Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling raised over $100,000 last night for REENA, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. The show, sponsored by Tribute Communities, was held in Toronto at The New Age Experience Center with the following results:
Preshow:
*Bryce Hansen defeated Jimmy Townsend.
Main Show:
*Evil Uno defeated D-Man Parker.
MLP President Scott D’Amore, Magen Boys Entertainment President Page Magen, and Matt Hardy presented Shira Lev, Fundraising Manager for the Renna Foundation, with a cheque for $110,386.
*El Reverso defeated Jesse Bieber and Alessandro Del Bruno by pinning Del Bruno.
*Jewish World Champion Colt Cabana defeated Tye Clodd.
*Brent Banks defeated Tarik.
*Microman won the Renna Rumble, with Matt Hardy serving as the special enforcer.
*Carlito defeated Richard Holliday.
*MLP Canadian Champion Josh Alexander & MLP Women's Canadian Gisele Shaw defeated Kris Chambers & Taylor Rising when Alexander pinned Chambers.
*PWA Champion’s Grail Champion Rohan Raja (with Aurora Teves) defeated Rhino.
*TNA Champion Santana defeated Sheldon Jean (with Bryce Hansen). Santana addressed the crowd, expressing his gratitude for being back in Toronto, thanking the fans for their support, and celebrating the impressive fundraising total for the Renna Foundation.
The show drew 500, which means the venue was packed.
The matches were taped for future release on MLP’s YouTube channel.
Commentary was provided by Reid Duthie (voice of the OHL’s Brampton Bulldogs) and NWA’s Aron Stevens, with Sam Leterna serving as the ring announcer.
