AEW Dynamite is live from Edinburg, TX at the Bert Ogden Arena. Our commentary team is Excalibur and Bryan Danielson.

The theme for tonight’s show is Fright Night, and we start off with a match.

Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin vs. Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta — Tornado Trick or Treat Match

Cassidy and Allin attack Garcia and Yuta as soon as they enter the ring. Garcia and Yuta turn the tables quickly and beat down Cassidy and Allin, but Cassidy and Allin reverse body slams. The fight spills to the floor, and as Yuta goes to grab something under the ring, Allin nails him in the back with a chair, throws blows, and then dives from the ring onto Yuta on the chair.

Garcia and Cassidy fight at ringside. Cassidy is whipped into the barricade but instead leaps over the rail. As Cassidy goes for his pockets, Yuta leaps into him. Garcia and Yuta beat Cassidy down in the crowd until Allin coffin drops from the next level up. Garcia and Allin brawl into the ringside area as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Yuta and Garcia are working over Allin in the ring. Cassidy enters the ring and dropkicks both Garcia and Yuta. He then takes both of them out with swinging DDTs. Garcia gets a sleeper on Cassidy and then turns it into a sleeper hold as they roll to the floor. Cassidy is placed on a table where Yuta dives from the top onto him. In the ring, Allin gets a Code Red on Garcia for two after he teases using his skateboard.

Allin goes to the top, and Yuta knocks his feet off the top rope. Yuta then puts Allin in the tree of woe, and then Cassidy joins them. Allin gets a low blow on Yuta, and Cassidy hits a diving DDT, followed by Allin getting a Coffin Drop for two, broken up by Garcia. Garcia grabs a choke on Allin in the ropes, broken up by Cassidy’s Orange Punch. Cassidy puts Garcia through a table set up at ringside, and Allin gets a Scorpion Death Lock on Yuta, who has to tap out.

Winners: Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin

Hook cuts a promo for his upcoming match later tonight.

Don Callis is with Renee Paquette and calls over the Young Bucks. He asks if they want to join the Don Callis Family now that outside forces have made them look like idiots. He then says he has arranged a special entrance for them. They walk by people in Halloween costumes.

The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) vs. FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) vs. Jetspeed (Mike Bailey and Kevin Knight) vs. Jurassic Express (Jungle Jack Perry and Luchasaurus)

The Bucks get flames and pyro. Stokely joins commentary.

Perry and Bailey start and shake hands, but Cash tags in on Perry before they lock up.

Cash and Bailey lock up, and Cash forces him to the ropes. Cash gets in a series of blows, and Bailey reverses and hands out a series of quick kicks.

Perry tags in on Cash, and he and Bailey run the ropes and trade armdrags.

Luchasaurus tags in, and they double-team Bailey until Knight gets into the ring, and all four men trade quick moves.

This sets off the tag team siren, and everyone is in the ring brawling.

FTR and the Bucks take out Jetspeed and Jurassic Express.

Knight is able to tag in Perry, and he gets a hurricanrana on FTR and then dives onto them, but they catch him and drive him into the announce table.

Time for lots of dives.

Dax stops Knight’s dive and then suplexes him from the top into everyone on the floor as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Perry has been the babyface in peril and gets the hot tag to Luchasaurus, who cleans house.

Perry takes out Jetspeed as they are recovering.

Knight goes to the top and leaps over Luchasaurus. Luchasaurus gives Knight a big boot.

The Bucks work over Luchasaurus and give Jurassic Express superkicks.

The Bucks hit a Shatter Machine on Cash.

The Bucks get Knight with a superkick and the BTE Trigger for two.

Luchasaurus takes out the Bucks and hits a moonsault onto Nick.

Knight gets the UFO Splash on Matt, and FTR hit the Shatter Machine on Knight for the pin and the win.

Winners (and earning a Tag Team Championship match at Full Gear): FTR

Super spotfest match and tons of fast action.

We then get a replay of the Hangman Adam Page promo from Collision about Samoa Joe.

