What do you think of the Tony Khan tall tale about him talking to Lou Thesz when he was 12 years old?
It's not a tall tale. It's the truth. Khan and Thesz were both part of the old AOL Grandstand Wrestling area when that was a major destination for pro wrestling fans in that era. Thesz maintained a "folder" as it was called then where he answered questions and I can attest to the fact that not only did he communicate with Khan in that era, but Thesz and I regularly emailed and talked in the same time period. There were a number of others in the business who took part in that era and were just as open to talking with fans at the time, including Tod Gordon, Afa Anoa'i, Brian Pillman, Marc Mero, Missy Hyatt, Chris Kanyon, Kimberly Page and Diamond Dallas Page. It was the earliest era of the Internet and it was pretty open access to those who wanted to interact at the time.
When NXT and AEW went head to head, including the recent Showdown, show were they watching each other's shows backstage?
While it's possible AEW had the NXT show on in their production truck, I know that backstage at AEW, back when they were head to head weekly and even last week's Showdown vs. Title Tuesday, they never had the NXT show up on monitors in gorilla or in locker rooms. They 100% were just focused on what they were doing. I did not hear AEW was on backstage at WWE NXT last week. You have to remember that in the moment, everyone on camera and backstage in each company are just trying to get through the day and handle their responsibilities.
How long before John Cena comes back to wrestle?
I honestly don't think he will, but never say never. I think he has a lot on his plate in Hollywood.
Do you think WWE invited Donald Trump to Cena's farewell match?
I am sure they would be happy to have him there.
