OH SPECIAL EPISODE RECAP FOR 9/5/25

- ROH Death Before Dishonor 2025 highlights are shown.

- Highlights are shown from yesterday’s edition of ROH TV.

The Frat House (Preston Vance, Cole Karter & Griff Garrison) w/Jacked Jameson vs. AR Fox & The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett)

The match begins with Fox and Taven taking out a bunch of people with suicide dives, Bennett gets Vance in the ring and he nails him with chops. Taven tags in and he double teams Vance alongside Bennett, Taven then hits a cornered Vance with an avalanche. Vance fights back and Taven nails him with a drop kick, Jameson hops on the ring apron and Garrison pops a distracted Taven with a right. Taven falls out of the ring and he gets jumped by the whole Frat House, Frat House catches a diving Fox and they propel him into the barricade. Taven is tossed back into the ring and Vance drops him with a delayed vertical suplex for a near fall, Garrison tags in and he nails a cornered Taven with strikes. Garrison drops Taven with a hard Irish whip into the corner, Karter tags in and he immediately tags Vance into the match before triple teaming Taven. Karter tags back in and he stomps on a downed Taven, Vance tags in and he nails a trapped Taven with strikes.

Taven fights back and he drops Vance with an enziguri, Fox tags in and he quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team. Fox nails Vance with a drop kick before dropping Karter with a cutter, Fox then hits Karter with a double stomp before diving out of the ring onto Vance. Garrison gets control of Fox before tossing him into the ring, Fox recovers and he drops Garrison with a sidewinder suplex for a near fall. Bennett tags in and he gets laid out by Vance for a near fall, Karter tags in and Bennett clears the ring before Karter hits him with a power slam. Karter goes to the top rope and he misses a 450 splash attempt, Fox tags in and The Kingdom first hit Karter with Rockstar Supernova. Fox then hits Karter with a 450 splash for a three count.

Winners: AR Fox & The Kingdom (Matt Taven & Mike Bennett)

- Shane Taylor Promotions are shown celebrating backstage after ROH Death Before Dishonor 2025, Taylor says he is happy they won the ROH Six Man Tag Team Champions and he expects to win more championships in the future.

- Mark Sterling gets the microphone before the next match and he talks about the injury he suffered on last night’s ROH TV show, Sterling says he has a contingency plan going forward.

The Premier Athlete Brand (Ariya Daivari & Tony Nese) w/Mark Sterling vs. Spanish Announce Project (Angelico & Serpentico)

The match begins with Angelico and Nese taking turns attacking each other’s arms, Nese grabs the ear of Angelico while backing him into the corner. Angelico avoids a flip from Nese before tripping him up and then landing a drop kick, Angelico then drops Nese with a drop toe hold before tagging Serpentico in. Serpentico nails the arm of Nese with a top rope double stomp, Serpentico and Angelico then double team Nese for another near fall. Nese nails Serpentico with a throat strike before tagging Daivari in, Serpentico drops Daivari with a few arm drags and some strikes. Nese interferes and the distraction allows Daivari to drop Serpentico, Daivari drops Serpentico again before landing a knee drop for a near fall. Daivari traps Serpentico in the ropes so Nese can choke him while the ref was distracted, Nese tags in and he nails a trapped Serpentico with a leg drop for a near fall. Nese then rakes the face of Serpentico along the top rope, Daivari interferes and attacks Serpentico while the ref was distracted.

Nese goes for a triangle moonsault and Serpentico gets out of the way, Daivari interferes and Serpentico drops him. Daivari tags in and Serpentico avoids him before tagging Angelico in, Angelico quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team. Angelico nails Daivari with a multiple strike combination followed by a head kick for a near fall, Serpentico tags in and he nails a downed Daivari with a swanton bomb for a near fall. A brawl breaks out between all four competitors, Serpentico nails Nese with a super kick followed by a rana. Serpentico sends Nese out of the ring before nailing Daivari with a cutter for a near fall, Serpentico goes back to the top rope and Sterling hops on the ring apron. A woman hops into the ring and she nails Serpentico with a choke slam, Daivari pins Serpentico and gets the three count.

Winners: The Premier Athlete Brand (Ariya Daivari & Tony Nese) w/Mark Sterling

After the match, Mark Sterling introduces the new woman as the contingency plan.

- Highlights are shown of Queen Aminata defeating Taya Valkyrie at ROH Death Before Dishonor 2025.

Pure Rules Match
Rachael Ellering vs. Deonna Purrazzo

The match begins with Purrazzo dropping Ellering with a hair pull, Purrazzo looks for a drop toe hold and she causes  Ellering to use her first rope break. Ellering blocks a kick from Purrazzo before landing some strikes, Purrazzo goes down and Ellering pops her with a basement drop kick. Ellering then hits Purrazzo with an avalanche followed by a senton for a near fall, Ellering looks for a suplex and Purrazzo defends while attacking her arm. Purrazzo gets Ellering down while looking for an arm bar, Ellering gets free and she drops Purrazzo with a forearm strike. Purrazzo recovers and she nails Ellering’s arm with a knee strike, Purrazzo goes for the arm bar again and Ellering gets to the ropes for her second rope break. Purrazzo goes back to attacking the injured arm of Ellering, Purrazzo gets Ellering down again while working over her injured arm. Ellering fights back and she cracks Purrazzo with strikes followed by shoulder thrusts, Ellering then hits Purrazzo with a gut wrench suplex followed by the MD Collapse for a near fall.

