We begin with a video package for the early days of NXT.
Paul Levesque makes his way to the ring.
He says he cannot tell you how good it feels to come home. These three letters are something special. This place, Full Sail, this building, this room, is something special. For every talent who walked out of that video board, for every production person, every staff, and every crew. Every student who was part of this process is special. He says what is really special about this is you. Everyone in this building. Eveyrone at home watching are special. You are why this is here. You are why NXT is stronger than ever. All of you took something that started as a whisper. You turned it into an undeniable roar.
Your passion for this and for all of the talent who did this for passion turned this into a roar. Your passion broke conventions. Your passion allowed for NXT to take over. It is on you. You are the ones who said NXT is the future. You are the ones who said that future was now. Yo uare the ones who stood on your feet and at the top of your lungs, you shouted 'We are NXT'. He says he wants to stand out here for you and say thank you.
Shawn Michaels makes his way to the ring.
He says as he came walking out of that . . . video board, he says they are all thrilled that Paul is here. He is busy selling out Raw and Smackdown and making multi-billion dollar deals. Shawn says him and his superstars are ready to steer this shiip into the future.
Paul tells Shawn that they have knocked it out of the park. You are lighting the world on fire. What if Paul said he wanted to come back.
Shawn says he didn't want this to get uncomfortable. He says they would have a very very big problem.
William Regal's music plays and he makes his way to the ramp.
Regal says he knows how to settle this and there is one way. He says WAR GAMES!!!!!!
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss come out and stand next to Regal on the ramp.
Alexa says she thinks they argue. Charlotte says they are besties. Charlotte tells Shawn and Triple H it doesn't matter who was in charge, the women always ran NXT. The revolution started at Full Sail. Charlotte mentions the Four Horsewomen, Paige, Asuka, Carmella, Alexa Bliss.
Alexa mentions Charlotte. There are so many names. Rhea, Iyo, Ember, and Nia. She says the women have always been the backbone of NXT and that will never change. She says if you aren't down with that, they have two words for you.
Lyra walks up to Tatum in the back and they hug.
Match Number One: Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair versus Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
Alexa and Tatum start things off with their respective dolls in hand. The referee will not allow the dolls to be involved so they hand them over to their partners. They lock up and Tatum sends Alexa tot he mat. Tatum ducks to avoid Alexa and Alexa hangs in the ropes. Alexa with a cross body for a near fall. Tatum escapes Sister Abigail. Alexa with an arm wringer and Tatum does some cartwheels. Alexa with a head scissors take down and Izzi and Flair tag in. Flair offers her hand and Izzi slaps it away. Flair with a chop and Izzi with a kick and she sends Flair into the turnbuckles. Flair sends Izzi into the turnbuckles and she chops Izzi. Izzi with a jaw breaker and she goes for a slam but Flair escapes and she clips Izzi. Alexa with a blockbuster while Flair hits Natural Selection.
Izzi and Tatum go to the floor. Flair mocks Spears and then she applies a side head lock and connects with a shoulder tackle. Flair with a thrust kick. Izzi with a back elbow and shoulder tackle. Izzi sends Flair to the mat and she kicks Flair. Izzi sends Flair face first into the mat. Flair with a Flair Flip and boot. Izzi with a boot and Tatum tags in. Izzi with a drop kick while Tatum traps Flair in the ropes. Tatum gets a near fall. Tatum sends Flair into the turnbuckles and connects with a series of kicks. Izzi tags in and kicks Flair. Tatum tags in and she goes for a suplex but Flair with an inside cradle for a near fall. Tatum with a running forearm and she gets a near fall.
Tatum with an Irish whip and a cross body into the corner. Izzi holds on to add more pressure. Izzi tags in and hits a short arm clothesline for a near fall. Izzi with a shoulder in the corner. Tatum tags in and she applies a rear chin lock. Tatum with a facebuster and Izzi tags in. Flair kicks Izzi and she sends Tatum onto the ramp. Flair with a kick and chops to Izzi. Flair chops Tatum and then Izzi takes a chop. Flair with many chops. Izzi with a boot followed by an enzuigiri from Tatum. Izzi with a Codebreaker for a near fall. Izzi slams Flair's head into the mat. Izzi and Flair exchange slaps and then both go down. Tatum and Alex tag in and Alexa with a drop kick and punches followed by a knee and another drop kick.
