With this being John Cena's last year, WWE didn't manage his days well and with only a few days left, my question is why didn't WWE do any "via satellite" videos with Cena to promote matches? Would these have counted as "appearances"? Also, given how WWE fans love Cena, could he have volunteered to add more dates and appearances to help correct the botched heel turn and loss of time?
WWE approaches announced a Cena match as it being all of the promotion that it needs. I can’t really blame them. Could they add dates? If both sides agreed but given it’s mid-October I don’t see it happening. They might as well just make the matches that he has left as special as they can make them.
Has the lead up to the Darby vs. Moxley I quit match been too crazy? It's almost to the point that if one of them doesn't die then no one will care. Setting guys on fire, Molotov cocktails, plastic bags over heads, tasers - really what's left?
To Tony Khan, no it hasn’t been too crazy. To you and I? Yes, it sure has. It’s almost comical to me at this point. I am waiting for Mox to come out with a Wile E. Coyote box of destruction from Acme at this point.
With the move overseas for Wrestlemania in a few years, is it finally time to find a different time of the year for the Hall of Fame? I just can’t see them flying new inductees and their families to Saudi Arabia, and depending on their health or age, they may not even be able to. Thoughts?
I agree 100 percent. If it’s me, starting in 2027 I make the Hall part of SummerSlam weekend.
So what happens to the WrestleMania week indy shows with WrestleMania going overseas? Will they show up at SummerSlam or another big show?
I would expect that they will populate the show that Tony Khan does on WrestleMania weekend in 2027. Also if it were my call, I would definitely target SummerSlam weekend if I were one of the companies that historically run on Mania weekend.
