What steps do you believe AEW needs to take in order to turn the company completely around?
Any changes that are made to the AEW product will have to be done because Tony Khan feels they are necessary. Unless that happens it’s an exercise in futility to propose changes. To me the obvious one would be fix the booking. They have a lot of talented wrestlers. That is not the issue.
Do you guys ever go back and watch old ECW footage?
Speaking for myself, no not really. To be fair, I don’t go back and rewatch much of anything. I am a move forward kind of person.
I recently rewatched Brian Pillman’s ECW debut. While it was really a cool moment when the lights came on and Pillman was revealed, to me his promo went a little long and rambling. Granted he was playing the psycho character, but anyway, were either of you there that night? And what are/were your thoughts on his debut?
I was there and in the moment, it was great. Remember, it was all live to us. We didn’t have three decades of reflection when we watched it.
I keep reading about how WWE wants to position Bron Breakker as the next face of the company. My question is: Do you think the current audience will accept him in that role? I think Breakker is very talented but his character is so one-dimensional that I just can't connect to him.
I do think that the potential is there, for sure, to make him the next face of the company. A lot of people already connect with him, for sure.