Alexa with a Blockbuster for a near fall. Alexa runs into a back elbow and Alexa with an STO. Alexa goes up top but Izzi tries to stop her. Alexa kicks Izzi. Niko gets on the apron but Flair pulls him off. Spears distracts Alexa and Tatum gets her knees up on Twisted Bliss. Tatum gets a near fall and the ropes cannot help her. Tatum with a Psycho Driver for a near fall. Flair and Izzi go to the floor. Tatum misses Alexa when Alexa moves. Alexa with a punch and Sister Abigail for the three count.
Winners: Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss (retain championship)
Zaria tells Sol that could have been them but you hit her with a Sol Snatcher. Sol asks if she can stop herself in midair. Sol brings up that Zaria speared her.
Lainey Reid shows up and tells Sol to worry about facing her at No Mercy.
Candice LeRae shows up and says she will win the match.
Shayna Baszler shows up and she tells everyone to save it. Shayna says she made history holding the title longer than anyone. Fix this. She says she has been a tag champion too. What you have . . . she tells them to apologize and fix it.
We go to commercial.
Match Number Two: Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa versus Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes
Gargano and Hayes start things off and Gargano with a side head lock and Gargano with a rollup. Hayes misses a kick and they go to a standoff. Hayes with a kick and Trick tags in. Trick with a drop kick.and he goes for a slam but Gargano escapes and Ciampa tags in. Ciampa avoids a jumping side kick and Ciampa sends Trick and Hayes to the floor. Gargano with a suicide dive into Hayes and Trick. Ciampa and Trick return to the ring and Ciampa punches Trick from the turnbuckles. Ciampa with a punch to Hayes off the turnbuckles. Trick sends Ciampa to the floor. Trick with a kick and Hayes tags in and hits a springboard leg drop and he gets a near fall. Hayes with a clothesline and a scissors leg drop for a near fall. Hayes with a front face lock and Trick tags in and punches Ciampa.
Trick sends Ciampa to the floor and Trick chops Ciampa. Trick with another chop and they return to the ring. Trick with a hard Irish whip followed by a double thrust to the throat for a near fall. Trick with an Irish whip and Hayes tags in. Hayes with a kick and he runs into a boot. Ciampa with an elbow to Trick but Hayes with a clothesline and he gets a near fall. Trick tags in and Hayes with a snap mare and Trick with a front face lock. Ciampa with a jaw breaker and Trick tries to stay on his feet. Trick with a thrust kick. Ciampa with a reverse DDT and both men are down. Hayes and Gargano tag in and Gargano with clotheslines and an enzuigiri to rick. Gargano with running double knee strikes to Hayes and Trick. Gargano with a clothesline and a bulldog on Trick and Hayes. Gargano goes for a slingshot spear on the ramp but Hayes catches him. Gargano escapes. Gargano sends Hayes into the ring and Gargano with a slingshot spear for a near fall.
Ciampa tags in and Hayes lands on his feet on a belly-to-back suplex. Trick with a jumping side kick and a spin kick to Ciampa. Trick with a flap jack to Gargano. Trick with a pop up uppercut. Hayes makes the tag and he hits La Mistica. Trick is not happy with Hayes and they are good . . . until Trick frowns and he hits a flying clothesline but he leaps over Hayes and takes down Gargano. Hayes with a springboard clothesline with Ciampa on Trick's shoulders. Hayes gets a near fall. Gargano and Trick exchange strikes. Gargano with a super kick. Hayes with a Codebreaker. Ciampa with Project Ciampa on Hayes for a near fall. Trick gets his title belt and the referee takes it. Ciampa with a rollup on Trick and he hits Fairy Tale Ending. Gargano tags in and Hayes pushes Trick out of the way on the knee and super kick combination. Hayes with chops to Ciampa and Gargano. Gargano and Ciampa hit Shatter Machine on Hayes. Ciampa and Gargano with the knee and super kick combination but Trick breaks up the cover.
Ciampa punches Trick and they go to the floor. Miz hits a Skull Crushing Finale on Gargano on the floor and then Hayes hits Nothin But Net for the three count.
Winners: Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes
