AEW will present All Out in Toronto on PPV, Amazon Prime and HBO Max. Here is our take on what should happen!
AEW Champion Hangman Page vs. AEW TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher.
Cory: They are doing a good job of making Kyle Fletcher seem like a big deal, and if they keep it up, they can make the TNT title seem like a legit second title. I also think that it will be a solid well worked match. However, Page has to keep the title for a good, long time to undo the damage they did to him after he lost the title last time. I see him winning unless they give up on him for good, which I don’t see.
Mike: No shot there is a title change here, given how hard they worked to rehab Page and get him back to the World title slot. The victory for Fletcher should be a big main event slot and performance.
Richard: If this match starts before 7PM Eastern, I will consider this a failure by Tony. I can't see Tony letting the competition steal their date and not get off without a return shot. The Son of the Thumb has a chance to become the World Champion, but I don't think it will happen on Saturday night. He will come close many times during the match but Page has the momentum and has re-established himself as 'the guy' in AEW. Kyle will make the mistake that leads to the end and the Buckshot Lariat (STOP DOING THAT MOVE LOGAN).
AEW Women's Champion Toni Storm vs. Jamie Hayter vs. Kris Statlander vs. Thekla.
Cory: Toni Storm is the top star in AEW at this point, and it’s not even close. Her promos, her work when she does commentary, her matches, all of it are the work of someone at the peak. I said last pay per view she doesn’t need the title anymore to be the top star. This one is one where I think she may lose. Kris is involved with the Death Riders in some way (I HOPE she doesn’t turn like Garcia did, since that can only work once), and Thekla has really exploded into the company. I am going out on a limb and say Thekla gets the title to build up the Triangle of Madness.
Mike: I don't see a title change here. My gut is Storm wins but it then attacked by Thekla to set up the next chapter.
Richard: I don't see Toni losing the title here, even with the chance for (biting my lip saying this) 'the champion to lose the title without being pinned'. Jamie is a former champion but since her return, it doesn't feel like she should be champion, yet. Statlander has been here forever and has been the good soldier and is a reasonable option for the title and her window may be closing. Thekla had the hype, but I don't think it has translated in the ring so I don't think she is winning.
*AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone vs. Riho.
Cory: Riho just came back, so she gets to lose to Mone. As is tradition.
Mike: This will be Mercedes and Riho having a competitive bout and then Mone retains.
Richard: When Riho was announced for this match, her last match was July . . . 2024. Are there no women in AEW who deserve a title match who have wrestled in the previous 14 months? It would seem like the perfect time for an upset and take one of the 50 titles from Mone, but it doesn't happen this time. Maybe Mel can come back to AEW and take the title from Mone.
AEW Tag Team Champions Bandido & Brody King vs. The Young Bucks vs. Jetspeed vs. Josh Alexander & Hechicero - Ladder Match.
Cory: I can’t see Brandido being a transitional champion, so they can’t lose on their first PPV after getting the title. This will be a crazy car crash match, but Bandido gets the win and keeps the titles.
Mike: They've been telling the story of The Bucks rebounding from their fall from grace and I could absolutely see them stealing the titles here to continue that arc. Pretty cool for Josh Alexander to be in such a big match in Canada.
Richard: Brody and Bandido just won the titles, but this is a ladder match where the only skill you need to win a title is the ability to climb a ladder, hold on to it, not get knocked off, and be able to grab title belts hanging over the ring to become champions. The three challengers I expected are in this match, but I don't think it changes the results. There will be a Meltzer Driver off the ladder during the match. Someone (or more) will be pushed off the ladders through a table on the floor during this match. I almost expect an homage to the Edge spear during the TLC match back in the day during this match. Can't wait to see Brody climb that ladder to get the belts.
Jon Moxley vs. Darby Allin - Coffin Match.
Cory: I don’t see how Darby can lose this match and still be a top guy. I fully expect this to be an insane bloodfest with endless plunder, lots of run-ins and Mox and Darby doing things they should not do. Darby has to close the coffin lid and get a win here.
Mike: I expect lots of restholds. Just kidding. There will be a lot of gore, violence and insanity. I expect Moxley will win so Darby has something to avenge, unless Bryan Danielson gets involved here.
Richard: The biggest positive about this match is that it is not for the title. There will be blood. There will be times where you wonder if Darby has a brain because of some of the spots he does. There will be times where Darby will fall from high places and do more damage to himself than his opponent. Moxley will do things that would have finished a normal wrestler (who is not Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, or a person in an AEW ring) but Darby will fight back with the determination that he has shown during the years. Darby wins, but pays the price after the coffin is closed.
AEW International Champion Kazuchika Okada vs. Konosuke Takeshita vs. Mascara Dorada
Cory: A third person in the match? That makes it so Takeshita can pin them and Okada can want revenge. Takeshita wins by pinning Dorado.
Mike: Takeshita is great but I can absolutely see Okada retaining. Dorada is the one eating the loss here, no matter what.
Richard: I was a bit surprised that Mortos didn't get the spot in this match but you need someone to take the pin and Mortone isn't the one to do it. Takeshita has a big 2026 ahead of him in Japan (potentially) if he wins the IWGP title at WK, but that is a few months away. You could have him win this title, get a few good title defenses (remember when this title was defended?). I will be a BITCH to Okada and say that Takeshita wins.
