Welcome to PWInsider.com's coverage of TNA Impact on AXS TV.
Tonight's episode was dedicated to those who perished on 9/11 twenty-four years ago.
TNA recapped everything that led to tonight's episode.
We are in Minneapolis at the Armory, continuing on the path to Victory Road.
Moose vs. AJ Francis
Tom Hannifan talked up their transition from football to professional wrestling, comparing them to Ernie Ladd and Ron Simmons.
Before they could lock up, Order 4's Mustafa Ali came out and he joined the announcing team.
They faced off with Moose surprising Francis with an early dropkick. Francis went to the floor. Moose followed but was distracted by Ali talking trash. Francis attacked him and drove Moose into the ring apron. When they returned from commercial, Francis was in complete control. He nailed a big boot and a big right hand. He went for a running boot in the corner but Moose slipped out of the ring and pulled Francis to the floor. Moose nailed several chops and ran Francis into the ring steps on the floor. Moose charged but was caught and powerbombed onto the apron outside. The story thus far has been power vs. power.
Francis scored a two count as the crowd chanted to rally Moose. It's been something to watch The System basically turned babyface by the audience. Francis worked over Moose's back but Moose began making a babyface comeback, thanks to fan chants. He and Francis battled with Moose finally nailed a high cross bodyblock off the ropes that the place popped for. Moose charged the corner but Francis pulled the referee into the fray. Moose stopped short but Francis speared him for a two count.
Francis called for Ali to get involved but he ended up nailed and Moose nailed Ali's secret service. Moose speared Francis and scored the pin.
Your winner, Moose!
Francis has really improved so much over the last year that it isn't funny. Once he addressed his health issues, his work has been really damn good. Moose is a much more natural babyface than anyone ever could have expected. Short but solid, fun match.
Moose challenged Mustafa Ali to face him at Victory Road after.
Backstage, Gia Miller asked The System about facing The Nemeths in the main event tonight. Eddie Edwards said the PPV is the first step in Order Four getting what they deserve. They are down a family member due to JDC being attacked but they will be back to full strength soon. They will take out The Nemeths tonight. Alisha Edwards said they can always trust the system.
We are in the Treehouse with The Rascalz. They are excited Trey Miguel is back. They have a four way tonight and if they put their heads together, they can win and one of them can be the top contender for the X-Division title. They couldn't remember Jake Something's name. Entertaining stuff in that '70s Show vein.
Joe Hendry vs. Eric Young
This is their first-ever singles match.
Young cut a promo saying that this was the end of the line for Hendry and after this, people weren't going to believe in him anymore.
Travis Williams attacked Hendry and Young announced it was Williams who was going to wrestle.
Joe Hendry vs. Eric Young Travis Williams
Williams worked over Hendry, who cut him off and nailed a delayed vertical suplex. The referee tossed Eric Young and Icarus out for getting involved. Williams used that distraction to attack Hendry and drill him with punches. He nailed a boomerang clothesline off the ropes for a two count. Williams cinched in a chinlock. Hendry escaped and nailed a suplex, following that up with a Fall Away Slam. Hendry nailed a DVDR and hit The Standing Ovation for the pin.
Your winner, Joe Hendry!
This was fine as a storyline point to leave Young vs. Hendry for a larger platform while also putting the spotlight on Hendry. If and when he goes to WWE full-time, he'll be missed in TNA.
Eric Young admonished Williams after the match and demanded Icarus attack him. When Icarus hesitated and turned to Young, Eric struck him and nailed piledrivers on The Northern Armory.
Matt Cardona cut a promo and blamed Ryan Nemeth for making Cardona look like a liar. He wasn't always ready and lost to Kazarian because Ryan got involved. He said no one likes Nemeth and dared him to stick his nose in Matt's business again.
Victoria Crawford came out and said she was going to host her first edition of her podcast right now. She said her first guest was Gia Miller, who had no idea this was coming. Crawford asked her how it feels to keep someone home with no job and no money. Gia acted confused and Crawford said it was Tessa Blanchard. Gia said if that's the case, Tessa has no one to blame but herself. Crawford began berating her. Gia said she doesn't have time for this and she's not a in-ring competitor and she was attacked, so what did she expect the company to do. Crawford said that Gia should have shown forgiveness. Crawford should have gone to Santino and gotten her unsuspended. Gia said this wasn't her fault and Crawford needed to stop. Jody Threat came out to defend Gia. Crawford ended the segment but said she would be back every week.
Myron Reed vs. Zach Wentz vs, Trey Miguel vs. Jake Something - Winner earns X-Division Championship match.
X-Division Champion Leon Slater is at ringside for commentary.
Lots of fast paced action. The Rascalz all triple-teamed Something with a flurry of moves. Something kept battling to his feet. The Rascalz nailed a series of dives but he still stayed on his feet. They then hit a triple tope suicida at once, which finally took him down. That was clever as a way to showcase how powerful Something is.
