10/23 NJPW SUPER JUNIOR TAG LEAGUE 2025 IN TOKYO, JAPAN RESULTS

By James Kurokawa on 2025-10-23 15:55:00

From Korakuen Hall, Tokyo Japan:

1 - Zane Jay and Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Shingo Takagi and Yota Tsuji

Takagi forces Jay to submit to a double chicken wing submission.

There were no video promotions on New Japan World for the Super Jr. Tag League in the weeks leading up to this event, which could mean the company was still putting the participants together at the last minute.  When the former members of Los Ingobernales de Japon, now known as "The Unaffiliated",  shook hands with the War Dogs, this was an explanation why Clark Conners is partnering with Daiki Nagai, and why Hiromu Takahashi is teaming with Gedo.   It does not make sense from a storyline perspective, but it is what it is.  This booking is puzzling, but with Wrestle Kingdom coming soon, nothing else matters except Hiroshi Tanahashi's last match.

Super Jr. Tag League Matches:

2 - Jakob Austin Young and Templario vs. SHO and DOUKI

House of Torture goes for their weapons, but Templario and Young avoid their tricks.   DOUKI cradles Young into a pin with his feet on the ropes for leverage.

DOUKI and SHO have 2 points.

Young and Templario have 0 points.

3 - Robbie X and Taiji Ishimori vs. Dick Togo and Yoshinobu Kanemaru

War Dogs hit a Magic Killer on Togo.   Robbie follows with the X Express.

Robbie pins Togo.

Robbie X and Taiji Ishimori have 2 points.

Dick Togo and Yoshinobu Kanemaru have 0 points.

4 - Gedo and Hiromu Takahashi vs. Daiki Nagai and Clark Conners

Conners kept hyping up Nagai, giving him encouragement.  They double teamed Hiromu.   Gedo tripped up Hiromu, his own partner.  Gedo started yelling at Hiromu.   Hiromu grabs his beard.   Gedo screams at Conners to save him.   Conners breaks them up.  Conners and Gedo huddle in the corner.  Hiromu drop kicks Nagai and wraps him in a Gedo Clutch.

Hiromu pins Nagai.

Gedo and Hiromu Takahashi have 2 points.

Daiki Nagai and Clark Conners have 0 points.

Conners gets pissed at Gedo thinking he got tricked.  Gedo begs him that it was an accident.   Gedo gives Conners the Two Sweet Salute.   Behind Conner's back, Gedo gives a "thumbs up" to Hiromu, much to the delight of the Korakuen crowd.

This will be a comedic story going forward with Hiromu and Gedo throughout the tournament.  They might be teasing a story that Conners tries to bring Nagai over to the Bullet Club as well.

5 - YAMATO and Tiger Mask vs. Yuki Yoshioka and KUSHIDA

Yuki Yoshioka is from the Dragongate promotion, and this is first appearance in New Japan.

KUSHIDA forces Tiger Mask to tap out to a cross arm breaker.

KUSHIDA and Yuki Yoshioka has 2 points.

YAMATO and Tiger Mask has 0 points.

6 - Dragon Dia and Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Master Wato and YOH

Wato and YOH hit the Falcon Blow on  Dia.

Wato pins Dia.

Eagles pins KUUKAI.

TMDK have 2 points.
