Welcome to the PWInsider.com TNA Impact on AXS TV report for the last event before Sunday's Bound for Glory PPV. I am filling in for Mike as he was hosting panels at New York Comic Con this evening.
TNA Champion Trick Williams opened the show and addressed the audience, stating that TNA was his company and calling himself “Trick-NA.” He said Mike Santana would not stop him from retaining the TNA Championship at Bound for Glory. Mike Santana entered through the crowd and responded, describing the hardships he had experienced, including identifying his father’s body and admitting his addiction to his daughter. He said failure was not an option for him. Williams replied that Santana would return to rehab after Bound for Glory. Santana told Williams he was a pretender with fear in his eyes and said Williams was “bound for developmental” after losing the title.
Matt Cardona vs. Ryan Nemeth (with Nic Nemeth)
The match began with Ryan Nemeth gaining control after sending Cardona to the floor with a Hangman’s Neckbreaker. Nic Nemeth interfered by choking Cardona with the ropes when the referee was distracted. Cardona hit a missile dropkick but missed a middle-rope elbow, allowing Ryan to connect with a DDT for a near fall. Nic attempted to trip Cardona again, but the referee saw it and ejected him from ringside. As Ryan argued with the referee, Cardona hit Radio Silence for the pinfall victory.
In the Treehouse, Zachary Wentz confronted Trey Miguel about superkicking him the previous week. Trey said it was accidental and apologized. Myron Reed suggested they speak to Santino Marella since they did not have a match for Bound for Glory. The group left together.
A vignette aired featuring Mara Sadé. She spoke about her inspirations in wrestling, including Jazz, Lance Storm, and Tommy Dreamer. She said she wanted to be a positive influence on young girls and help inspire future generations.
Mustafa Ali (with Order 4) vs. JDC (with The System)
JDC controlled the early portion of the match with power moves, including a spinning powerslam and a lariat that turned Ali inside out. Ali countered with a springboard dropkick and a slingshot neckbreaker. JDC caught Ali on a dive attempt with a midair dropkick. After a commercial break, JDC hit a superplex, followed by a Falcon Arrow for a two count. Ali escaped another Falcon Arrow and connected with a suplex. JDC dodged a 450 Splash and sent Ali face-first into the bottom turnbuckle. He hit a series of uppercuts and a Side Russian Leg Sweep for a near fall. JDC climbed to the top rope, but Ali rolled outside. JDC dove onto Ali and his Secret Service at ringside, leading to a brawl between The System and Order 4. Agent Zero hit a chokebomb to JDC on the apron and threw him into the ring, where Ali executed the 450 Splash for the win. After the match, The System threw weapons into the ring as both factions continued their confrontation.

Hartwell said her family was traveling 21 hours to Boston to see her win the title. Jordan responded that she wanted to elevate the championship and respected TNA. Both women signed the contract and faced off while Jordan held up the title belt.
A retrospective video focused on the rivalry between The Hardys and Team 3D, highlighting moments from their careers. Devon said he wanted to compete one last time so his children could see what he used to do. Bully Ray said he expected unplanned emotion during the match. Footage included comments from Jeff Hardy’s daughters, Nera and Ruby, who spoke about their father. Matt Hardy said the match represented the end of an era.
X-Division Champion Leon Slater spoke on the entrance stage. He said this year had been surreal, mentioning that he was the youngest X-Division Champion in TNA history and had main-evented PPVs. Slater said Bound for Glory was his chance to build a legacy and prove himself against Je’Von Evans, calling the title proof that he belonged in TNA.
Eric Young vs. Joe Hendry – No Disqualification Match
The match began with both men exchanging strikes before moving to the floor. Eric Young used a trash can and a steel chain to attack Hendry and choked him with the chain against the barricade. Young attempted a piledriver on the steel steps, but Hendry countered with a back body drop. They fought onto the stage where Hendry slammed Young onto the ramp and followed with a forearm that sent Young rolling down. The brawl continued into the crowd, where Hendry threw Young into a garbage bin, opening a small cut on Young’s forehead. Back in the ring, Young placed a chair between the top and middle turnbuckles. Hendry reversed an Irish whip, sending Young into the chair. Hendry struck Young with baking sheets and delivered a Fallaway Slam followed by an Olympic Slam onto a chair for a two count. Hendry set up for the Standing Ovation, but Young hit a low blow. He followed with a Piledriver onto the steel chair to secure the victory. After the match, Young celebrated in the ring.
A closing video featured Mike Santana training while reading a letter written by Konnan, who also narrated. The letter spoke about Santana’s opportunity to become the first Puerto Rican TNA World Champion and the responsibility of representing his culture.
