Welcome to PWInsider.com's coverage of today's "Big Announcement" from World Wrestling Entertainment.
Joe Tessitore began voicing over as scenes from Las Vegas.
They are at the Fountainbleau Hotel in Vegas.
The banner behind Tessistore has the logos for Wrestlemania 43, Riyadh Season, ESPN and Netflix.
The Wrestlemania logo features the word Riyadh, so that's going to be the city.
Tessistore began running down all the big sports and combat sports events in Las Vegas this week.
Tessitore brought The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels on stage. He then welcomed Charlotte Flair and Bianca Belair on.
They were joined by Stephanie Vaquer and Liv Morgan. Finally, Logan Paul and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins came on stage.
Of course, Paul Levesque was brought out last, introduced as the person who cultivated the growth of the company. Levesque said that since 1985, Wrestlemania has been the pinnacle of sports-entertainment and one of the most important sports franchises of all time. He said that Wrestlemania has grown from its "humble beginnings" on closed circuit from Madison Square Garden to over 200 countries and on ESPN and Netflix.
He said everyone knows they will be back in April 2026 for Las Vegas but today they are discussing the future. He said he wanted to introduce a dear friend and partner Turki Al-Sheikh. Levesque said they already announced the 2026 Royal Rumble will be in Saudi Arabia but today they announce things going to the next level.
Wrestlemania will take place as part of Riyadh Season in 2025 in Saudi Arabia. Levesque said this is a chance to show that the company is a global brand and is popular all over the world.
Undertaker said WWE fans are known for their passion and he believes people will be blown away by the passion of the fans in Saudi Arabia. He believes people will be pleasantly surprised by the kindness and outpouring of love and appreciation for what WWE does. He said the pomp and circumstance of what you expect from WWE will be off the charts in Saudi Arabia.
Tessitore noted Bianca has wrestled there nine times. She said it's been amazing to be part of the hospitality and culture there. She said every time she went, she's seen the changes since she started wrestling there and it's been an honor to be part of the progress and change there. As a woman, it's been special to be part of this.
Levesque said it's hard to put into words to discuss how significant this announcement is and how much it's been special to see the growth and evolution in Saudi Arabia. As much as everyone knows how international they are, this is their first foray into their Super Bowl taking place internationally. He thanked Turki Al-Sheikh, Nick Khan and the fans who have been there time after time for them every time they go to Saudi Arabia. He said it's one of the greatest fan bases on the planet and is an incredible opportunity for them to show what they do. They believe they put on the biggest events and spectacle and in 2027, you can expect something you've never seen before - a level of spectacle like no one has ever seen before.
Turki Al-Sheikh said he wanted to thank the Crown Prince for his support and for WWE. Eight years ago, he met Vince McMahon and Triple H and told them lets change for the future and deliver a big project together. His friend Nick Khan became the WWE President and now he's continuing the legacy of Vince McMahon. He saw the hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars that came to Vegas and it's important they are bringing this to Saudi Arabia is very big for them. He said someone from his office put it out by accident two days ago and pulled it immediately and for two days, his people were crazy and now they know it is true.
There was no official date given for the event.
