8/13 NJPW G1 CLIMAX RESULTS FROM SHIZUKOKA, JAPAN

1 - Hiroshi Tanahashi and Katsuya Murashima vs. Taichi and Masatora Yasuda.

Murashima forces Yasuda to tap out to a Boston Crab.

2 - Ryohei Oiwa and Hartley Jackson vs. Callum Newman and Jakob Austin Young

Jackson pins Young after a Jagged Edge.

3 - Boltin Oleg and Toru Yano vs. SANADA and Yoshinobu Kanemaru

Yano pins Kanemaru with a small package.

4 - Yuya Uemura and Shoma Kato vs. Yota Tsuji and Daiki Nagai

Tsuji forces Kato to tap out to a Boston Crab surfboard.

5 - David Finlay and Gedo vs. EVIL and Dick Togo

Don Fale hits Gedo with a Hand Grenade, while Finlay and EVIL are occupying the referee.   Togo pins Gedo.

G1 Climax 35 B Block Matches:

6 - Shingo Takagi vs. Drilla Moloney

Takagi hits Last of the Dragon and pins Moloney.

Shingo Takagi finishes with 10 points.

Drilla Moloney finishes with 8 points.

7 - YOSHI-HASHI vs. Zack Sabre Jr.

Good match.   They sold it as a YOSHI-HASHI would get revenge against ZSJ for injuring his tag partner Hirooki Goto.

ZSJ tied up YOSHI-HASHI's arms into knots and gets a submission win.

Zack Sabre Jr. finishes with 14 points.   ZSJ makes it into the Semifinals with the lead in B Block.

YOSHI-HASHI finishes with 8 points.

8 - Shota Umino vs. Great O-Khan

Umino hits Second Chapter on O-Khan and gets the pin.

Shota Umino finishes with 12 points.   Umino makes it into the playoffs.

Great O-Khan finishes with 10 points.

9 - Konosuke Takeshita vs. Ren Narita

Don Fale and Dick Togo attack Takeshita on the way to the ring.   The fans were chanting for Narita, which is interesting.   

Takeshita had to fight Narita, Fale and Togo.  Rocky Romero tried to even the odds.  

Takeshita hits a Power Drive Knee on Narita.   Togo pulls the referee from the ring.   Kanemaru hits Takeshita in the knee with a whiskey bottle.  Narita rolls Takeshita into a Knee Bar Submission.   Takeshita gets to the ropes.   Narita misses Hells Guillotine.    Narita with a German suplex for a two count.   Narita hits the Double Cross.   Two count.   Narita goes for another Hells Guillotine.  Takeshita catches him and turns it into a Last Ride.   Kanemaru tries to spray Takeshita with whiskey but hits Narita in the face.   Takeshita applies the Cross Face Chicken Wing.

Narita passes out.    Takeshita wins.

Konosuke Takeshita finishes with 12 points.

Ren Narita finishes with 10 points.
