After a short recap of the last episode and a preview of tonight’s episode, Shawn Michaels gathers everyone together and makes sure that the tensions from the last episode are calmer. They are and today is all about whether the Future Greats sink or swim. The Legends will take a step back and the Future Greats will be the ones in charge of the matches - EVERYTHING about the match. Michaels stresses the need to work together and putting issues aside.
The Legends get together to decide on the matches. They decide on Harlem Lewis (Team Booker) vs. Anthony Luke (Team McCool), Bayley Humphrey (Team Undertaker) vs. Sirena Linton (Team Booker), Trill London (Team McCool) vs. Shiloh Hill (Team Undertaker), and Penina Tuilaepa (Team McCool) vs. Zena Sterling (Team Bubba). The Legends confirm with each other that they’ll be hands off when it comes to the matches.
The Legends watch the Future Greats work together to put their matches together. Trill London wants to take out the “top guy,” Shiloh Hill. Bayley Humphrey and Sirena Linton are excited to work together. They have become close and want to do well for each other. Bubba Ray talks about the rematch between Penina Tuilaepa and Zena Sterling from Season 1. Sterling helped Tuilaepa get through the match last season and Tuilaepa wants to do better this season. Harlem Lewis and Anthony Luke are shown not agreeing on what they want to do with their match. Lewis and Luke get so heated that Michelle McCool has to get in between them to calm the situation. The Undertaker is shown struggling to not get involved in the Shiloh Hill/Trill London match.
Harlem Lewis (Team Booker) vs. Anthony Luke (Team McCool)
Before the match, Harlem Lewis cuts a promo on Anthony Luke in the back.
They lock up and jockey for position. They spill to the floor and lock up again. They both roll back into the ring and lock up again. They shove each other and then talk some smack. Anthony Luke drives Harlem Lewis into the corner, but Lewis comes back with a forearm. Luke grabs Lewis’ hair and then a side headlock. Luke is sent to the ropes, but hits a tackle. Luke hits the ropes again, but Lewis hits a dropkick. Luke dodges a boot and Lewis gets tied up in the ropes. Luke kicks Lewis to the mat and starts to work over his leg with a leg stretch. Lewis punches out of it, but his knee gives out when he tries to lift up Luke.
Luke slams Lewis for a two count. Luke catches a kick and dragon screws Lewis for a two count. Lewis tries to fight back, but Luke cuts him off with a strike. Luke goes for a kneebreaker, but Lewis rolls him up for a two count. Lewis tries a backslide and gets a two count. Luke kicks Lewis’ knee and goes for a powerslam, but Luke slips out and hits a dropkick for a two count. Luke locks on a leg stretch, but Lewis kicks out of it and starts to fight back with punches. Luke trips up Lewis and tries to slam his leg against the ring post, but Lewis pulls Luke into the ring post. Back in the ring. Lewis hits a hanging neckbreaker on Luke on the top rope and then hits a few running strikes and a back body drop. Lewis’ leg gives out on a suplex, but he’s able to fight out of a powerbomb. Lewis rolls Luke up and uses the ropes to get the win!
Winner: Harlem Lewis
After the match, Anthony Luke cuts a promo about being upset that Harlem Lewis had to cheat to beat him. Lewis had to do it because Luke is the best. Luke outperformed Lewis and will be getting the point.
Trill London (Team McCool) vs. Shiloh Hill (Team Undertaker)
Shiloh Hill clotheslines Trill London as London flips into the ring during his entrance. Hill sends London into the corner and hits a shoulder attack. The referee checks on London and signals for the match to start. London fights back and hits a headscissors on Hill, sending him to the corner. London hits a running hip attack in the corner on Hill twice, but Hill shakes it off and sends London to the corner. Hill hits a European uppercut and sends London to the corner. London ends up in the Tree of Woe on the whip and Hill works him over in the corner. Hill slams London for a two count.
Hill hits a front flip senton for a two count.Hill grabs a chinlock, but London works out of it. Hill cuts him off with a kick and tries to hit a gutwrench suplex. London blocks it, but is lifted to the top rope. Hill grabs London in the corner, but London flips out and hits a couple of running tackles and a front flip neck snap. London hits a basement dropkick for a two count. Hill is sent to the corner and London follows in. Hill gets his knee up and hits a gutwrench slam for a two count. Hill sends London to the corner, but London lifts himself up. Hill catches him and sends him to the apron. London lays Hill out and climbs to the top rope. London hits a Swanton Bomb for the win!
Winner: Trill London
After the match, Trill London is happy to get his first win on LFG. London is even happier to get the win by using the Swanton Bomb, as he’s been practicing it his whole life.
Bayley Humphrey (Team Undertaker) vs. Sirena Linton (Team Booker)
They lock up and Bayley Humphrey quickly sends Sirena Linton to the mat. They lock up again and Humphrey slams Linton. Linton ducks under Humphrey and grabs a waistlock. Humphrey hits a standing switch and slams Linton down. Linton rolls to the floor. They scream at each other. Linton turns her back and jaws at the crowd. Humphrey lifts Linton to the apron, but Sirena strikes her away. Linton climbs to the top rope. Humphrey catches her…and drops her. Humphrey lifts Linton up, but Linton grabs the ropes. Humphrey lets Linton down gently and the referee checks on her. The referee makes the “X” signal.
Winner: No Contest - Injury
Everything stops. The lights come on and the medical team checks on Linton. Linton gets up and gets a round of applause from the crowd. Booker T checks on Linton. Humphrey and the medical team help Linton to the back. In the back, Linton says that she blacked out and didn’t know where she was during the match and then goes to get checked out by the medical team.
Penina Tuilaepa (Team McCool) vs. Zena Sterling (Team Bubba)
This match takes place in front of a live crowd. Before the match, Penina Tuilaepa cuts a promo on Sterling. Michelle McCool and Bubba Ray are shown watching. Zena Sterling cuts a promo on Tuilaepa in the back before the match.
They lock up and jockey for position. Tuilaepa tries to slam Sterling, but Zena slips out. Sterling grabs a waistlock, but Tuilaepa bumps her off. Sterling grabs a waistlock again, but is driven to the corner. Sterling doesn’t let go and ducks a back fist. They lock up. Tuilaepa drives Sterling to the corner, but Zena walks up to the second rope. Tuilaepa slams Sterling from the second rope and Zena rolls to the apron. Sterling hits a hanging armbreaker over the top rope and then gets back in the ring with a kick and a couple of European uppercuts. Tuilaepa blocks a slam, but Sterling hits a chop block.
Sterling hits the ropes, but eats a spear. Tuilaepa pulls Sterling up during the pin attempt. Tuilaepa grabs a nerve hold. Sterling is able to stand up, but Tuilaepa yanks her back down. Sterling fights back with a kick and overhand slaps to the chest. Sterling fires up and hits some chops and a kick to the knee. Tuilaepa pushes Sterling away, but Sterling hits a slam and a double stomp for the win!
Winner: Zena Sterling
Before the points are given out, it is announced that Sirena Linton is still being checked on.
It’s time to award the points! For the men, Bubba Ray picks Shiloh Hill. The Undertaker picks Anthony Luke. Booker T picks Harlem Lewis. Michelle McCool picks Anthony Luke, giving him the point this week.
For the women, The Undertaker checks in on Bayley Humphrey’s emotions before picking Penina Tuilaepa. Michelle McCool and Booker T both pick Tuilaepa, as well, which gives Penina the point. Bubba Ray is not happy about the point going to Tuilaepa and calls it part of a conspiracy. He says that Zena Sterling is the one to beat and everyone has it out for her before walking off.
