MORE NAMES ADDED TO FIRST-EVER CHILL OUT EXPO IN NJ, PCO, LAREDO KID, JERRY LAWLER AND MORE NOTES

Former WCW star Gorgeous George and former WWF Hardcore Champion Bobcat (The Hardcore Ho) are the latest names announced for The first-ever Chill Out Expo in Whippany, NJ this October.  Additional celebrity guests have some WWE crossover appeal: WWE Celebrity Hall of Famer William Shatner, Actor and comedian Brad Garrett, who voiced Hulk Hogan in the animated series Hulk Hogan's Rock N' Wrestling and Legendary rapper and actor Ice-T, who appeared at Wrestlemania 16, performing The Godfather's theme.  For more, visit www.BigEventNY.com.

Greektown Wrestling returns to Toronto this Saturday 8/16 live on TrillerTV with Joey Janela vs. Channing Decker vs. PCO, Allysin Kay vs. Megan Bayn, Greektown Cup Match with Sam Holloway vs. Effy, Bill Collier vs. Danhausen vs. Jimmy Lloyd vs. Seleziya Sparx, The Production vs. The Cogars, Spencer Slade vs. Salsa King, Trent Gibson vs. Sonny Kiss, Dreya Mitchell vs. Notorious Mimi and Brent Banks vs. Vince Valor announced.

Masashi Takeda vs. SLADE is the first bout announced for GCW's Homecoming weekend on 8/23 in Atlantic City, NJ at The Showboat. 

WWE Hall of Famers Jerry Lawler and Jimmy Hart will be appearing on 8/29 at the Selmer Community Center at the Hub City Wrestling event, signing at 6 PM Eastern.  Memphis Wrestling history author Mark James will also be signing his books.

Epydemius Jr vs. Laredo Kid has been announced for the  WrestleRave: Food Fight – Lucha event on 9/6 at The Food Zone in Porter, TX.  Laredo trained Epydemius, so there's a teacher vs. student theme there.

Tommy Rich and Doug Gilbert will be appearing as part of a free event at the Henderson County Fair in Lexington, TN on 9/10, presented by Southern Wrestling Superstars.

The Le Mars Sentinel in Sioux Falls looks at a memorial event in memory of independent wrestler Trent Hanner, who passed away in March at the age of 40, with proceeds going to his family.  Our best to The Hanner family.

The Baptist Paper featured a look at a religious-themed independent promotion in Alabama that ran The First Baptist Church Taylorsville.
