OVW OVERDRIVE RECAP FOR 8/26/25
Showtime Shanklin vs. Jota Peso
The match begins with Peso getting Shanklin in a headlock and Shanklin quickly gets free, Peso goes after the arm of Shanklin and Shanklin gets free again. Shanklin scores a takedown on Peso and Peso gets up before getting Shanklin in a headlock, Shanklin gets free and he eats drop kicks from Peso. Shanklin recovers and he nails Peso with a drop kick of his own, Peso recovers and he corners Shanklin while landing chops. Shanklin gets mad and he also corners Peso while landing strikes, Peso fights back and Shanklin cracks him with a clothesline. Peso again recovers and he nails Shanklin with some more strikes, Peso then hits Shanklin with a middle rope cross body block. Peso follows up with a stunner on Shanklin for a three count.
Winner: Jota Peso
- Linda Kay welcomes us to OVW Overdrive and she announces that Jessica White isn’t here tonight because she is on assignment, Kay goes over the card for tonight’s show.
Karter Cauffman vs. The Marionette Noelle vs. Teagan Thorne
The match begins with Thorne going crazy and headbutting the top turnbuckle, Cauffman and Noelle work together and they double team Thorne. Cauffman then nails Noelle with some strikes and an arm drag, Cauffman and Noelle do their best to keep Thorne out of the ring before attacking each other. Noelle drops Cauffman before biting her foot, Noelle then hits Cauffman with a full nelson slam for a near fall. Thorne returns and she nails Noelle with a spinning uranage, Thorne attacks Cauffman and she nails her with a few headbutts. Thorne drops Cauffman before landing a neck breaker for a near fall, Noelle returns and Thorne slams her on top of Cauffman for a three count.
Winner: Teagan Thorne
Scorpious vs. Jay DeNiro w/Tommy Boy DeNiro
The match begins with DeNiro shoving Scorpious across the ring, DeNiro drops Scorpious again after landing a shoulder block. DeNiro traps Scorpious in the corner while landing strikes, Scorpious gets out of the corner and DeNiro nails him with short arm clotheslines. Scorpious fights back and he corners DeNiro while swinging away at him, DeNiro gets angry and he cracks Scorpious with more strikes. DeNiro misses a chop and Scorpious focuses his attack on the knee of DeNiro, Scorpious hits DeNiro with a drop kick to the injured knee. Scorpious follows up by nailing DeNiro with The Entertainer for a near fall, DeNiro fights back and he drops Scorpious multiple times before landing an avalanche in the corner. DeNiro then hits Scorpious with a big boot followed by Sleeping With The Fishes for a three count.
Winner: Jay DeNiro w/Tommy Boy DeNiro
- Linda Kay is back and she talks about Teagan Thorne’s win earlier in the show, Kay also talks about Jay DeNiro’s victory as well.
- Linda Kay interviews Jay DeNiro & Tommy Boy DeNiro, with both saying that this is their first ever interview together. Jay says he has had sit-downs with his son and they never really work out in Tommy Boy’s favor, Jay talks about being a pro wrestler for over 25 years and he talks about how proud he is now that his son has become a pro wrestler. Tommy Boy says he wants to help his father in his battle with Tony Evans, Tommy Boy says he is here to stay in OVW. Jay talks about the progress that Tommy Boy has made as a professional wrestler, Jay says that he will be adding more people to The Family down the line. Jay and Tommy Boy both talk about the recent attacks against them by Evans, Jay and Tommy Boy say they will settle their unfinished business with Evans.
"Iceman" Justice Davis vs. Luke Hartman w/Jamie Hartman & Mad Dog Martin
The match begins with Hartman going after the arm of Davis and Davis does the same to him, Davis gets Hartman down while controlling his arm. Hartman gets free and he goes back to attacking the arm of Davis, Hartman then drops Davis with a shoulder tackle. Davis recovers and he drops Hartman with a hip toss, Hartman accidentally crashes into the corner before eating a drop kick from Davis. Jamie interferes and that allows Hartman to hit a distracted Davis with a lariat, Hartman then hits Davis with the Gambler Drop for a three count.
Winner: Luke Hartman w/Jamie Hartman & Mad Dog Martin
After the match, Luke Hartman, Jamie Hartman & Mad Dog Martin attack Justice Davis until Kirko Ky makes the save.
Mad Dog Martin w/Jamie Hartman & Luke Hartman vs. Kirko Ky
The match begins with Ky dropping Martin a few times with some clotheslines, Ky then drops Martin with a release German suplex. Jamie interferes and that allows Martin to attack Ky from behind, Ky fights back and he nails Martin with a neck breaker. Ky then hits Martin with a leg lariat, Luke attacks Ky during the pinfall attempt and the ref calls for the bell.
Winner: Kirko Ky, by DQ
After the match, Mad Dog Martin and Luke Hartman attack Kirko Ky until Justice Davis makes the save. Davis challenges Hartman and Martin to a tag match right now and a brawl breaks out on the entrance ramp, the brawl continues into the ring as the ref makes the match official.
The Sin City Outlaws (Luke Hartman & Mad Dog Martin) w/Jamie Hartman vs. Kirko Ky & Justice Davis
The match begins with Davis clotheslining Hartman out of the ring, Ky then hits Martin with a gut buster for a three count.
Winner: Kirko Ky & Justice Davis
- Linda Kay is back and she recaps went just went down with Kirko Ky, Justice Davis and The Sin City Outlaws.
