A new play about the opening days of NBC milestone series Saturday Night Live is currently in previews in New York City and has a connection to ECW.
Former ECW ring announcer Stephen DeAngelis is the casting director for the play, which looks at the origins of the sketch comedy series and the performers who brought it to life. DeAngelis has worked in the casting realm of the entertainment world for decades, way before and after his ring announcing duties for ECW, ROH, MLW and beyond.
The play has no official connection to NBC or SNL.
