National Wrestling Alliance Stars Excited to Return to Chicago's Riot Fest Music Festival
The National Wrestling Alliance continues its rock ‘n wrestling connection, returning to Chicago’s Riot Fest. Stars of NWA Powerrr, broadcasting Tuesdays at 8pm and 11pm EST on Roku Sports, compete Sept. 19-21 between performances by music’s top names.
Live pro wrestling matches again highlight the three-day music festival featuring acts ranging from Green Day, Blink 182 and Weezer to “Weird” Al Yankovic and The Beach Boys. This marks the second-year-in-a-row Riot Fest has partnered with the National Wrestling Alliance and NWA Powerrr on Roku for this massive, weekend-long event.
“Riot Fest is one of the most electric weekends of the year for the National Wrestling Alliance,” says NWA World Television Champion Bryan Idol. “Rock music and the action, excitement and stars of NWA Powerrr on Roku is a perfect fit!”
“People who’ve not seen live wrestling before come up after saying they never realized wrestling is so much fun,” shares NWA star Natalia Markova, calling last year’s Riot Fest “a blast.” “Many have started watching NWA Powerrr on Roku, and that makes me so happy!”
“It’s three days of badasses on the stage and in the ring,” says “Thrillbilly” Silas Mason, No. 1 contender to the NWA World’s Heavyweight title. “And ‘Big Daddy Thrill’ — the biggest badass of them all and biggest star of NWA Powerrr on Roku — is gonna be front and center for all of it!”
Idol, Markova and Mason are already announced to compete. They will be joined by NWA World Junior Heavyweight and U.S. Tag Team Champion Alex Taylor, Kylie Paige, and more exciting stars seen each Tuesday on NWA Powerrr on Roku.
The National Wrestling Alliance’s weekly flagship broadcast NWA Powerrr is now available on Roku Sports across the U.S. and Canada. Roku allows users to easily access and stream content from movies and TV shows to live TV, news, and sports free-of-charge.
NWA Powerrr airs Tuesdays, 8PM and 11PM EST on The Roku Channel and again Saturday afternoons. Roku’s Wrestling Central fast channel broadcasts classic NWA content and WOW: Women of Wrestling 24/7.
