OVW OVERDRIVE RECAP FOR 9/2/25
Tommy Mars vs. Dustin Jackson
The match begins with Jackson scoring a takedown on Mars, Jackson gets Mars in a headlock before dropping him with a shoulder tackle. Mars fights back and Jackson drops him with a double chop, Jackson drops Mars again before landing an elbow drop on him. Jackson follows up by landing a gut wrench slam on Mars, Mars climbs the ropes and he drops Jackson with a DDT on the top rope followed by a springboard forearm strike. Mars keeps Jackson grounded while landing some strikes, Jackson then eats a knee to the midsection from Mars for a near fall. Mars holds Jackson down while pulling back on both arms, Mars releases the hold before landing more strikes on Jackson. Mars then applies a chin lock to a downed Jackson, Jackson gets free and he nails Mars with a clothesline followed by a standing drop kick. Jackson climbs the ropes and Mars meets him up there, Jackson knocks Mars off the ropes before landing a frog splash for a three count.

- Linda Kay welcomes us back to OVW Overdrive and she announces that Jessica White is still out on assignment. Kay then previews what we will be seeing on this edition of OVW Overdrive.
- Tony Evans gets the microphone before the next match and he says he will prove that he can win a match without any help.
Scorpious vs. Tony Evans
The match begins with Evans tripping up Scorpious before rolling him up, Scorpious fights back and he drops Evans with a shoulder tackle. Scorpious follows up by nailing Evans with a drop kick, Evans looks for a test of strength and he attacks Scorpious with strikes instead. Evans mounts a downed Scorpious while landing more strikes, Evans backs Scorpious into the corner while landing shoulder thrusts to his midsection. Scorpious fights back and Evans avoids his drop kick, Evans keeps Scorpious grounded while choking him. Evans keeps Scorpious grounded while applying a modified chin lock to him, Scorpious gets free and Evans drops him with a hair pull. Evans then nails a downed Scorpious with a basement drop kick, Evans also stomps away on a downed Scorpious. Scorpious escapes a suplex attempt before landing a few strikes on Evans, Scorpious then hits Evans with a few clotheslines. Scorpious goes for a Buckshot Lariat and Evans catches him in an ankle lock to force a tap out.

Jay 3 vs. Jake Painter
The match begins with Painter going after the arm of 3 and 3 does the same to him, Painter gets free and he gets 3 in a headlock. 3 gets free and Painter drops him with a shoulder tackle, 3 avoids a hip toss before landing an arm drag on Painter. 3 follows up by dropping Painter with a rana followed by a drop kick for a near fall, 3 looks for a piledriver and Painter counters with a back body drop. Painter follows up by leveling 3 with a clothesline, Painter mounts a downed 3 while landing strikes. Painter follows up by dropping 3 with a hard Irish whip into the corner, Painter keeps 3 grounded while applying a chin lock to him. 3 gets free and he cracks Painter with a few strikes before eating a back breaker for a near fall, 3 fights back again and he sends a charging Painter into the ropes. 3 follows up by dropping Painter multiple times before landing a pele kick, 3 then hits Painter with a knee strike. 3 sets up for a suplex and Painter counters with another back breaker, Painter then hits 3 with a third back breaker for a three count.
Winner: Jake Painter
- Linda Kay interviews The Trifecta (Jake Lawless, Ashton Adonis & Brandon Berretta), who do their own introductions for the interview. Adonis says that they sent Jack Vaugh and Donovan Cecil back into obscurity, Lawless says people want to know why he joined The Trifecta and he says that all of his past tag team partners have turned on him. Berretta and Adonis say Lawless was disrespected by past tag team partners, Berretta and Adonis discuss their past encounters against Lawless before joining forces with him. Lawless says The Trifecta are strictly business and they are what champions in OVW should be, Adonis says none of them will lose their championships while competing in OVW. Berretta talks about his past with Lawless before coming to OVW, Berretta says The Trifecta will be the best in OVW.

Los Desafios (Jota Peso & Maximo Suave) vs. The Doom Syndicate (Star Rider & Icon Lee)
The match begins with Suave attacking the arm of Lee before tagging Peso in, Peso goes after the arm of Lee before tagging Suave back in. Lee cracks Suave with a few strikes and Suave drops him before landing a leg drop to the injured arm, Peso tags back in and he double teams Lee alongside Suave. Rider interferes and he gets double teamed as well, Peso traps Lee in the corner while landing chops. Lee fights back and he manages to tag Rider in, Rider immediately attacks the arm of Peso before dropping him with a back elbow strike. Lee tags back in and he stomps away on a downed Peso, Peso fights back and Lee rakes his eyes before landing a chop block. Rider tags back in and he nails a cornered Peso with strikes, peso fights back again and he rolls up Rider for a near fall. Rider recovers and he traps Peso in a chin lock, Peso gets free after landing a jaw breaker on Rider.
Lee tags in and he drops Peso with a knee strike before getting him back in a chin lock, Rider tags back in and he kicks the injured arm of Peso. Peso escapes a suplex from Rider before tagging Suave into the match, Suave quickly starts cleaning house against the opposing team. Suave and Peso double team both opponents as we go to a commercial break, we return from the break to see Suave working over the arm of Rider. Suave gets distracted by Lee and Rider attacks him with a chop block, Lee tags in and he attacks the knee of a cornered Suave. Rider illegally tags into the match as the ref was arguing with Peso and he gets a near fall on a pin attempt, Rider hits Suave with multiple knee drops to the back. Lee tags in and he nails a cornered Suave with some strikes, Lee drops Suave before landing a knee strike for a near fall. Rider tags in and he stomps away on a downed Suave, Suave fights back and Lee interferes while the ref was arguing with Peso.
Lee tries interfering again and Suave drops him before landing a sidewalk slam on Rider, Peso tags in and he starts cleaning house against the opposing team. Peso hits Rider with a standing shooting star press before tagging Suave in, Suave and Peso double team Lee before hitting him with a double knee strike. Suave and Peso then hit Rider with a Van Dam, Lee distracts the ref to prevent a pinfall attempt. Lee interferes as the ref was dealing with Suave to hit Peso with a cutter, Rider then hits Peso with a top rope double stomp for a three count.