The Don Callis Family Summit

It’s now time for the Don Callis Family summit, and he brings everyone in his group to the ring. He says he is here to clear the air about any issues between Okada and Takeshita. Rocky Romero praises Callis and unveils a new painting for the entire family. Josh Alexander introduces a video of the Family giving a recap of the last few months. Kyle Fletcher then says the reason they do what they do, and he reminds them of the Don Callis Family Oath.

He is interrupted by Takeshita, who we were told was not there due to travel issues.

Don stops him from walking over to Okada, and Takeshita knocks his hand off. Okada gets up, and they face off as Callis gets between them. He tells Takeshita it is an entire family of alpha males. He then says at the end of the day, this is a family. He says the reason they succeed is by listening to what Callis wants. There is no “I” in team, but there is an “I” in family, and he decides what happens.

Callis says that he and Takeshita built the family on the ashes of Kenny Omega’s career, and he says that Takeshita should put his ego aside and shake Okada’s hand. Callis says that this is about his honor as a member of the family. Takeshita holds his hand out, and Okada flips him off.

The family gets between the two of them, and Callis says they have some work to do here, so he needs to show them how to work together. They will have a tag team match on Collision Saturday.

We then get a hype video of Olympia, who is facing Mercedes Moné on Saturday on Collision.

Renee is with Kris Statlander and says she will be at Collision to support Moné in her match against Olympia. She is also here tonight, as is Moné, so if Moné has anything to say to her, she needs to step up.

Kyle O’Reilly vs. Jon Moxley (w/ Marina Shafir)

Kyle tries to catch Mox’s leg, and they move to mat grappling. Kyle starts kicking Mox’s leg over and over. They trade forearms. Mox dumps Kyle to the floor as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Mox has a full nelson on Kyle on the floor and then runs him into the steel steps. Mox rolls Kyle into the ring and misses a charge, running into the ring post. Kyle gets a series of kicks and then a dragon screw in the ropes. Mox gets a piledriver as Kyle was trying a single leg and then locks on a crossface into a crucifix hold. Mox goes for the eyes and has to break the hold.

Mox and Kyle trade blows until Kyle gets a double leg pick and grounds and pounds. Kyle gets an ankle lock, and Mox works out of it. Kyle stomps on Mox’s Achilles and then gets a knee to the back of Mox’s head for two. Mox gets a series of hammer and anvil elbows, and they move to knee strikes. Mox tries for a Gotch-style piledriver, but Kyle turns it into a triangle choke. Kyle breaks the hold and gets a PK.

Kyle charges in, and Mox hits a lariat, and both men are down. They slowly struggle to their feet, and Mox gets a big boot. Kyle picks the leg into an ankle lock. Mox dives to the ropes for the break and goes to the floor. Kyle gets a flying crossbody on Mox on the floor and grabs an armbar. Kyle gets a dragon screw into the barricade.

Kyle tries for a running leap, but Shafir gets in his way. Kyle gets a guillotine choke on the floor, and the ref counts both men out.

No winner due to the count-out.

As Kyle is arguing with the ref, Shafir attacks her and knocks her down. This leads to the Death Riders in the ring, and the Conglomeration hits the ring, driving off the Death Riders.

Darby grabs a mic and asks where they are running. He says the Death Riders haven’t suffered enough. Mark Briscoe says they are a bunch of fake-ass tough guys. Mark says they have a solution. Orange Cassidy then challenges the Death Riders to Blood and Guts.

So now we have two Blood and Guts challenges.

We come back from commercial to Kris Statlander and Mercedes Moné fighting. They brawl from the back to the ring. Athena attacks Kris and rolls her into the ring. Moné gets a Backstabber, and Athena hits the O-Face before Moné puts Kris in the Moné Statement.

Willow Nightingale and Harley Cameron hit the ring, and Moné and Athena bail.

We then get a hype video for Mascara Dorada, and we get a promo from Bandido talking about having his family at his matches.

Sisters of Sin (Skye Blue and Julia Hart) vs. Queen Aminata and Jamie Hayter — Women’s Tag Team Title Tournament

We finally see that Bryan Danielson is a guest at the announce position.