Purrazzo escapes the grasp of Ellering and Purrazzo uses her first rope break, Ellering then hits Purrazzo with a Bosswoman Slam for a near fall. Ellering gets Purrazzo up and Purrazzo escapes before getting her back in the arm bar, Purrazzo transitions to the Venus De Milo and Ellering gives it up.

Winner: Deonna Purrazzo

After the match, Trish Adora comes out for her match and she walks past Deonna Purrazzo.

Pure Rules Match
Trish Adora vs. Ashley Vox

The match begins with Vox immediately forcing Adora to use her first rope break, Adora gets mad and she nails Vox with some strikes. Adora immediately attacks the arm of Vox before sending her shoulder first into the mat below, Adora drops down and snaps back the injured arm of Vox. Adora then causes Vox to use her first rope break, Adora keeps Vox grounded while stomping away on her. Adora misses a charge into the corner and Vox nails her with a shotgun drop kick, Vox gets Adora in a modified chicken wing and Adora counters with a backpack stunner. Adora keeps Vox grounded while pulling back on both of her arms, Adora gets Vox in a double hammerlock and Vox taps out.

Winner: Trish Adora

After the match, Trish Adora attacks Ashley Vox with a short arm shoulder tackle.

- Johnny TV & MxM Collection are shown outside of the 2300 Arena after ROH Death Before Dishonor 2025, TV says their seed is undefeated after recently beating Dark Order.

Alex Zayne vs. Johnny TV w/MxM Collection & Taya Valkyrie

The match begins with TV poking the eyes of Zayne after a handshake, Zayne fights back and he nails TV with some strikes. Zayne gets TV on the top rope and he follows him up there, TV rakes the eyes of Zayne again before dropping him with an ear slap. TV then hits Zayne with a drop kick followed by a knee strike for a near fall, TV sends Zayne out of the ring and his cohorts can work him over. TV leaves the ring and he sends Zayne back first into the edge of the ring, TV then power bombs Valkyrie onto Zayne. TV gets Zayne back in the ring before getting a near fall on a pin attempt, TV corners Zayne before landing a variety of strikes. TV grounds Zayne while holding him in a chin lock, Zayne gets free and TV nails him with a disaster kick. TV goes to kiss his wife and Zayne attacks him with strikes and a discus clothesline, Zayne then drops TV with a flipping leg drop. TV fights back and Zayne gets him off the ropes with a rana, Zayne then hits TV with a flipping side slam for a near fall.

MxM Collection get TV out of the ring during a Zayne pin attempt and Zayne takes them out with a suicide dive, TV then hits Zayne with a super kick. TV gets Zayne back in the ring before Zayne hits him with a Taco Driver, Valkyrie distracts the ref and MxM Collection sprays seed into Zayne’s eyes so TV can roll him up for a three count.

Winner: Johnny TV w/MxM Collection & Taya Valkyrie

- Lexi Nair interviews The Premier Athletes, Mark Sterling says his contingency plan’s name is Stori Denali and she is officially a part of The Premier Athletes.

Jordan Oliver vs. The Beast Mortos

The match begins with Mortos attacking the arm of Oliver and Oliver does the same to him, Mortos then gets Oliver in a headlock before dropping him with a shoulder tackle. Mortos follows up by leveling Oliver with a pounce, Mortos stands Oliver up before dropping him with a right. Mortos misses a charge to the corner and he still manages to nail Oliver with a head kick, Mortos drops Oliver again for a near fall. Oliver fights back and he drops Mortos with a springboard cross body block, Oliver then hits Mortos with a drop kick followed by a springboard rana. Oliver then hits a leaping Mortos with a side slam for a near fall, Mortos fights back and Oliver nails his leg with a stunner before landing a dragon screw leg whip. Oliver follows up with a delayed German suplex for a near fall, Mortos kicks Oliver away from him before landing a headbutt. Mortos then hits Oliver with a pop up Samoan drop for a near fall, Mortos looks for a piledriver and Oliver defends by landing a few strikes.

Oliver then drops Mortos after  landing a drop kick to his leg, Oliver then hits Mortos with a stunner from out of nowhere. Mortos recovers and he nails a charging Oliver with a back breaker followed by a lariat, Mortos then hits Oliver with a piledriver for a three count.

Winner: The Beast Mortos

- The Outrunners are backstage and they say it is a mistake of anybody counts them out, The Outrunners say they will get back into title contention and get revenge on Shane Taylor Promotions.