With Something down, The Rascalz all battled each other. Something returned and savaged them, scoring several two counts. The Rascalz took out Jake and began battling each other again. Something nailed a Black Hole Slam on Trey for a two count but Wentz broke up the pinfall. Wentz nailed a springboard knee strike and a cutter for a two count on Something. Wentz was pulled out by Trey, allowing Myron Reed to hit a 450 splash off the top and scored the pinfall on Something for the pin.
Your winner, Myron Reed!
Reed will challenge Leon Slater for the X-Division Championship at Victory Road.
The injury Report

Jody Threat - Bruising but cleared.
The Northern Armory are being evaluated.
Backstage, Kazarian offered Jake Something some "friendly advice" which was that Jake is in his own way because he thinks brute strength is all there is. He said he's going to be the TNA and TNA International Champion. He asked Jake if he wanted to watch history or be part of history. He said if Jake aligns with him, Kazarian will give him all the keys he needs to be successful and asks him if he wants to finally be something, then walked off, leaving Jake to consider his offer.
Jessie McKay vs. Heather by Elegance
Heather gained the advantage early, cinching in a side chinlock. McKay battled to her feet and drove Heather backwards into the corner. She nailed several clotheslines and strikes. Heather cut her off and scored several pinfalls. McKay nailed a back elbow and a big boot for a two count. Heather was placed on the ropes for a potential superplex. Heather tried to fight her off and shoved McKay back into the ring. She snapped McKay's neck on the ropes. Heather went for a springboard moonsault but McKay pulled her knees up. The Iceman distracted McKay allowing Heather to nail her and score the pin with her feet on the ropes.
Your winner, Heather by Elegance!
The Elegance Brand attacked McKay. Cassie Lee made the save.
Santino Marella came out and said that M by Elegance will face Cassie Lee after the commercial break.
M by Elegance vs. Cassie Lee
M, who has been fleeing from Lee during the commercial, caught her with a kick and nailed several stomps. She nailed a running boot in the corner that looked like it hardly hit, in the corner. She nailed a series of kicks in the corner. It was all M on offense early on. M distracted herself talking trash to Jesse McKay on the outside, allowing Cassie to begin to make a comeback. M cut her off and drilled her head into the mat multiple times. M used a surfboard to try and wear Cassie down but she escaped and made a comeback, nailing a kick to the face and a series of clotheslines. Cassie nailed a series of moves but M kicked out at the last second. Heather nailed Cassie while the referee was distracted but was nailed by Jessie. M was nailed with The Spiral and scored the pin.
Your winner, Cassie Lee!
They aired a Steve Maclin vignette. As a Marine, holding the line isn't a phrase. It means life or death. 20 years later, nothing has changed. He's defended the International title against so many, because he's the one who holds the line with his blood, sweat and tears. If Frankie Kazarian wants to insult his military career, his opinion doesn't mean a thing. Maclin is the present and future of TNA. Kazarian can claim to be the king but he knows the truth is his time is running out. Kazarian will be King Nothing but Maclin will be the same old Jarhead. Really good.
The Conceirge was upset with Santino Marella about what happened with The IInspiration. He demanded a stipulation at Victory Road with Ash by Elegance vs. Masha Slamovich. He made it a No DQ Match by Elegance with Indi Hartwelll as the guest referee. Heather & M will defend against The IInspiration at the PPV as well. Concierge's reactions here as he kept making everything worse for his charges was pretty funny.
They recapped the latest with Trick Williams in NXT.
Mike Santana was coming to the ring for a bout but was attacked by Williams in the crowd. He brought Santana to the ringside area, where Santana fought back. Security separated them.
Brian Myers & Eddie Edwards with Alisha Edwards vs. Nic and Ryan Nemeth
Nic and Myers wresrled back and forth early on, going back and forth. Nemeth gained control but was shot off into the ropes, where he was hit with an armdrag and hiptoss. Eddie tagged in and drilled Nemeth with a hard chop. The Sysyem tagged in and out, working over Nemeth. Ryan tried to intercede but both Nemeths were tossed to the floor as TNA went to commercial.
When they returned, Eddie was shown to have hit the ring post during a commercial but made a comeback. Myers tagged in but was snapped on the ropes. Nic came off with a flying elbow from the top rope. The Nemeths worked over Myers as they tagged in and out. Myers escaped and dropped Ryan across the top rope. Edwards scored the hot tag and cleaned house. He nailed an overhead belly to belly and then hit a top rope rana on Nic Nemeth for a two count.
Edwards went for a Tiger Driver but Nemeth escaped and used a sunset flip, then a Famouser for two count. Edwards and Nic took out their opponents' partners, then battled each other. Nemeth was drilled with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a two count. Myers nailed a Cactus Clothesline on Ryan. Order Four ran out but Edwards nailed them. Nemeth scored Danger Zone on Edwards and attained the three count.
Your winners, The Nemeths!
Ryan announced they were invoking their contractually obligated Tag Team title rematch and would challenge Matt and Jeff Hardy next week.
The Hardys came to the ring as referees got in between the two teams. The Nemeths went to the floor as the champs came into the ring.
That was all for this week!
