Update from one of Bobby Horne's daughters, Chelsea:
Bobby Horne will be laid to rest in Monroe, North Carolina, next to his sweet mama, as were his wishes. Denise Jones and I are joining hearts and minds with his family in North Carolina as we work together to bring him home and have been making phone calls to funeral homes all morning. If you want to know what the real grief looks like, it’s mom and I sitting on the couch in tears making these phone calls, crying uncontrollably, talking about memories with him, and then trying to smile knowing he is looking down on us happy that we are helping each other through. In the midst of the phone calls and tears we have realized honestly how unprepared we were for this to happen. We did not anticipate loosing him so soon, and it hurts so much.
As you know, there are costs to final services and getting him flown back to NC to be laid to rest, and we are asking for your help. Mo meant so much to so many and was so selfless, always taking care of others. Now it’s our turn to take care of him.
Every single cent donated at this link will go towards services for Bobby Horne. If you are not in a position to donate, please continue to send prayers for us, his family, and everyone grieving the loss of such an absolutely amazing man.