The Don Callis Family (Lance Archer & Hechicero) vs. LSG & Beef

The match begins with Beef attacking Archer before the bell sounded, Archer quickly recovers and he drops Beef before landing follow up strikes. Archer traps Beef in the ropes while landing cross face strikes, Archer then hits Beef with a side Russian leg sweep. Beef fights back and he nails Archer with a drop kick followed by some strikes, Archer recovers and he drops Beef with a cross body block. Hechicero tags in and he trades strikes with Beef, LSG tags in and he nails Hechicero with some jabs. Hechicero trips up a leaping LSG and he attacks his back, Hechicero traps LSG in the corner while landing strikes. LSG avoids a charging Hechicero before landing an atomic drop followed by an enziguri, LSG misses an avalanche before Hechicero drops him with a flapjack for a near fall. Beef hits the ring and Archer levels him with a choke slam, Hechicero and Archer then hit LSG with an assisted DDT. Hechicero then hits LSG with a sit out power bomb for a three count.

Winners: The Don Callis Family (Lance Archer & Hechicero)

- A video package airs highlighting Athena’s 1000+ day reign as ROH Women’s World Champion.

Pure Rules Match
Matt Mako vs. Josh Woods

The match begins with Woods scoring a few takedowns on Mako, Mako gets free and he goes for an arm bar. Mako gets free and he gets into a chain wrestling session with Woods, Mako goes for a hip toss and Woods counters with an ankle lock that forces Mako to use his first rope break. Mako catches Woods in a head scissors and Woods gets free before taking Mako down, Mako gets up and he drops Woods with a closed fist strike. Mako gets Woods in the corner before choking him, Woods stays down and Mako nails him with more strikes. Mako goes for a cross arm bar and Woods finds a way to get free, Woods immediately gets Mako in an ankle lock before transitioning to a release German suplex. Mako fights back and he nails Woods with a striking combination, Mako then drops Woods with his own release German suplex.

Mako follows up by nailing Woods with a head kick for a near fall, Mako misses a spin kick in the corner and Woods nails him with a modified GTS for a near fall. Mako and Woods have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring until they both go down, Woods then hits Mako with a spinning suplex into the corner for a three count.

Winner: Josh Woods

Aaron Solo vs. Hologram

The match begins with Solo cracking Hologram with some strikes as the bell sounds, Hologram misses an arm drag and then he trades arm drags with Solo. Solo and Hologram exchange roll ups for a few near falls, Solo attacks Hologram from behind and he nails some strikes in the corner. Hologram fights back and he drops Solo with a rana, Solo leaves the ring and Hologram follows him out there. Solo tricks Hologram and he takes him out with a dive, Solo sends Hologram into the barricade before getting him back into the ring. Solo nails a downed Hologram with a knee drop for a near fall, Solo follows up by hitting Hologram with a snap suplex. Solo stands Hologram up before landing some strike and then choking him along the middle rope, Solo then drops Hologram with a back suplex. Hologram fights back and Solo quickly drops him for a near fall, Solo keeps Hologram grounded while trying to remove his mask.

Hologram fights back and he drops Solo before landing a double stomp, Solo leaves the ring and Hologram takes him out with a suicide dive. Hologram gets Solo back into the ring before landing a hammerlock face buster for a near fall, Solo recovers and he nails Hologram with a pump handle suplex for a near fall. Hologram trips up a charging Solo before trading some kicks with him, Solo eventually drops Hologram with a spinning head kick. Solo goes to the top rope and Hologram nails him with a knee strike as he leaps off, Hologram then hits Solo with a spinning sit out slam for a three count.

Winner: Hologram

Proving Ground Match
Bandido (ROH World Champion) vs. Lee Johnson w/Blake Christian

The match begins with Johnson attacking Bandido with strikes during the initial handshake, Bandido recovers and he drops Johnson with an arm drag. Johnson backs Bandido into the corner before missing an avalanche attempt, Bandido then nails Johnson with an enziguri. Christian distracts Bandido and that allows Johnson to knock him to the arena floor, Johnson leaves the ring and he drops Bandido on the hardest part of the ring. Johnson gets back in the ring and he lands some strikes, Johnson then chokes Bandido along the middle rope. Johnson then traps Bandido in the corner while landing strikes, Johnson drops Bandido before landing a sliding lariat for a near fall. Bandido fights back and Johnson drops him with a back suplex for a near fall, Bandido fights back again and he boots Johnson in the face.

Bandido then nails Johnson with a top rope twisting body block for a near fall, Bandido goes for the X Knee and Johnson avoids it before trading clotheslines with him. Bandido eventually drops Johnson with a lariat, Christian interferes again and Bandido takes him out. Johnson escapes the grasp of Bandido before landing a knee strike followed by a brain buster for a near fall, Johnson goes to the top rope and he misses his double stomp before landing a super kick on Bandido. Bandido recovers and he nails Johnson with a pop up cutter followed by the X Knee for a three count.

Winner: Bandido

After the match, Blake Christian hits Bandido with the Lethal Injection.
