Spotlight Match: Grayson Pierce vs 50 Cal
We are happy to see 50 Cal back at it and that means we are very happy to boo anyone on the opposite side of him. Thankfully, Pierce is playing the heel and trying to beat on Cal and mock his physique. 50 gets his shirt off and we’re happy to get the pose. Pierce posts him and hits a good moonsault but Cal stuns him with a superkick and gets the three on a snap rebound German!
Match 1: COSTUME BATTLE ROYAL
We kick the show proper off with a Battle Royal featuring a bunch of wrestlers & BIOPro kids. I see Lauren St. James, Jay Tunis, Bobby Casale, Airica Demia, Johnny Rivera & others. Steven Stetson is out here and offers a spot in the Stetson ranch tonight and 25k for the winner to join them in the fight against Big Business (since Brian Morris was injured last night). Bobby Casale wins the rumble after Brian Morris distracts the unlikely BIOPro student (that the crowd has dubbed “Barnacle Boy”) who made it into the final two and get tossed by the big man.
Match: Julius Draeger vs Dan Barry
Dan Barry holds the longest wrist lock. I could watch Draeger fail to escape for 30 min. Draeger gets the the ropes and slams Dan to the apron to finally get an advantage. He takes a lot of the embarrassment he suffered out on Barry. He targets the arm and wrist and tries to bully Dan Barry in what Julius considers HIS home (this is the home of the BIOPro school). Dan with a reversal into a slam, he’s making his comeback and lands the kneesault for two. Draeger tries a pedrigree, Dan escapes, verbally fakes out Draeger with a “superkick” that opens up a short ddt for the win! Woo!
Match 3: Oxx Adams vs Rickey Shane Page
This could be a blast. It’s rare that RSP looks dwarfed. RSP is game for this fight but Oxx is barely moving. Rickey is throwing his whole self into this and Adams just sends him to the floor with pure power. Oxx finally misses a splash and Page has a chance to start coming back…but a throat thrust cuts that right off. Page with a gasp of life and makes it to the top but a Oxx shoves Ref Bill into the corner and drops Page. Adams with a big chokeslam and Rickey Shane Page’s night is mercifully over.
Page grabs the mic and says he hates Oxx and BRG and he hates them together. He tells Oxx to bring BRG and a friend….because he’s being some friends to have a trios match at Novembercanrana! Who does Rickey have in mind???
Match 4: Rain Conway vs Shockwave the Robot
Rain hates Halloween and costumes and robots and dancing. So…this is great for him. “Wait, it’s a real robot?!?!” SURE. Rain tries a forearm from behind but Shockwave doesn’t feel that. That’s the whole gimmick. Rain tries to wrestle and Shockwave is like six million pounds of pure pressure. This is less a squash and more an exercise of a dog running face first into a brick wall over and over and thinking it’s getting somewhere. Rain and Ref Scott get caught in a robot wave and prolonged electric shock. This is hilarious. Rain is killing it at being killed. Shockwave gets the win with a skittering leg drop. Awesome. I’ve missed something this gloriously stupid.
We have a BUNCH of plunder and cement blocks and doors and chairs and other f***ery out here now. Heeeeeeere we go!
Match 5: PCO vs Krule
This is two monsters. There’s a lot of weaponry. Krule makes the first move and sends the French Frankenstein into the corner! A big cactus clothesline into some upturned chairs! PCO with a suicide dive?!? PCO is swining those cinder blocks around now. Krule is staggering. The Atrocity gets his own blocks, smashing into PCO’s head. This is a car crash in slow motion. Krule and PCO using doors and chairs. PCO sets up some chairs but Krule backdrops him off the corner into the steel! Krule sets up some doors…PCO with a sudden surge and spears Krule through the wood! He pulls Krule up for the second one…Krule spears him! Krule sets up cinder blocks…PCO chokeslams him into them! PCO goes to the top but Krule throws him off into the blocks! Krule hits the Scorched Earth and PCO is down for the three! The fight continues at ringside as Krule and PCO start bashing each other over the head with broken door parts until they are splintered trash. Kinda bonkers to see this in 2025.
(INTERMISSION)
Rich Palladino is out here with a big announcement. The 6-man tag of The Residency vs Savage Gnomes & SLADE? It’s the main event! It’s now a CASKET MATCH. Whaaaaaat???
Match 6: HandyMan Jake Gray vs CPA
Jake grabs a headlock and tries to channel his inner Dan Barry. CPA finding ways up and the Handyman keeps knocking him down. Jake takes a page from CPA’s book and rips open his jumpsuit…there’s a ghost buster jumpsuit under it! Gray unloading lariats and dropkicks! CPA dodged the wrench lariat…it’s 1099 time! CPA with a short cutter for two! ITS TIME TO CRUNCH SOME NUMBERS! Jake wriggles free, wrenching lariat! Kick out! Jake to the top but CPA is up! He tips a shirt off! Jake rips his top off he has a COA button up underneath! CPA comes running but gets knocked back to earth and Jake hits a trust fall for the win! CPA respects the win and pins his tie to Jake’s chest. Awesome.
Match 7: Stetson Ranch (Steven Stetson & Bobby Casale w/ Brian Morris) vs Eye Black Jack & Bobby Orlando
Bobby Casale seems right at home with these Ranch scrubs. Morris and Stetson like this kid, a he starts to put a long hurt on the Open champion. Stetson finally winds up in the fight against the man that beat him in the main event last night at Wrestling Open 200! Jack picks right up where he left off and slams Stetson down for a close two. Casale runs in with a head kick and makes the save. He is ABSOLUTELY an asset to the ranch here. Brian Morris trying to be referee but BARNACLE BOY IS BACK AND HE RUNS WONDER BOY OFF! Jack spears Stetson! Uranage to Casale! Bobby drops the dab elbow for the three!
Barnacle Boy is celebrating in the ring with the winners! Jack makes a point to tell Bobby that when he’s done with Christian Darling…Jack is NEXT.
Main Event: The Residency (RJ Rude, Rex Lawless & Nick Robles) vs SLADE and the Savage Gnomes (Bear Bronson & Gabby Forza) (Casket Match)
The residency is out here dressed like KISS. Bear and Gabby are Jason Vorhees and Chucky respectively. SLADE? He’s KRULE. Excellent. Gabby starts chasing RJ around the room with a knife. SLADE stabs Nick to death. Rex gets beaten by Bear. The Residency getting slammed all on top of each other. This is a delightful start. Gabby slams her husband on them all. F*** it why not. The Residency battles back and gets a chance to torture the crowd with more singing. RJ and Nick are tossed and it’s down to Rex and Bear doing meat things. All the while, that casket is just over by the entrance and untouched so far. There’s even a shovel. Big moves all around, Rex and Bear comparing sitout chokebomb techniques on their smaller opponents. Double chokeslam wipes out the big men? How did physics allow that?!? Nick in there with Gabby and Robles opts to choke
Slam himself??? Rex cuts her in half with a spear! The residency goes for the box! They try to shove Gabby in there…Forza fighting back…she overpowers them! AA to Rex! SLADE and Bear back in it. RJ is alone and begging for mercy! Shield powerbomb! RJ is deposited into the casket and they close the lid. SAVAGE GNOMES AND SLADE WIN!!!!
Last night was epic, tonight was a lot of silly fun. I’ve had a blast this week. Gabby sits on the casket and Bear lets RJ scream for mercy.
Bear on the mic. They have unfinished business. Against Krule and Shotzi Blackheart, they stole the show at Americanrana. So let’s do it again at Novembercanrana! No DQ! They promise to write this next chapter of the rivalry in BLOOD. Happy Halloween!
