Nacho Libre, the Jack Black lucha libre comedy that was a huge hit at the time of release, will be getting a 4K UHD DVD release from Kino Lorber on 12/9.
The plot - "Fueled by the quixotic desire to feed hungry orphans and escape his lowly station as a Mexican monastery's slop cook, humble Brother Ignacio (Jack Black) adopts the masked guise of wrestler Nacho Libre. The heroic luchador storms the ring with his comical sidekick (Héctor Jiménez) while trying to impress the lovely Sister Encarnación (Ana de la Reguera) in this eccentric satire from director Jared Hess (" Napoleon Dynamite")."
The film featured the late Silver King as Ramses' the idol of Jack Black's character as well as Mascarita Doprado and Human Tornado, among others.
During its original theatrical release in 1999, the film made $99,255,460 worldwide at the box office.
