WWE Celebrity Hall of Famer William Shatner, 93, was hospitalized earlier this week with a medical emergency, according to TMZ.com, which quoted Shatner’s agent, Harry Gold, as saying he had an issue with his blood sugar while at his Los Angeles home late Wednesday afternoon. Shatner's agency has since publicly claimed that was inaccurate.
On his Instagram, Shatner commented, "I over indulged. I thank you all for caring but I’m perfectly fine. I keep telling you all: don’t trust tabloids or AI!"
WWE inducted Shatner into the Celebrity Wing of their Hall of Fame in 2020 after the Star Trek great made a number of appearances for the company over the years, including once monkeyflipping Jerry Lawler on an episode of Raw and later returning to guest host an entire episode. Shatner, who narrated the WWE Network series Breaking Ground, also inducted Lawler into the WWE Hall.
