THE WHAT IS MISSING IN WWE RIGHT NOW EDITION OF THE Q AND A

WRT the wrestling boom being over, I think the issues are multifold.  If you look at the beginning of the "HHH" era there were story lines that were intriguing, established stars who compelling and, in m opinion, fans were just itching for something other than Vince's booking so anything HHH did that was different captured fan appeal.

I think you nailed that.  In addition to stars that fans got behind they were also in storylines that were well written and got fans invested.

I think the difference now is that the TKO influence has muddied the booking waters.  The MAKE MORE MONEY business model doesn't necessarily fit with WWE.

That is a fair statement.  TKO is chasing the dollar and that means they will add any show where someone will pay them their rate.  That does affect the booking because HHH now has to book to what is put in front of him by TKO as opposed to booking to the traditional schedule of events.  That makes his job harder for sure.  With that said, it doesn’t let him off the hook for the drab character development and stories he has produced lately.

The product is the people (wrestlers and fans) and they are being treated as "commodities".  I think the fans realize that and it looks to me like the wrestlers and the bookers do too.

The product is the people, I agree with that.

If you look at the matches, the moves don't look as realistic.  It looks like spots are thought about before they are executed, punches don't land, botches are frequent etc.

I totally disagree with you there.  The moves haven’t changed over the last year.  It’s the storytelling and character development.  When a fan is invested in what they are watching they tend to avoid nitpicking.

I mean it looks like the wrestlers are just going through the motions.  The matches used to look like real fights and they just don't anymore.  Also I think that using other organizations (TNA, AAA, etc.) puts off hardcore WWE fans who may look at this as "trespassing".  How wrong am I?

I was with you, for the most part, until this statement was made.  As I said above, to me the issue is in the storytelling and character development more than anything else.
