TKO IS ALL ABOUT THE MONEY, VPN STEPH, MERCEDES ALL OVER THE WORLD AND MORE

With TKO being all about the money, do you see them closing up shop in Connecticut and moving WWE to a more tax friendly state like Nevada?

They chose to incorporate in New York so I don’t think where WWE is located will factor in to it.  Keep in mind, UFC is based in my hometown of Las Vegas so they could always make that their primary state if they choose to.

Regarding Mercedes (insert today’s number of belts here) Mone: what exactly do the various smaller promotions get from this? Think of it this way: IIRC, one of the promotions is in Poland, but their champion is based in the US and isn’t exactly going to show up in Gdansk/Wroclaw/wherever to defend it. As the promoter, you now have an absentee champion and can’t use a title defense to market your promotion. Surely it’s counter productive?

The promoters like to say that they have a big name champion and get occasional matches from the person.  Would you rather have Mone as your champ or a woman most people had never heard of?  It’s a matter of preference.

Interested to note Dave’s comments on Stephanie’s advocacy of VPN use. I don’t know offhand what, if any, position Stephanie holds as an office bearer or paid servant of WWE/TKO, but wouldn’t ESPN be unhappy at her doing this and essentially undermining their product, especially as WWE actually publicizes her podcast on their programming?

Steph is affiliated with WWE through her podcast (and her birthright obviously).  I have heard ESPN was not happy about her promoting VPN use, as they shouldn’t be.  It will be interesting to see if she goes down that road again going forward.

Certain prominent are actively promoting using a VPN to access paid wrestling content as a potentially cheaper option than having to sign up for the ESPN platform, or pay the full price for an AEW PPV.  Since using a VPN is entirely legal, do you condone using this method of accessing wrestling content, or not?

It’s legal and I condone it.  I just don’t think Steph should be promoting it!
