We take a look back at John Cena and Logan Paul from last week's Smackdown.
We see Logan Paul arriving at the building and he makes his way to the ring.
Logan says that John Cena thinks he is a parasite. It sounds like you feel the same way. He says he doesn't know if the Frenchies know what he is saying but he will stick to English because he is an American. You don't have a problem with Logan Paul, you have a problem with change. He says he is not a parasite. Logan says he is a disruptor. He says he was put in this ring to shake the core of this company and he has. After he signed with WWE, what happened? He put them on Netflix. He brought them to ESPN. The value that he brings to the company is incalculable but it is over $6 billion. He tells TKO 'Thank you'.
Logan says all he does is add. He put Prime in the WWE. He says to look around. WWE is becoming the WWMe. He says he is the future of this company. The person who represents the outdated is John Cena. Logan says John told him to bring his A game to Paris. The audacity. Logan says things in French. He tells John to bring his A game. He says he will push John Cena to his limits. He says John is an impostor. When he beats John Cena, he will show all of you that he is the future of this company because wrestling is changing. Logan says he is wrestling. If you don't change, you will be left behind.
John Cena's music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
John tells Logan he is stupid. He says you can't do it all alone. If we don't have the fans, we don't have a show. They are not going to get left behind, they set the pace. We are here to make it a good time. They hold the keys if you are going to be party of the family and have more than 25 matches. John says he sees so much potential and that is why everyone is angry. You say you want to take this to places you have never seen before. You won't put in any effort to learn what they do around here. Cena says if this young man did his homework, he would understand he is not a disruptor, he is a wannabe. You are standing in the ring with one of the original disruptors. A man who wore jorts and sneakers when he was told he would be fired if he did. The man who rapped his way to Wrestlemania. You knock out people with brass knuckles and he did that 20 years ago and they said 'Word Life'.
This Logan Paul is nothing more than a dime store John Cena. You say you brought us Netflix and ESPN. You say you are why they get these accolades. Your influence is not what it was and we all know it. John says he saw a list of the top 25 influencers in the world. Your boys were on there. Your name was nowhere to be found. It is time he talked to Logan as a friend to make him face facts. You did videos at 12 and made diss tracks at 18. When you make the headlines at 30, it was for the wrong reasons. You are not here to save wrestling, you are here to save your ass with more income streams. These people do not fear change. They see through fake.
Cena apologizes to the crowd in French. Logan responds in French and they don't appreciate what he said as much as what John said.
John says his French isn't too polished, but he says he is real. He says he is not a gimmick. Until you put your heart into this, they will see you are a gimmick and see through fake. We give you opportunity after opportunity and you give us no respect. John says this is a teachable moment. He wants to know what respect is.
Cena says respect in our family is when you are having a bad day and say something hurtful, they know you are having a bad day and you give them a pass. Respect is the ability for the next time you see that person, is to say I'm sorry, I was having a bad day. Thank you for being there when he had a bad day.
John goes up to the fan he insulted earlier in the year and he apologizes to him.
Logan says this is turning in a charity case. He tells the professional pretender to wrap it up.
Cena says that Logan asked for this match, dickhead. He says you have the Greatest of All Time against John Cena. You have 24 hours to whip yourself into the best you have been. If you don't bring it on Sunday, wrestling will ruin you.
Cathy Kelley is with The Street Profits and B-Fab.
She asks them about their match against Carmelo Hayes and Miz.
Dawkins says they are one step closer to the titles and the dub is theirs. Ford says Hayes is not HIM and Miz is ALLLLLLLLLLL talk. Fab says the Street Profits have been running the division for 8 years.
Bo Dallas shows up and he asks if the blood runs through each other's veins. Are you family because the Wyatts are. When you come to them and fail, you will really find out if he is your brother.
Match Number One: Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss versus Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre for the Women's Tag Team Championship
Green and Alba attacks Flair and Bliss from behind. Alba kicks Flair in the leg.
Officials check on Charlotte.
We go to commercial.
Match Number one: Alexa Bliss versus Chelsea Green (with Alba Fyre)
Alexa with a Thesz Press and punches. Alexa with a second Thesz Press. Alba gets on the apron and stops Alexa from applying Sister Abigail. Green escapes and Alexa goes after Alba. Alexa with a Thesz Press to Alba and she sends Green back in the ring. Green misses a boot and Alexa stands on Green and stomps on the head. Alexa with a knee drop but she misses the senton. Alexa slaps Green and Green with a flatliner into the turnbuckles. Green sends Alexa into the turnbuckles. Green chokes Alexa in the ropes. Green with a thrust kick. Alexa with a head scissors take down and Green goes to the floor. Alba checks on Green and Alexa with a cannonball off the apron onto Alba. Green sends Alexa into the ring steps.
Green sends Alexa back into the ring and Green slams Alexa's head into the mat. Green with forearms to Alexa and she gets a near fall. Green with short arm clotheslines and a she misses a third one but Green with a clothesline and a Jericho cover for a near fall. Green with a reverse chin lock. Green with an Irish whip but Alexa with a back elbow and kicks. Green pulls Alexa to the mat by the hair. Green sends Alexa to the floor. Alba kicks Alexa while Green distracts the referee. Bliss beats the count back into the ring. Green with an enzuigiri and she goes to the turnbuckles. Green with a missile drop kick and Alexa goes to the floor. Green slides to the floor and she sends Alexa's head into the announce table. Alexa sends Green into the ringside barrier when Alexa reverses things. They both get back into the ring before the ten count.
Alexa with a forearm and Green fires back. They continue the exchange. Alexa with a kick and a shoulder tackle. Alexa with another shoulder tackle and a slap and punch. Alexa with a knee and drop kick. Alexa with a blockbuster for a near fall. Alexa goes for a DDT but Green with a leaping Zig Zag for a near fall. Green goes up top and Alexa stops Green and puts Green in the tree of woe. Alexa with a drop kick into the corner. Alexa goes up top for Twisted Bliss but Alba gets on the turnbuckles and Alexa kicks Alba to the floor. Green gets her knees up on Twisted Bliss. Green goes for UnprettiHER but Alexa escapes. Green escapes Sister Abigail and after a series of standing switches, Alexa gets the three count with a rollup.
Winner: Alexa Bliss
After the match, Alexa is given her title belt, but she leaves it in the ring and the referee gives it to her on the floor where she is given a super kick by Alba. They work over Alexa and Chralotte Flair limps to the ring and she kicks Alba and Green. Flair with chops and Alba drops Charlotte on the top rope and Green with an UnprettiHER. Alba with a Gory Bomb to Alexa.
Cathy is with Sami Zayn.
She asks him about his renewed confidence and match.
Sami says he feels great. He says the last month on Raw, he didn't feel like the best version of himself. He got into his head and he got some self doubt. The way he is feeling tonight, he feels like he did when he main evented Wrestlemania and when he beat Gunther at Wrestlemania. He says there is no better place to do this than in Lyon.
We see a photo of Cody and Brandi Rhodes' new child.
We go to commercial.
Aleister Black tells Priest something is going to happen. He is going to take off the mask and show what hell is about. The violence is going to exacerbate. He will show how misguided Priest is. You sit at home and feel the pressure on your chest and you can't move your arms and you feel paralyzed. That is him kneeling on your chest, whispering 'I Warned You'.
Cathy is with Damian Priest and he is asked about Black's comments.
Priest says Black looks educated and he wants to be like Priest. He says threatening him with violence shows how unprepared he is. He will teach Black what it is like to be him and he will teach him about pain. They will square up in the ring and he will be smiling because he will enjoy what he is going to inflict on Black.
