TNA XPLOSION RECAP FOR 9/5/25
- Brian Johnson gets the microphone before the first match of the night to say that he will be taking TNA to the promised land, Johnson says he is from the greatest city in the world in Philadelphia.
Jake Painter vs. Brian Johnson
The match begins with Johnson backing Painter into the corner before missing a chop, Painter then trades some chops with Johnson as he exits the corner. Johnson drops Painter while landing some follow up strikes, Painter recovers and he drops Johnson with a hip toss. Painter then hits Johnson with a corner spear followed by an up kick and more arm drags, Painter also nails Johnson with a modified back breaker. Johnson rolls to the ring apron before clapping the ears of Painter, Painter fights back and Johnson trips him up before landing strikes. Johnson follows up by dropping Painter with a hard Irish whip into the corner followed by short arm clotheslines for a near fall, Johnson keeps Painter grounded while applying a chin lock to him. Painter gets free and Johnson blocks his backstabber attempt, Painter recovers and he drops Johnson with some clotheslines followed by a back body drop.
Painter then hits a cornered Johnson with a running head kick, Painter then hits Johnson with a double underhook back breaker for a near fall. Painter misses a charge in the corner and he attempts to roll up Painter with his feet on the ropes, Painter rolls up Johnson and Johnson counters with his own roll up with a handful of tights for a three count.
Winner: Brian Johnson

- Around The Ring w/Gia Miller is next and her guests tonight are Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee. Lee says she has known Brookside since she moved to the United States, Lee also says Brookside’s dad was her first ever coach. Brookside tells the story of what they did during Lee’s recent birthday party celebration, Brookside says their bond as a team has started taken shape outside of the wrestling ring. Lee then gifts Brookside with her own fan, Lee teaches Brookside how to properly use it to end the interview.
Mance Warner vs. The Home Town Man
The match begins with Warner backing Man into the corner before landing chops, Man gets free and he sings his theme song with the crowd. Man then cracks Warner with some strikes of his own, Warner goes down in the corner and Man stomps away on him. Man then crushes Warner with a running hip attack, Man mounts Warner in the corner while landing strikes. Man then drops Warner with a right and Warner leaves the ring, Man follows up by taking Warner out with a dive. Man gets Warner back in the ring before going to the top rope, Warner pokes Man in the eye before landing a Tower Of London for a near fall. Warner stands Man up before dropping him with a big boot for a near fall, Man powers up while Warner lands more shots on him. Man fights back and he drops Warner multiple times with clotheslines, Man then slams Warner before landing an elbow drop. Man climbs the ropes again and he lands a high cross body for another near fall, Man looks for the Hometown Slice and Warner defends before landing a lariat.
Warner follows up by hitting Man with a spine buster for a near fall, Warner goes for a knee strike and Man avoids it before rolling him up for a three count.
Winner: The Home Town Man
After the match, Mance Warner attacks The Home Town Man and he levels him with a running knee strike followed by an elevated DDT.