Big Bill vs. the returning Eddie Kingston.
Cory: Eddie is not losing his first match back.
Mike: I suspect a short brawl and Kingston wins after hitting the spinning backfist off the ropes, to account for Bill's height. Bill is probably the most undderrated guy on the roster and always puts in a good performance.
Richard: An interesting matchup, but it is two New York guys beating the crap out of each other. How will Eddie look in this match? Eddie is winning, but Bill will look good coming out of it. If only they would use him better, or at all.
FTR vs. Adam "Cope" Copeland & Christian Cage.
Cory: I was a bit tempted to say FTR wins, since they are a long term team, and they have been teasing the trouble still between Cope and Cage, but they are not going to have Cope lose a match in Toronto. Cope and Cage win, but Cage may turn on him after the match, since he said he was only with Cope for this match after they beat Kip Sabian and Killswitch. By the way, Cage showed how good he was on Dynamite by simply grabbing the microphone when Cope was talking and saying “It’s Cage and Cope” with perfect timing.
Mike: This is the opener to make the crowd excited and get them into the show. It has to be Cope and Cage winning, right?
Richard: If you want to open the show with a very hot crowd in Toronto, you do it with one of the top Canadian teams of all time. Dax's injury could be a factor in this match, and it might cut a 22 minute match down to 17 minutes, but I don't think it will hurt the match quality. FTR is a team that I don't believe has been put on the level they deserve, so I think that only reinforces the fact that there will be a three second pose, when FTR is pinned in this match. Will this match reek of Awesomeness? Probably not. Will it make the people in this arena happy for the first time since Game 2 of the Leafs/Panthers series? Probably
Mark Briscoe vs. MJF - Tables N' Thumbtacks match.
Cory: I love Mark Briscoe, but MJF still has a title match in his back pocket, and needs to be kept strong. Mark has never been hurt by losing a match, and this allows them to have a bloody brawl where MJF does something horrible to win. MJF wins and moves on.
Mike: I don't see MJF losing here but I do see him taking a lot of punishment and maybe even the tacks bump.
Richard: If you get to pick the stipulation and your opponent has a guaranteed title shot available, WHY DIDN'T YOU CHOOSE THAT? Since there will be blood and violence in this match, will Jon Moxley and Skye Blue find a way to interfere so they can bleed? Since the title shot is not on the line, that does allow for the potential of MJF losing the match. MJF wrestles Mistico on Friday night in CMLL, so will he make an appearance in Toronto? Mark is so underrated and I would love to see him get a push, but that does not appear to be in the cards. He belongs on the Leafs, but is stuck on the Marlies.
The Hurt Syndicate vs. Ricochet & The Gates of Agony.
Oddly enough, adding Gates of Agony to Ricochet has done a lot for both of them, in my opinion. His as the annoying yapping dog with them as his backup has made them a better act. But then, I like Ricochet’s heel turn and the change to his wrestling style. The Hurt Syndicate lost the title without being pinned, so they need to get revenge on the team that caused them to lose the title. Hurt Syndicate stomps Ricochet into the ground.
Mike: I don't know that this happens, but I feel like Gates of Agony getting a big win here will help their momentum.
Richard: Is this a metaphorical #1 contender match or the Trios title or is it the typical 'match for sake of having a match' that permeates wrestling today? This should be interesting and MVP's involvement will be interesting to watch. He hasn't been in an AEW ring since January (but has had some indie matches since). Ricochet cackles when he cuts promos so I want The Hurt Syndicate to win. Liona and Kaun have benefitted from the alliance with Ricochet so they will probably win.
AEW will broadcast a live Tailgate Brawl at 2 PM Eastern on TNT and HBO Max, featuring Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford & Julia Hart & Skye Blue vs. Willow Nightingale & Mina Shirakawa & Harley Cameron & Queen Aminata.
Cory: I hate to say it, but I am sick to death of these multi-person matches. The formula is worn, they don’t move anything forward and as I have said on audios, they feel like house show matches put in to pad the show rather than anything to move a story forward. And the “money” being won doesn’t add anything to it because it doesn’t play a part in anything moving forward. Flipping a coin, Willow’s team wins.
Mike: I predict chaos. Team Willow wins.
Richard: Does Tony book matches by putting names into a bag and he pulls them out until he gets the "BOOK IT" tile? Does Tony book all of these 8 person tag matches because he is foreshadowing the return of THE OCHO to AEW? Willow is in this match so she will probably win. Harley does something crazy before, during, and after the match.
Katsuyori Shibata vs. Daniel Garcia.
Cory: Garcia just turned heel, and we already have Wheeler Yuta as the guy who takes all the pins for the Death Riders, so I see Garcia winning, probably with Yuta’s help.
Mike: They have to keep building Garcia. He wins.
Richard: This is an interesting matchup, but I am not sure if that is a good thing or not. Garcia has the Mox Riders bubble around him, but is he miserable and sulky yet? Garcia wins. What will Menard do in this match?
Samoa Joe & Powerhouse Hobbs vs. The Workhorsemen.
Cory: Why would this match be any different from any other Workhorsemen match? Joe and Hobbs beat them up and down and get the win.
Mike: Hobbs and Joe with a quick win.
Richard: Good news that Joe and Hobbs hit the Workhorsemen spot on the dart board. This five minute match will go 11 and Joe and Hobbs will win.
