Wrestling Open MA “200”

The 200th episode of Wrestling Open MA returns to the World Famous White Eagle after 10 months away! The room is filling up in our new configuration! We have 2 spotlight matches tonight to kick off the festivities!
Spotlight Match 1: Jose Zamora vs Aaron Rourke
I won’t lie. I’ve missed this place. Zamora trying to embarrass the Dimepiece on his stream. Rourke ain’t having that and puts Zamora away with a split legged moonsault after five minutes!
Spotlight Match 2: Handyman Jake Gray vs Dan Barry
I’m stoked for this. Dan going through his thing where outwrestles this opponent definitively. Jake starting to fight back and catch Dan at his own game and that annoys the vet. Jake getting even more rolling, almost getting the three on a sliced bread! Dan back up, drops the kid and sets up a tombstone…Jake with the reversal rollup and gets the three! A surprised Dan Barry shakes Jake’s hand, teases a blindside but laughs it off.
And we’re live on IWTV! Ricoh Palladino stands tall as our ring announcer. We’re baaaaaaaaaaack!
Match 1: Wonderboy Brian Morris, Nick Battee, BRG, Joe Ocasio & DJ Powers vs Fancy Ryan Clancy, Sammy Diaz, Pedro Dones, Big Boofa Dezmond Cole & Big Bacon Brad Hollister
What a star studded opener!!! The opening 6ish minutes are mostly the faces beating the tar out of the opposition. The crowd loving this. A brawl breaks out but DJ is left in a 5:1 beatdown situation. DJ worms his way out and it’s Big Boofa left to take a beating. BRG even steals a page out of the Big Business playbook and does their signature pose! Bacon hates this. Cole finally gets out of there. Huge sequence of big moves as every one tries to put a cherry on this! Wonderboy takes a nassssty fall from the buckles. This is BONKERS and somehow we’re at 15 minutes in?!? Clancy finally throws DJ into the waiting grasp of Hollister for a tornado jackhammer to get the three! AWESOME opener! The faves celebrate with a Big Business cheer, even Clancy is in on this!
Dezmond Cole on the mic. He is stoked that we’re back. He’s stoked that we’re packed. But he’s stoked that NEXT WEEK, he’s gonna be taking out DJ Powers!
Match 2: A-Game Joseph Alexander vs Wheeler Yuta
YOOTS IS BACK IN THE EAGLE!!! This is an awesome dream matchup for A-Game. I think we’re supposed to be booing Yuta but that ain’t happening. Not tonight. A-Game is definitely showing his resilience as Yuta grinds him into dust. Alexander starting to get angry as Yuta swats as his head disrespectfully. A-Game starting to show that fire…Yuta snaps on a cross armbreaker! They go back and forth on rollups! Alexander tries the seatbelt pin but Yuta has the counter to that! Yuta with a big German and starts dropping elbows to the end that flatten A-Game! Alexander pops up with a corkscrew suplex into the buckles! He tries to finish it off but Yuta snaps that seatbelt pin on and shows A-Game how it’s done….with a hand on the ropes. Yuta noooo! Alexander is mad. Yuta says he cheated to show A-Game that he always needs to be ready for d***s like him. Alexander with a huge slap! “He’s learning already” says Yuta as he leaves. Awesome.
Match 3: Bobby Orlando(c) vs Christian Darling (for the Wrestling Open Championship)
Darling takes his time during his entrance to make sure Rich Palladino SAYS HIS NAME. It seems like this match might have happened later in the night but Bobby Orlando isn’t gonna let Rich be threatened like this. The match is on! Bobby unloading on this DWEEEEEEB! Orlando has watched tapes of the Discovery Gauntlet, as he has answers for a lot of Darling’s common combos. But Christian is still coming, and dropping Orlando with hard right hands. Bobby traps Darling in the ropes and starts dropping bombs to the chest…Darling eats all that and slams Bobbynright into the apron. Orlando escapes an early TKO attempt! Mom is getting beat up but he takes Darling’s back before they both tumble from the top! Bobby stuns Darling! Missile dropkick! Tops to the floor! They brawl out to the production table as the ref counts…They almost make it back but the ref counts 10! It’s a double count out! An angry Christian Darling shoves Rich Palladino into the fire door! Bobby Orlando is still our champ but I don’t think this is over.