Aminata and Hart start, and after Hart attacks Hayter, she goes at Aminata. Hayter gets into the ring so they can double-team Hart for two. Skye tags in, and Aminata hits her with chocolate kisses. Aminata and Hayter work over Skye with quick tags. Hart gets into the ring, and she and Skye are suplexed by Aminata and Hayter. Hayter and Aminata go back to work on Skye.

Skye gets a blind tag, and they get a flapjack on Hayter and hit a double kick for two. Hart is slamming Hayter’s head into the mat again and again as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Hayter has been the babyface in peril through the break and gets the hot tag to Aminata, who cleans house. Blue takes most of Aminata’s attack before Hayter tags in, and they double-team her. Hayter ends it with a sliding lariat for two, broken up by Hart. All four women slug it out in the ring until all four are down.

Aminata tags in and throws hands with Skye. Aminata stretches Skye’s arm over her shoulder, broken up by Hart. Hayter and Hart fight on the floor, and Thekla attacks Hayter from under the ring. Hart gets into the ring and helps Skye get a pendulum slam on Aminata for the pin and the win.

Winners: Sisters of Sin

In the back, Tony Schiavone is wearing a Phantom of the Opera mask and is interviewing Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford. We are told that Ford’s arm is injured and she has torn her UCL and cannot compete for the tag team titles. Bayne challenges any woman to step up and team with her, and we see Marina Shafir show up and accept the offer with Mox by her side approving.

Samoa Joe vs. Ricochet vs. Hook vs. Bobby Lashley — Winner Gets an AEW World Title Shot at Full Gear

Lashley goes after Ricochet, who bails. Joe goes after Lashley, but Hook attacks Joe. Lashley pulls Joe out of the ring, and they brawl on the floor. When Lashley gets on the apron, Ricochet dropkicks him off. This leads to Ricochet being trapped between Hook and Lashley, who work him over. Hook covers Ricochet, and Lashley pulls him off. Hook and Lashley throw hands. Lashley yells at Hook to calm down and elbows him before knocking him off the apron.

Lashley then chokeslams him on the apron as Ricochet dives onto Lashley. Then Joe dives onto all of them. This takes us to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Hook and Joe throw hands. Joe snaps Lashley’s head on the top rope when Lashley tries to get into the ring. Joe gets a powerslam on Hook for two, broken up by Ricochet. Joe does the “Nope” walkaway on Ricochet and then beats him down with jabs.

Lashley gets into the ring, and they go toe-to-toe. Lashley gets a spinebuster when Joe charges at him. Ricochet tries to attack, and Lashley gives him a front slam for two, broken up by Hook. Hook shoves Lashley at Joe, who clotheslines him, and we are back to Hook and Joe. Joe gets a headbutt, but Hook gets a leg capture suplex on Joe before Ricochet gets a flying clothesline, then dives onto Lashley on one side of the ring and Joe on the other.

Ricochet gets a shooting star press from the top on Hook for two. Hook intercepts Ricochet’s Spirit Gun with Redrum, and Joe breaks it up with a senton. Joe pulls Hook into the Muscle Buster, but Lashley spears him. Lashley covers Joe for two, broken up by Ricochet. Hook escapes Vertigo with a roll-up for two. Lashley is on the apron, and Ricochet tosses a chair at him. Lashley just turns toward him in anger.

Lashley chases Ricochet up the ramp as Joe grabs a Coquina Clutch on Hook, who has to tap out.

Winner (and earning the main event title shot at Full Gear): Samoa Joe

That was an awesome match, playing off all the feuds between the men involved — lots of action and so many great spots and face-offs.

Tony Schiavone hits the ring to interview Joe as Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata join him. Tony says they will sign the contract right now, and the people in costumes we saw earlier bring the contract to the ring. Joe tells The Opps to get rid of the costumed people, and they toss them from the ring as Joe signs the contract.

Joe says Hangman is not as creative as he used to be since the last time we saw the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man was Hangman in a costume. Joe says he will finally beat Hangman at Full Gear. Tony calls for a toast, and they all grab beers. Tony goes on about the toast, and his voice changes to that of Hangman, who is wearing the suit and the Phantom mask as he attacks The Opps. He hits a Buckshot Lariat and beats Joe down before security pulls him off, and we’re out of time!
