson) vs. Mason Madden, Mansoor, and Johnny TV
Ace and TV start the match, and everyone is brawling before they lock up. In the ring, Gunn takes down Mansoor with blows, and then Gunn helps Ace dive. Ace grabs a quick two-count on TV and follows with a dropkick. Ace then gets a suplex for one. TV pokes Ace’s eyes and tags in Mansoor. Ace escapes them, and Juice takes down Mansoor and TV. Juice gets a DDT on TV. Mansoor gets six or seven shots in the corner, allowing Juice to slam him.
Madden breaks up the pin, and he then gets suplexed by Austin and Ace. Mansoor gets into the ring to take a famouser and The Fold, followed by a pin by Juice for the win.

We get a hype video showing highlights from the first match between Bandido and Máscara Dorada.
Bandido (Ring of Honor World Champion) vs. Máscara Dorada
We start with the Code of Honor.
They start with waistlocks and arm bars. Dorada is already working over the taped shoulder of Bandido. Dorada tries for an octopus hold but can’t lock it on. He instead gets a drop toe hold into a surfboard. Bandido gets his arm free to break the hold and puts a surfboard on Dorada. Dorada does the same, and Bandido reapplies it.
Dorada gets a pair of arm drags, and they run the ropes, ending in backflips and poses. Bandido dives to the floor, but Dorada dodges, slamming Bandido into the floor as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, they face off in the middle of the ring. They trade chops, and then Bandido gets a tornado from the top into Dorada and then gorilla presses him with one hand and slams him. They go back and forth on the floor until Bandido flips Dorada face-first into the apron. Bandido then dives onto Dorada. Bandido goes to the top, and Dorada is on the floor and leaps as Dorada avoids it. Bandido flips Dorada into the corner and then goes to the top again for a frog splash for two.
They fight on the top ropes, and Dorada gets a black hole slam from the top and then a DDT for two. Bandido rolls to the apron, and they fight in the ropes. The fight moves to the apron, and they keep fighting. Bandido tosses Dorada into the air and hits a cutter to the floor as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Bandido misses a dropkick and then a splash in the corner. Dorada gets a flying crossbody off the top rope. They run the ropes, and Dorada gets a hurricanrana and then a tornado onto Bandido on the floor. Dorada then hits a moonsault onto Bandido on the floor. Bandido returns to the ring, and Dorada gets a crucifix bomb from the top for two.
Dorada gets a big slap. Bandido gets a pop-up knee strike into a running knee for two. Bandido tries for a GTS, but Dorada blocks it. They run the ropes and hit knees. Bandido tries a spinning DDT, but Dorada stops him and gets a stalling vertical suplex. Bandido then gets a pop-up powerbomb. They dropkick each other at the same time.
Both men take time to recover. Dorada gets a tornado arm drag from the top for two. Dorada then tries a crucifix pin for two. Dorada gets a leg-based small package for two. Dorada dumps Bandido to the mat and goes to the top. Dorada gets a moonsault, but Bandido gets the knees up and covers for two. Bandido tries for the 21 Plex but goes over the top and lands on the apron.
They fight on the top, and Dorada tries for a leap, but Bandido hits a hurricanrana of his own from the top for two. Bandido hits the 21 Plex for the pin and the win.
