After watching the show last night, I had a few questions for you:
Given how Brock/Cena went down, do you envision Brock being Cena's final opponent now, with John wanting one more crack at him before he hangs it up?
I do, yes. The way Cena got decimated immediately gave me the Rocky 3 vibe with him being Rocky to Brock’s Clubber Lang. I don’t see anyone else who would make sense in Cena’s last match at this point.
Or, do you think Brock is being positioned to go after a title and Cena was just a vehicle to establish his dominance?
With Vince McMahon gone, I don’t see Brock going after the Title. Honestly, he shouldn’t be in that picture at this point both from a creative standpoint and also because Janel Grant’s lawsuit still looms.
I felt Cody vs. Drew was very flat, and it almost seems like both men have lost momentum. I certainly think Drew should be champion again, but with last night being Cody's first title defense, did anyone expect him to drop the belt? Did HHH sort of book himself into a corner on that one?
I think the work was great and they told a story but the match was hurt by the fact that the booking leading up to it was rushed and haphazard. To your point I didn’t see any way that the Title would change either and that hurt the match for me as well.
Looks like they have officially "strapped the rocket" to Stephanie Vaquer. I'm all for it, I think she's more than proven herself. You?
I agree 100 percent. She is a special talent.
Right before the cold open, they were playing some hip-hop sounding music. I was lamenting how they don't seem to use any rock n' roll anymore. And when the video package got rolling, they used Renegade by Styx. I had a huge smile on my face for that. Do you care at all what music they are using?
I like rock better because that is the genre I listen to so I prefer it but it doesn’t really bother me all that much.