Match 4: Liviyah vs Gabby Forza
The friendship is over right now. Let’s see if they can get this out of their systems in the next 15 or so minutes. Ring the bell and away they brawl. Liv pulling hair to get some kind of advantage over a big strong gnome. Gabby is just overpowering her though. Huuuuuge press slam flattens Liv for a two count and it’s clear she seems out of her depth with this challenge right now. Liv finally escapes a superplex and tosses Gabby to the mat. This is her chance to do damage. Liv throwing everything she’s got to keep Gabby down…but Forza pops up and Alabama slams her. Big Gnomie lariats! Fallaway slam! Vader bomb! None of this is getting it done. Gabby WANTS that superplex but Liv ain’t having it…last ride out of the corner!!! Liv with a deep crab but she suddenly lets it go….oh no. It looks like her elbow dislocated. This match is stopped. Props to the crew for running in and HELPING immediately. Here’s hoping Liv recovers well. Jesus that looked bad.
Match 5: Shooter Boys(c) (Anthony Vecchio & Aaron Ortiz) vs Swipe Right (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes) (for the Wrestlin Open Tag Team Championships)
The former Open champions immediately attack at the bell. Ortiz sent flying off the apron! Vecchio eats a doomsday dropkick! Is that all it takes?!? Vecchio kicks out! Ortiz back in it quick and it’s clear how this team has grown even more since capturing the belts! That said, Swipe Right is just as hungry to recapture the gold! Vecchio getting double teamed but he double superplexes Swipe right. Shooters go for the finish but they get intercepted. Big brain buster crumples Vecchio. Ortiz makes the save…but gets beat down just the same! They try the super swipe..Ortiz trips up Smokes! Doomsday blockbuster connects on Brad for the three!!!! Shoot Boys retain!
Match 6: Tyree Taylor vs Bear Bronson
Both of these guys have been in some meaty wars over the past month or so. Let’s bring these giants together to SLAP SOME MEAT! The crowd firing up as they test their power and find the other their equal. Bear can bowl Tyree over with a shoulder. Tyree can powerslam Bear into the canvas. Bear with that seated senton connecting but Tyree is nowhere near done. Back and forth, these Kaiju clash. Tyree hits a huuuuuuuge falcon arrow! A uranage can’t put Bear away! He goes for the discus lariat…Bear with a boot! They start trading clotheslines but just stagger each other! Trading body splashes! Bear finally catches Taylor with a black hole slam and a stout chokebomb but Tyree down for the three!
Huge “both these guys” chant for this effort! They have the mics. Bear says he appreciates it but we need to chant and remember Tyree Taylor’s name. These were the kind of fights he came back to the indies for. No one has fought him like THAT before. Bronson DEMANDS a handshake. Taylor has words too. He wants to do this AGAIN. NEXT WEEK. Care to dance again? They shake on it as the crowd chants for MEEEEEAT!
Main Event: Eye Black Jack vs Steven Stetson (Jumbo Grand Prix Finals)
Stetson seems to suggest he wants this to be a NO-DQ match. I would be worried about that, in Jack’s biggest match to date. Jack agrees to it! And Stetson immediately blindsides him. And we go right into the crowd! Stetson makes the classic mistake of running towards the post and Jack sends him clunking into it. Huge brain buster back in the ring! Cradle bomb! Stetson kicks out! Steve gets a chair and tortures this kid with the steel. Getting under his skin with the ol’ spelling chant. Stetson keeps the beating going until Jack dodges and Steven brains himself with the weapon! Jack coming back! He spears Stetson! That could be it but Wonderboy Brian Morris interjects himself and attacks Jack! EBJ fights him off! Rain Conway runs in with a chair but his chair shot is worthless! Jack spears him! Danny Miles is here! He kicks Jack low and drops him on his head! Miles wakes Stetson up for an Eliminator style double clothesline! EBJ gets his shoulder up! Stetson is flabbergasted! Jack spears Danny! Stetson with a kick to the back! Jack escapes a burning hammer and hits a NORTH JERSEY LARIAT! EBJ with a spear! He hits the big uranage! Eye Black Jack gets the three and wins the Jumbo Grand Prix tournament in the main event of Wrestling Open 200!!!!
What a damn night.
