10/28 NJPW SUPER JR. TAG LEAGUE RESULTS FROM NIIGATA, JAPAN

10/28/25 Results from New Japan's Super Jr. Tag League 2025 From Niigata, Japan:

This show was held on Sado Island, which is Northwest of Niigata.   The wrestlers had to travel by boat to get there.

1 - Zane Jay and  Shoma Kato vs. Tatsuya Matsumoto and Masatora Yasuda

Kato forces Matsumoto to tap out to a Boston Crab.

2 - Katsuya Murashima, Toru Yano, KUUKAI and El Desperado vs. OSKAR, Yuto-Ice, Robbie X and Taiji Ishimori

Yuto hits a Punt Kick on Murashima and gets the pin.

3 - Boltin Oleg, YAMATO and Tiger Mask vs. Hartley Jackson, Kosei Fujita and Robbie Eagles

Oleg hits a Kamikaze on Jackson and gets the pin.

4 - Hiroshi Tanahashi, Yuki Yoshioka and KUSHIDA vs. Yujiro Takahashi, Dick Togo and Yoshinobu Kanemaru

Tanahashi pins Yujiro with a High Fly Flow.

Tanahashi, KUSHIDA and Yoshioka spend a lot of time greeting and thanking fans at ringside.  This was a the first New Japan event in many years on Sado Island and Tanahashi wanted give the fans a good show.  

Super Jr. Tag League A Block Matches:

5 - Dragon Dia and Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Jakob Austin Young and Templario

Taguchi picks up Young for a Dodon.  Young reverses Taguchi into a Victory Roll, but Taguchi reverses into a pin by holding the tights.

Dragon Dia and Ryusuke Taguchi have 4 points.

United Empire have 2 points.

6 -  Daiki Nagai and Clark Conners vs. SHO and DOUKI

SHO cuts another promo which gets boos from the crowd.   SHO is becoming a good mouthpiece for the House of Torture.

Referee bumps.  SHO hits a low blow on Conners.  SHO tries to hit Nagai with a wrench, but Nagai slaps him. DOUKI tries to hit Nagai with a pipe, but Nagai pushes DOUKI into the ropes, where Conners hits him with a tire.   Nagai applies the Boston Crab on DOUKI.   SHO hits Nagai in the head with a black metal sheet.   DOUKI pins Nagai.

House of Torture have 8 points.

Nagai and Conners have 0 points.

7 - Master Wato and YOH vs. Gedo and Hiromu Takahashi

All four men shake hands at the start.   Then they all start trading jaw breakers. They battle back and forth, with Gedo holding his own against the younger Wato and YOH.    Hiromu hits a Hiromuchan Bomber and a Timebomb 1.5 on Wato.  Two count.    Hiromu hits a Timebomb.   YOH makes the save.   Hiromu hits a Falcon Arrow Wato.   Gedo goes for a splash off the top rope but Wato gets the knees up.  Gedo applies a figure four on Wato.   YOH slams Hiromu on Gedo to break the submission.   YOH hits superkick on Hiromu and Gedo.   YOH and Wato hit Total Elimination on Gedo . Two count.  Wato and YOH hit the Falcon Blow on Gedo. 

Wato pins Gedo.

Master Wato and YOH have 8 points.

Gedo and Hiromu have 2 points.

SHO/DOUKI and Wato/YOH look to be the top of the Jr. Tag Division.  I would expect both teams, plus Eagles and Fujita in a 3-team or 4-team match at Wrestle Kingdom.

DOUKI holds both the Jr. Heavyweight Championship and Jr. Tag Team Championship.   He will drop one of those titles before Wrestle Kingdom
